have a iphone 4. i have downloaded the latest version of itunes to update the ios. I am having problems with the back up and sync and also the update. the update error message is coming up saying it cannot connect to the iphone update server. I am useing a windows 7 32 bit laptop. I have also reset my phone to factory settings. Would taking it to one of the stores and they would do it for me??
any help will be great thank youAll I can tell you is that I am having the exact same problem with an iPod Touch and that I was running iTunes 9.2.1.5 at the time it happened. Upgraded to 10.0.0.68 hoping that it might help, but no joy.
I don't want to do a restore just now since the Touch seems to be working fine. Restore will have to wait until I have plenty of free time in case something goes wrong. -

Two macs, one can connect to iPhone update server, one cannot
We have multiple macs and iphones in the house. One mac can connect to the iphone update server without any problems. the other cannot. Both are on the same network. Both have identical firewall settings. One mac can manually download the iphone update file; the other cannot. Anyone have any idea what could be keeping the other mac from connecting to the download server? The other mac has no network problems with any other sites, only Apple's download server.
Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.Software Update is not offering me any Airport updates on the G4 (or the Intel).
The recent Airport Update, "AirPort Extreme Update 2007-001", is of course only for Intel Macs.
They could only be "trying to use the same IP address" if they were not configured to use DHCP, but they are configured to use DHCP, and whichever connects does get an address in the 10.0.1.[2-200] range so I think that's not the problem. -
Itunes on windows 7 cannot connect to the iPad update server
I have downloaded my windows updates, installed the newest version of iTunes, my internet is fully opel; however, I am unable to connect to the iPad update server so that I can restore my iPad 1 that is giving me trouble. *Sighs* Please help :/
Let's try the following document with that one.
iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
(If the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox is already checked, try unchecking and rechecking it and clicking OK.) -
I've tried updating on both my desktop and laptop, neither work. I have the newest version of iTunes as well, so that can't be the problem. When I run diagnostics:

The only thing I can identify as an issue is that your Windows Firewall is running and iTunes is not enabled in it, so this may be the source of your issue. Here is an article for you that will help you rectify this situation:
How to enable iTunes in Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 firewall

What's up with the iPhone update server. I have repeatedly tried in recent days to update the IOS software on my wife's 3GS iPhone but keep getting message that the iPhone update server cannot be contacted. The phone syncs normally and I am sure I am connected to the internet properly. Also I have successfully updated ITunes software during this same time frame. What gives??
Try this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694 and look at this section.
Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com
Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service. -

Unable to connect to companies in current server as algorithm is not update
Hi Experts,
I have installed SBO 881 PL04 (Installation setup) on Laptop on SQL server 2008 Express.
When I load the SAP B1 Client first time, it ask me to update the password.
When I changed the initial password, now it shows following error
Error : "Unable to connect to companies in current server as algorithm is not updated, run the common upgrade to update security algorithm"
Anybody has idea how to resolved it ?
Thanking in advance,
Samir GandhiHi Samir.....
Try upgrading Common upgrade once again.
This should help you to resolve your issue.
If you still getting same problem then if you have SAP installed in other PC and it is working proper then take SBO Common DB backup restore in your Laptop and then run common upgrade for the same.......
Hope this will solve your issue.....

Dear,
I've had problems with the installation of version 9.0 PL04 (base) when trying to enter the base DemoUS, this system message I get: Unable to connect to companies in current server as algorithm is not update; run common upgrade security algorithm.
Please someone has an idea how to fix (attached image of the message).Try this:
1. Check if the SBO-Common database exist. If you cannot find SBO-Common database you must re-install SBO system on the server.
2. If the SBO-Common database exists, then SAP Business One application version is higher than the SBO-Common database version. Perform version upgrade.

please advise, I like to update my iphone 4 and ipad 2 to 5.1 but I cant connect to the software update server. I've been trying to connect since yesterday. Is anybody have an idea why?
If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try an OTA (over the air update)
Change DNS Servers
Settings -> Wi-Fi
Click the blue arrow on your connected network
Delete everything in DNS and replace it with 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
Try again
If this works, you will probably want to remove the WiFi network using "Forget This Network" and then reconnect to it to get your original DNS servers back. Alternatively, make a note of the original DNS servers before deleting them and replace it after you are done.
If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try through iTunes
On your Mac
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Network.
Select the network connection service you want to use (such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet, unless you named it something else) from the list, and then click Advanced.
Click DNS, and then click Add at the bottom of the DNS Servers list. Enter the IPv4 address for the DNS server.
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
You can Google Public DNS if you want
