Tried Reset Network Settings with airpalne mode on and with it off. Reset router. Updated router to latest firmware. Still unable to connect to network.

My Ipod Touch 4G just started having a problem a few days ago i left my house and reset my network settings because i wanted to see something not thinkign about when i got home and now any time i try to connect to it i ge the unable to connect to network error. Imac FaceTime unable to connect to network (safari connected and loading pages).

I have a brand new Imac, I have never been able to get facetime to work. It keeps getting hung up on the log in page, and eventually gives me an error message of unable to connect to network. Safari and other web based programs are working perfectly.

Do you have two routers? That may be your issue. You should only be using one router, or configure one of the routers and turn of DHCP.

What TC do you have? Model number direct from the base is a big help, it will be A1 followed by 3 numbers.. eg
A1409 Gen 4.. The new AC is A1470
How is it setup?
I need the whole network setup. what modem/router, how is the TC connected etc??
I also need to know what IP the ipod gets, so I can see what mode the TC or network router is working in.

I tried powering down the router. When it's off the iTouch does not recognize the network and then when it's powered on again, the iTouch recognizes the network. Unlike the public wi-fi spots that my iTouch responds to, where all the info like IP Address, Subnet Mask, Router, DNS etc are populated in the settings...my iTouch does not populate these fields at home even though it recognizes the network. I still get the unable to connect to network error. Could it be that my router is antiquated and can not support the iTouch? Like I said earlier, my Router does not recognize the iTouch as being attached to it.

Well, I seem to have issues with WLAN as well.
When I am approx. 10metres away from my Router, the N8 doesn't connect. However, I can connect to WLAN using my Nokia N900, Nokia E52 and my Netbook (Asus EEE1005HA). This is a N-router with standard settings. I have tried changing, the channels etc. but it doesn't resolve the problem.
So is this a problem with the Nokia N8? I mean, all my other wireless devices work fine. I even tried changing the Wireless Interface type from N/B/G, to B/G but as I said before, the problem is still there.
Hopefully this problem can be sorted with a software update, that is if the N8 finds it difficult to connect to Wireless Internet.

I have an Iphone 4 that has been slow for a couple of days , today it started to open app different apps ( click on one and another opened) so i decided to restore and update it . Was running 4.3 . It never updated , has locked in recovery mode . when i try to restore i get a message that the iphone update server network unable to connect . I am running 10.5 itunes on a windows 7 . the iphone is visible in itunes , but when i check the diagnostic it said there is now iOS device connected . Is this a software issue or a hardware issue ? any help would be appreciated .

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

"Unable To Connect" iPhones on iOS 6.1.2

Hi,
I have a Cisco AP1142N on software version 12.4(21a)JA1. I am able to get my iPhone 5 on iOS 6.1.2 and my iPad on iOS 6.1.1 connected along with a host of other Blackberry and Android devices, however I am unable to get any iPhone 4,4S or 3GS connected even if on the latest iOS version.
I keep getting the "Unable to Connect" error on the device.
Is the software version above the latest version? I only have a web interface access to the AP as it is in another part of the building.I currently have TKIP enabled with WPA/WPA2 enabled.
I would appreciate any help or even be pointed in the right direction, most solutions are command based which are a bit difficult for me to try.

I have now created a new SSID (e.g. GUEST2) for which I have set to use WPA, under express security I can see broadcast enabled for both SSID's, however this second ID cannot be seen by any of my devices. I have ticked the "Multiple BSSID Beacon" as Set SSID as Guest Mode.
Nothing happens when I try to click the radio button "Multiple BSSID" for the two Radio's.

Unable to connect to network with Safari and Software Update

A user I support has encountered a problem with networking. He is unable to connect to the network with Safari and Software Update, but IS able to connect and surf with Foxfire and some other programs. Another unusual symptom is that he actually can connect to one web site (which is in his Bookmarks Bar) with Safari, but can't connect to anything else. He's also unable to navigate off of that one site he connects to. When he runs Network Diagnostics, he gets all green lights (no problems). He has fixed permissions, deleted Safari Cache and .plist, rebooted - not fixed yet. He's using 10.4.8 on a PowerPC G4. Any ideas appreciated (this is the wierdest I've seen in a while!).

Here's what he did. After reading your post, he created another location in his network preferences, entering EXACTLY the same info that was in his old location (he even used the old DNS addresses), except using a new location name. Then he chose the new location and "everything worked". It's one of life's great mysteries. Thanks for your help - it is appreciated.

Ive just downloaded windows 10 on my hp pavillions laptop a 15-p264na and it seems like am unable to connect to the network every time i go on edge or firefox I get timed out when I check the drivers it says they are up to date , but how can it check if the drivers are suitable for windows 10 if even I cant get on via edge or firefox It seems via these forums that a lot of users have reverted to windows 8.1 then upgraded again ,My computer says its connected to my router but when i put it through a system check it says theres no connection as if the drivers not suitable for 10 , I am so dissappointed Ive wasted many hours trying to resolve this issue its like the laptop is useless unable to communicate with the outside world so it looks like I am going to have to restore windows 8.1 so any advice welcome

My WiFi and my Ethernet drivers worked on the first boot into Windows 10, then I was prompted to restart again. After that restart I was never able to get on the network again, and in Device Manager it says that both devices were unable to start and had no driver. My only fix was to revert back to Windows 7 then upgrade again. Its been fine since that.
