Hi
When trying to access webi report , Iam getting Unable to connect to OLAP source
Tried all the notes , All the BICS connections are fine , No of BW gateways are 2000.
Any other options

Hi NK,
Please check:
Is query running fine in BEx Analyzer.
In BEX under the Advance tab in Properties to allow access to BOBJ, we have the "Allow External Access to this Query" please make sure it is checked.

I have the is error when tring to up date my SRSS reports. We recently had our dba reissue the Certificate for our SCCM SQL server and now when I export that certificate and load it in the Trusted Root of any Workstation or any store
on the workstation - I still get the trusted root error??
"The Certificate Chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted:"
"A connection was successfully established wit the server. but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider:
SSL Provider, error 0 - The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted.)"
I am using HTTP: for report server connections.
I had no issues exporting the SQL Server Certificate in the past and importing to computers trusted Root store. Now when I do this the error still appears and I can not edit my SRSS reports in SCCM. The Primary SCCM 2012 Server is also the SQL
server and SRSS reporting server in production.
Where do I go from here?

Getting Java error while connect BEx query to WebI report (SAP BI4.0 )

Not able to connect BEx query to WebI report (SAP BI4.0 ) . Below is the error I get while creating a new BEx connection to BOBJ WebI report .
Please find the below error and help me ,

Hi,
I am on BO 4.0 SP05 Patch 6. Webi reports are just showing processing but not giving results. When I try to create new report it is throwing java security error.
Tried applet patch upgrade(From link : https://websmp207.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000902752013E) for webi certificate but didn't help.
Please suggest what could be done.

Report Builder - Unable to connect to data source

When I attempt to connect to the data source in Report Builder 3.0 with CM 2012, I receive the following error message: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the pre-login handshake. (provider: SSL Provider,
error: 0 - The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted.)
Any suggestions on how to help?

You also need it on the client machine running report builder. Here's the instructions I sent my DBA:
Start>run>mmc>file>add/remove snapins>certificate>Computer Account>Local Computer>Certificates>Personal>Certificates>Issued to: Name of server
Look at each cert. On the 3<sup style="color:#1f497d;">rd</sup> tab (Certification Path) it should say “ConfigMgr SQL Server Identification
Certificate”. Export that cert.
Then on the machine running report builder, import the certificate to the local computer trusted root.
Perfect ... Finally following this instruction solve reporting connection error and reporting services is now running perfectly.

Does Merge dimension button work on BI OLAP Universe webi reports

Hello all,
we are using BI 7.0 queries as our datasource for creating universes. When we are using the webi rich client to create a query, there is add query button and we are able to add query but once I add query I am not able see the Merge dimensions button active, is there some setting that is missing or this capability is not active for BI OLAP query universes?

Merge Dimension button is working on webi report based on OLAP universes.
Check you have the rights in CMC for merge dimension if it is happening all reports.
Under Home > BusinessObjects Enterprise Applications > Web Intelligence it is possible to set the Merge dimensions for synchronization right for groups and users.

Connecting Dashboard to detailed webi report

I have a requirement where, user should see top ten records on dashboard and if user want to dig down into details then dashboard must provide a link which will take user to detailed WebI report.

Unable to do Drill by in webi report and source is BW Query

This will never work, you want to be running at least 10g R2 which can be downloaded from OTN and you will need to apply the 10.2.0.3 patchset and the incremental OLAP A Patch. These can be downloaded from Metalink.

Connection timeout error in web report(portal)

Hi Experts,
Points to note about the 500 connection timeout error
1. Error persists only in portal. query/ report works fine in RSRT and Bex Analyser.
2.As per previous discussions tried implementing SAP notes to change ICM parameter for max of 10 minutes.
However, it is said by Basis team that they can change parameter only if all the report gives the same error.
Since all the report works fine they are nt ready to change the parameter.
4. Error: Time exceeds 600seconds
5.This issue arised only after upgrading the system to 7.3. post - upgrade. this report was working fine before.
6. Even in the portal, report works fine when we use ABAP web link.
Please share your suggestions.

In the trace file there is a error message for this report "Could not find a command, masscommand or group command with alias <new task>. It is defined in group . <TaskCollectionGroup>. pls any one help me. This is for 7.31 NW portal

Unable to connect to SRW224P via web base and serial port on the front until reboot switch

Just installed new SRW224P switch 4 days ago and we lose connectivy to the SRW224P manage switch. Try to Web in to device and also direct serial port unable to get connected, reboot and it works for a little bit but then we loose connectivity again. Also the computers connected to the switch loose their IP address and sometimes unable to get a DHCP address assigned back from are server.
Any suggestions?

I ended up doing a replacement with linksys, the new one has been in place for 2 weeks and it seems to be running ok.

Unable to Connect to Database from Forms/Reports 6i

I can't find anything wrong with my TNSNAMES.ORA file, yet I can't connect to my database through forms or reports.
The errors I keep getting is TNS-12154 and TNS-12203. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Did you literally go into your tns file and put all of your specific envirnmental specifications?
Is the listener up and running?
Are you using the right alias?

Flash Played, install fails, "unable to connect to reliable source"

I have tried to install the latest AFP several times and in each instance the install fails at 47% with error "unable to contact reliable source'. I run Windows 64 bit (XP) and use Firefox brouser. I have run uninstall for older versions and have also disabled Avira security suite but have been unsuccessful. SAYWHAT ?????????

Unable to connect to RDP of Web Role

Hi everyone,
I have had a lot of Web Role for my project.
I have been able to connect to all Web Role via RDP.
However, I couldn't suddenly connect to several Web Role via RDP from 1/20/2014.
When I tried to connect RDP port(3389) via some tools, the port didn't be opened.
This was not firewall problem in my office becasue when I tried to connect RDP port from other Web Role to the Web Role, I saw the same situation.
Can you tell me how to fix this problem?

Did you input the rightly authenticate information? And what's error message did your get form the azure portal?
I suggest you could firstly check your Certificates whether is expires. If it is expires, please refer to this case via (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19577996/how-to-renew-ssl-certificate-on-an-azure-cloud-service).
And secondly, you could try to reboot your instance after your backup and try to connect it again.

Unable to connect to oracle source with SSIS connection manager

I have oracle drivers installed and I am trying to connect to oracle database by using SSIS with oracle provider
Oledb but receiving error as:
Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. No error message available, result code: E_UNEXPECTED(0x8000FFFF).Any suggestions

Solution
Download the Oracle 11G full client.
Install the 32 AND the 64 bit version of the
11G full client (Installation Type: Administrator) and reboot the server afterwards. The 32 bit version is needed for development from BIDS with is 32 bit, the 64 bit version is needed for production with the SQLAgent, which is 64 bit.
Configure the Oracle clients (both 32 and 64 bits) by editing the files
tnsnames.ora and
sqlnet.ora. Try to do this with an Oracle DBA or, even better, let him/her do this.
Use the "Oracle provider for OLE DB" from SSIS, don't use the "Microsoft Provider for Oracle" because a 64 bit version of it does not exist.
Schedule your packages with the SQLAgent.
