Unable to connect to WRT54G2 config page

I recently (~month ago) switched to a new computer after my old one (which I had configured the router on previously with no problems) died. Since then, I have been unable to access my router's config page (entering in the ip address simply results in a blank page with no prompt for username/password). Switching browsers (I've tried Firefox 5 and IE 8) does not solve the problem, nor does disabling AdBlockPlus/NoScript on Firefox. Can any of you figure out a way to help me access my router so I can begin forwarding ports again?

It sounds like your not using the correct IP address of the router. The default IP address for the WRT54G2 is 192.168.1.1. Sometimes you may have to put an "http://" in front of the IP address. Another item to check is to see what IP address your computer is pulling down for its IP address when configured to obtain the IP address automatically from the router's internal DHCP server. Usually, unless the user changed the setting, the router starts numbering the client IP addresses at xxx.xxx.xxx.100 and up. So for example if your computer's IP address was 192.168.3.100, the router's IP address is probably 192.168.3.1.
One other suggestion is to disconnect/turn off all other devices connected to the router including any ISP modem hardware. Its possible another device is defaulting or has a static IP set to the same IP address the router is using and causing a conflict.
A last resort is to do a hard reset by holding in the reset button on the router for at least 30 seconds, then try to access the router's administration page by going to the IP address of 192.168.1.1.

  • I downloaded 3.6 thre times and I cannot log on. I get unable to connect and problem loading page. Prior to downloading the latest update Firefox worked great. Once downloaded it stopped working. Explorer works fine and my broadband connection is good.

I cannot launch Firefox after latest update was loaded.

Problem Solved. Great work, thanks for the prompt and accurate response. This is one reason why I strongly recommend Firefox over Explorer!

  • Can't connect to certain web pages

Most of the time everything works great but once in a while I am unable to connect to certain web pages. 2 weeks ago it was aol.com and steam.com. This lasted 3 days and the problem resolved. Today I cannot connect to gamespeak.com. All other websites load with no problems. It is only gamespeak that won't load. I have 3 computers in my house and all 3 cannot connect. 1 is win7 wired (chrome). another is a win7 laptop wireless (chrome). The other is a winxp system wired (IE8).
If I go to www.polysolve.com com I am able to connect. Current internet access FIOS.
    Any suggestions?

I can type anything into google and press search and I can only go to 3 of those pages, the others will say cant connect to server. Same with pictures, I google something, anything, go to images and half the pictures will be question marks and then the others I click on may or may not have server connection.

  • Application cannot proceed. Internal error occured. Contact your administrator. Error msg: Unable to connect to the database. Please make sure the database information specified in admin/includes/config.php are correct.

After clicking in email link, I get the following message on Firefox page : " The application cannot proceed!
An internal error occured. Please contact your administrator and describe the steps you took before you encounter this error message.Error msg: Unable to connect to the database. Please make sure the database information specified in admin/includes/config.php are correct."
The email asked to install the latest Adobe Flashplayer version to have it working. I installed it, also updated my plug-ins and checked in safe mode that the extensions were not the problem. I also deleted the cookies an cache. Nothing seems to be working so far. I have the lastest version of Firefox 8.0.1 as well as Roboform 7. I noticed that the latest Firefox version has (x86) tagged to it. Does it refers to an 86 bits because my computer uses 32 or 64 bits only. I tried also different browsers and the message kept appearing. How do I resolve this problem?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    * Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    * Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

  • Imac FaceTime unable to connect to network (safari connected and loading pages).

I have a brand new Imac, I have never been able to get facetime to work. It keeps getting hung up on the log in page, and eventually gives me an error message of unable to connect to network. Safari and other web based programs are working perfectly.
    Any Ideas?

How can I get my Mac to join an open 3Com wireless
network? The network is recognised but Mac is unable
    to connect...
The 3Com wireless router is connected to a broadband
router through a PC running XP.
Do you have two routers? That may be your issue. You should only be using one router, or configure one of the routers and turn of DHCP.

  • Unable to connect to Page Server when viewing Crystal Report

Have just moved from Crystal Enterprise 10 to Crystal Reports Server XI R2 and encounter the following error when attempting to view an instance of a report in Crystal Reports format:
    CrystalReportViewer
The Page Server you are trying to connect to is not accessible. Please contact your system administrator.
    Unable to retrieve Object.
The Page Server you are trying to connect to is not accessible. Please contact your system administrator.
I get this when viewing in DHTML format however, everything works fine when Advanced DHTML viewer is used.
The Page Server is running and I'm unable to find any other relevant information being written to either the Crystal log files or the event log.

    Thanks for the quick response.
Have checked the Page Server field and it was in fact populated. Refreshed the page anyway and attempted to view reports again but still not working.
If I change the viewer to ActiveX I get the following error:

  • No web browser (firefox included) will load certain web pages on a Mac. "Unable to connect."

I try to go to those pages. Immediately (without loading or any wait) I get an "unable to connect" message. On Firefox, it says "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.cj.com." On Safari, it says "Safari can’t connect to the server." Yet I can access these websites using a PC which is on the same wireless network.
What is going on?! I don't know where the problem is. Is it the network, the computer, a firewall? It's making me crazy because new sites keep getting added to this "blacklist," often sites that I need to access for my business. This is very inconvenient.
== URL of affected sites ==
    http://www.cj.com, www.cracked.com, www.ezinearticles.com

If this happens with both Firefox and Safari, it may be a problem with the internet connection on your mac. Do other internet applications work (mail, etc)?
Check the Airport menu on your mac and confirm that the icon isn't greyed out or has an exclamation mark.

  • Unable to connect to Gateway Name Server while config Siebel Server

I installed Siebel 8.1.1.11.0 on RHEL 32-bit. I did configuration as following.
Install 32-bit Oracle Client and config TNS.
Install and config Gateway and Enterprise.
    Install Siebel Database.
Use stop_ns, start_ns and list_ns to restart and ensure Gateway running.
Run CreateSiebSrvrEnvScript to generate Env file.
    Modify /siebel/8.1.1.11.0/ses/siebsrvr/siebenv.sh. Change ODBCINI=/siebel/8.1.1.11.0/ses/gtwysrvr/sys/.odbc.ini.
    Source siebenv.sh.
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/home/oracle/product/11.2.0/client_1/lib
Config Siebel Server. While enter info of Gateway, enter SADMIN as account, rhel (configed in /etc/sysconfig) as host name and port = 2320. Then it prompt "Unable to connect to the Siebel Gateway Name Server".
Any step missing to config it?
    Thanks

The siebenv.sh file located in the Gateway directory from a 8.1.1.11 installation doesn't have the enviromentt variable SIEBEL_UNIXUNICODE_DB, which i do have in the siebenv.sh from my 8.1.1.0 installation. Add the following line to the siebenv.sh located in the gateway directory (/siebel/8.1.1.11.0/ses/gtwysrvr in my installation):
    SIEBEL_UNIXUNICODE_DB=ORACLE; export SIEBEL_UNIXUNICODE_DB
Be sure that this variable is set BEFORE you start the gateway and everything should work.
PS- You also need the Oracle enviroment varibles set before you start the gateway. ORACLE_HOME should be pointing to your 32bit client.
    Cheers!

  • Unable to load web pages. This is what I get when I enter them; Unable to connect

Yesterday I turned on my computer & was not able to use Firefox. Nothing had been changed on my computer. No web pages will load. When I hit enter this is the message I get:
Unable to connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.geocaching.com.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

It most likely means your internet connection is out. Wait a little while then try again. You might also want to reboot your computer. If that doesn't work, please reply.

  • My husband keeps getting "problem loading page" "unable to connect" what can he do?

he can't get on to firefox .He keeps getting problem loading page and unable to connect. It says to check for firewall and proxy. It also says make sure firefox is able to access the web. Please help.

"This site makes use of a SHA-1 Certificate; it's recommended you use certificates with signature algorithms that use hash functions stronger than SHA-1.[Learn More]"
That was in the error console when I loaded it in Firefox 38. Is there a Firewall or an Antivirus that blocks the sites with these type of certs? FIrefox is beginning to phase these out. [https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2014/09/23/phasing-out-certificates-with-sha-1-based-signature-algorithms/]
What else, I can only imagine that there might be something going on with the internet connection on the computer if other sites are not working either. However since it is just this site try these steps:
*[[Websites look wrong or appear differently than they should]]
