Unable to connect Win 7 and Win XP PCs in a Workgroup
I am trying to connect new (newer) Win 7 Pro PCs to a Workgroup of all Win XP Pro PCs.
The Win 7 PCs can see each other and the Router. The XP PCs can see each other.
The Win 7 PCs are 64 Bit. They are on a separate subnet (192.168.2.xxx) from the XP PCs (192.168.1.xxxx)
I have two issues:
The Win 7 PCs can "see" an individual XP PC if I type the name (\\name) in the URL or search field but the connection is lost as soon as I close Explorer. I can ping all of the XP PCs from Win 7 PCs.
The XP PCs cannot see any Win 7 PCs and cannot ping them.
The Workgroup name (in one place but not under network - see below) is the same for all PCs.
I turned off the Firewall for a Win 7 PC but that did not help.
I tried to change the Workgroup in a XP PC (My Computer>Properties>Network ID): changed to "My company uses a network without a domain" and changed the Workgroup name but the changes do not stick. They go back to the original settings after
I reboot. Tried multiple times with same result.
Hi,
Multi-subnet TCP/IP network browsing support is available only in a domain environment. Segmented workgroups simply can't be browsed across segment boundaries.
Just bring the machines into same subnet.

Just updated to iOS6 unable to connect to Appstore and passbook doesn't work?
Okay, we'll try the technique from the following post. Be sure to be logged in to your usual user account when doing so. (Otherwise you'll be editing the wrong set of HKEY_CURRENT_USER keys.)
Re: How do I turn off the compatibility mode for ITunes.
Does that clear up the compatibility message? -
Unable to connect to Forms and Reports
Hi,
I'm unable to connect to Forms and Reports. I have done the following installations.
1) First I have installed oracle 9i database in C:\oracle. oracle schema is devlp
I was able to connect to database at scott/tiger@devlp
2) I have downloaded oracle forms and reports from oracle site and installed.
When installing forms and reports, the directory "oracle" is already in use message popped. So changed the path to C:\oraforms and installed both forms and reports.
3) After installation, i tried to connect to forms/reports but couldnot connect. Error TNS could not connect.
4) When i checked the TNSNAMES.ORA, the DEVLP string is available.
Where should i changed the tnsnames??????
Please anybody let me know how to have correct tnsnames and where.
Thanks in Advance
ChettarjeeMr. Sybrand,
Thanks for the reply and I understood your point. Can you please further guide me to get an appropriate Oracle Forms/Reports (Developer) version in order to make application using Oracle Database 10g. Please note that most of my experience is in D2K 2000 rel:6. and unfortunately I came into software development after a long gap that is why not much aware about latest version out there of Oracle Forms/Reports.
But is there really no way to connect D2K rel:6 with DB 10g !!!

Unable to connect to CMC and Java Infoview
Hi
I am unable to connect to CMC and Java Infoview. When I am attempting to connect, then the following message is displayed.
"Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to <web server>:<port number>"
Please give me some suggestions.
Thanks!Hi Stratos
I uninstalled the designer and repaired Crystal Reports Server. But it did not help.
The CMS is running now. But I cannot find all the other services and I am getting the same error when I try to open CMC or InfoView.
I found some of these errors in my system's event viewer:
NT Service message: NT Service Initialization Problem.
The root server reported an error Initialization Failure.
The source for both these errors is BusinessObjects_CMS.
Please suggest something

Outlook 2010 and 2013 are unable to connect but OWA (and mail routing) works fine
Hi-
Not sure why but this past Sunday (just after DST adjustment) outlook clients (using 2010 and 2013) were unable to connect to an Exchange 2013 server. OWA and mail routing (internal and external) is working fine. I've even tried on multiple machines
and all of them experience the same issue. On a new machine with a fresh version of outlook 2013 installed here is what happens:
Click on Outlook 2013
Click Next until the account setup is displayed.
Name and email is auto-populated
Established network connection is good
Searching for email address settings is good (once the self-signed exchange 2013 cert is accepted)
And then the logging onto the mail server fails. The first pop-up is:
The Connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.
Clicking "OK" is followed up with a window with the Microsoft Exchange connection info.
It lists Microsoft Exchange server which is populated with: GUID@<domain suffix>
Mailbox which is populated with: =SMTP:<Valid Email address>
On the Exchange Server I have noticed that the Web Management Service (WMSVC) is stopped and will not start. Starting the service outputs:
EventID 7024
"The Web Management Service terminated with the following service-specific error: Unspecified error"
Not really helpful :)
Since this is only happening with Outlook on multiple clients I'm expecting something with Exchange or the ability for outlook to connect to exchange.
Thanks in advance!Hi
I know this is an old post, but I'm having a very similar issue. I have CU6 installed and all other client connectivity apart from internal Outlook connectivity is working fine. I have distributed the new Self-Signed Certificate and the tested to verify
the clients trust it. I have tried on multiple machine with multiple accounts and none of them connect.
I'm at the stage of reinstalling, but I would rather troubleshoot the problem, just in case ever hit the same wall in the future. I have run Test-OutlookConnectivity with the following output;

Unable to connect control center and start runtime service
Hi guys,
I have owb 10gr2 in my server with repository ods_repo .
last time when runtime service was working fine that time service name ods is registered.
Now when our service name is changed from ods to odstest , from that day i am unable to start runtime service and unable to connect control center service.
I ran following owb script ...and got error in connection
SQL> @E:\SCRIPTS\important_files\owb_scripts\service_doctor.sql
There are errors in one or more PL/SQL packages and functionsPlatform properties have been loaded correctly
Platform location has been seeded correctly
NLS messages have been loaded correctly
The platform service is not availableService script is accessible to the database server
There is a problem with the repository connection information used tostart the service
Here is the detailed error message which contains the connectioninformation passed to the service:-
Cannot connect: user=ODS_REPO host=150.2.0.244 port=1521service-name=ODS
Please verify that this information is accurate
If this information is correct, then please use the'set_repository_password.sql' script to reset the stored password
Is there any file where this connection information
ODS_REPO host=150.2.0.244 port=1521
service-name=ODS
stored so that we can change the service name.
I ran start_service.sql script also and got same error.
plz reply and mail also on [email protected]
as soon as possibleHi sir,
The Actual problem is in our database the service name has been changed from ods to odstest.
After this changes I was unable to connect our repository ods_repo which was using ods as service name then I tried and able to connect .
Then next problem came with control center that was not able to open it. Then after update some tables using update stat specify above reply.
After update I was able to open control center then finally the new problem is location.
I need to edit the location information with new service name so that I can access the repository and tables and can use them in design center.
That’s why I am trying to un register first then edit the service name then again register….<I am unable to do this thing>
I am getting following error when I tried to unregister the ods_target_loc location .
Error : rtc-5320 : location ods_target_loc has not been registered by the current user.
And after using the script getting this
SQL> @E:\oracle10g\oracle\product\10.2.0\OWB_Oracle102_home\owb\misc\unregister_location.sql

Unable to connect Bluetooth Keyboard and magic mouse
I am unable to connect to either my keyboard or mouse. I have a bluetooth keyboard and magic pad in my office that was paired to my Macbook pro but I am not bringing it anymore sense getting my iPad. The iPad seems to see the keyboard but not the pad. But neither will connect. I'm baffled.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated. What do you mean the iPad sees the keyboard but will not connect? Have you un-paired it from the other computer? Should do that first, then do the pairing with the iPad...if it is a supported keyboard. Posters have noted they are unable to pair the old A1016 Bluetooth keyboard, ca 2005, with the iPad.

Unable to connect my Mac and iOS
After updating the Yosemite software on my Macbook i am unable to connect iOS and Mac for phone calls. My iPhone 5 does not have FaceTime? Is there another wayout?
Try a reset, hold the home/sleep button until the device powers off then powers back on and you see the apple logo. Release when you see the apple logo and allow it to finish booting. Once it is done try updating your apps again.

Unable to connect to NWA and Visual administrator
HI all - I have Java stack installed i at its own database which coexists with another ABAP stack on same virtual machine.
I am not able to connect to Visual administrator to install the saplicens. connection error is as follow
Unable to connect to hostname:50104.
I have checked the value of p4 using configtool and it is 50104.
I have 2 extra emergency users that I have created to make sure if do not face user errors. Since DNS is not resolving FQHN, I have updates /etc/hosts file in my pc to make sure there are no network issues.
The only error I see is in ms_dev which is indicating saplicense has been expired.
Any idea, how to solve this problem?
DB= Oracle 10.2.0.2
CRM JAVA 7.0 EHP1
CRM ABAP 7.0 EHP1
Instances CJX(Java instance) and CSX (ABAP)
Tnsnames Listener and tnscsx
Your help is appreciated.
Regards
KHi Sunny, Thx for taking a look. I think I am in right direction after checking the logs. I did not have a chance to configure UME afterthe install. I am not sure if I should use APAP stack as the source. In the same time, My license is expired and can not connect to NWA or Visual admin.
Here are the logs

I can't access to info on iCloud. It requires to accept terms and conditions, but when I tap, it reads'unable to connect to server'. The problem is he e-mail for the iCloud is no longer valid. How can change the iCloud iD only? The Apple iD for the rest of the apps is working fine.
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
