Unable to create a first Domain in JDI CMS system
Hello All,
I have installed JDI and configured SLD and everything seems to be working properly. However, when I go into the CMS service (http://localhost:devinf) and try to create a domain it tells me I am creatinga customer domain and will not be able to transport out of it (OK, Fine), I click save and get a message that says only "unable to process request, please see system administrator".
I have one host serving as the SLD and name server. I am running a J2ee add in system with ABAP as persitence layer. My SLD is set to use Database as persistence layer. I tried changing it to ABAP and trying again but that did not fix it. I have created all users according to plan (CMSadm) and given him all the rights therein.
I have configred the name server in DTR as well, still no luck, still get the message when trying to create a domain in CMS for the first time.
Anyone else seen this or have any ideas?
Thanks!!
Tommy
Hi,
Actually this is not the right place for your question, please look in to Java Development infrastructure Forum. However i will answer your query.
System admin has to create domain(Three letter word)
if you check this url http://<server>:port/devinf as you mentioned you will get DTR,CBS and CMS.With cmsadm user you can create track before that you have to creta Software component.
if you post what, message you are getting it helps us to answer.

Unable to create Trust between domains
Scenario. I am trying to build 2 way trust between two Windows forests abc.com & xyz.com
Highest OS in both domain is Win 2008 R2
FFL and DFL in both is Win2003
I added forwarders in DNS in both - It is resolving
I disabled Antivirus
I stopped Windows firewall in all the DCs of the domains and no n/w level port restrictions is there
I am able to ping to all DCs from each of the DCs in both domains.
Doing above all I am unable to create trust - in the trust wizard it is not identifying Domain names.
Another thing is I have a Primary zone exists in name of each of the domain name. ie In abc.com I have another Primary zone created in xyz.com, Likewise in XYZ.com I have ABC.com primary zone . Will this be an issue?, If not guidelines please...Hi,
>>In ABC.com I have a Primary zone created as xyz.com, Likewise in XYZ.com I have ABC.com primary zone .
How
did
you create these Primary zones? Is there a ABC.com zone in ABC.com?
>>I am unable to put Conditional forwarders because I have a Primary zone exists in name
of each of the domain name
If
there is
a
DNS zone of another domain
then we cannot create a conditional forwarder for the other domain.
Besides,I
suggest you check the SRV Records. You can try to restart the netlogon services
to re-register SRV records.More
specifically, in the command
prompt, type
net stop netlogon to stop netlogon services, then type net start netlogon to start netlogon services.

Unable to create and configure Domain in CMS
Hi,
I have created product and software components and i have defined the usage dependencies also.
After that while creating domain in CMS I am getting the following error
*SLD (URL http://pwdf3065:50000) server exception: User credentials are invalid or user is denied access*
Please help me folks...
Thanks
Harsha1. Check if you have NWDI.Administrator Role
2. Make sure either NWDI.Admin or you have lcr.administrator role.
lcr admin is for updating SLD.
Is your SLD on a different server than NWDI?

Unable to create users in identity management of XI system
Hi
I am trying to create an user using j2ee_admin user in XI system. But I am getting the following error
Current user has user creation permissions in the UME, but cannot create users in the back-end system (data source). The original and possibly untranslated message was: "The unique ID is null and principal cannot be bound!".
Please help me why I am getting this problem and how to resolve it
Regards
SowmyaHi,
Please make sure that you have assigned the role of
SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION role to the user J2EE_ADMIN.
Since, it is delivered without a profile, so you must first generate a
profile otherwise it will not work properly.
Please check that the role is NOT SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO (this is
a read only role and therefore the users won't be able to create the
user).
As described in the SAP Note 748195 you can assign the
assign the SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION role to the communication user.
You must restart the J2EE Engine after you change the role assignment.
Additionally, you can check consistencies on UME using SAP Note 1016283.

Unable to create INITIAL extent
Hi,
While creating a table i am getting the following error
"unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace SYSTEM"
So kindly advice how to fix this.
Thanks,
VineetIf you have a DBA there, ask them what the name of the tablespace is for tables and modify your table create statement to something like
CREATE TABLE mytable (column1 NUMBER) TABLESPACE tables_tablespace;
and chance the tables_tablespace bit to whatever your dba says is the tablespace for tables.
It's probably a good idea to change the default tablespace for the user you are logged into the database with, unless you are logged in as sys, to something other than SYSTEM.

our operating concern.
We do not know why we are unable to create this characterisic.
When we tried to create the characteristic it was shown under 'Transfer from'
But when we wanted to move right to left it was shown under 'grey' status and not ready for transfer.

I'm new with NWDI and CE 7.1.1.
I am studying the tutorial "How to Perform Development with a Track", from the on-line help in NWDS. Everything is OK until I have to create the first DC, whose type is Java. According to the tutorial, I insert in the suitable wizard the definition of the DC and, after having defined a new activity, the dialog to create a new Java project appears. As suggested, I accept the proposed settings by choosing Finish, but the creation of the DC fails with the following error:
Unable to sync local path "C:/NWCEWS.jdi/0/SCs/example.org/MYAPPLICATION/_comp/" from DTR.
DTR client layer cannot locate the resource on the server. (VFS returned null as folder Item).
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.Hi Livio Lazzeri,
Before creating the DC from your prospective you need to first do some prerequisites like Installation of NWDI, configuring SLD. If all these are done then try to create the DC then you will not get any error related to DTR.

Unable to create Windows Guest
Hello,
I have OVM Server 2.2 (2.6.18-128.2.1.4.9.el5xen), running ovs-agent-2.3-31. I have OVM Manager installed on OEL 5.3 x64.
I am able to create an OEL 5.3x64 guest via ISO file with no issues.
I am not able to create a Windows 2003 32bit or 64bit guest. I have been searching here, metalink, google... but not finding what the issue might be (though I have found useful information).
Looking at log files:
/var/log/ovs-agent/ovs_operation.log --> reports success
/var/log/ovs-agent/ovs_root.log --> reports success
/var/log/xen/qemu-dm-72_bbrookodr10.log reports issue (unfortunately not sure what it means):
platform_fixed_ioport: changed ro/rw state of ROM memory area. now is rw state.
xs_read(/local/domain/0/device-model/3/xen_extended_power_mgmt): read error

platform_fixed_ioport: changed ro/rw state of ROM memory area. now is rw state.
platform_fixed_ioport: changed ro/rw state of ROM memory area. now is ro state.
I believe this is the cause for my issue because it is unable to create the VM completely, which causes it to poweroff. And as I see in the /var/log/xen/xend.log
XendDomainInfo.create says to destroy if poweroff.
Any thoughts on what I am missing?
Thanks.
UPDATE:
Apparently I am not using the correct Windows Iso File. I just talked to my Windows admin. This is the SP2 ISO, but still need the Base ISO first. USER ERROR!!!!
Edited by: user634761 on Feb 17, 2010 9:57 AMSo the error was using the wrong ISO file.

Unable to Load Database/Unable to create database.
RoboHelp 6.0 on my PC is suddenly unable to open existing
projects or create new ones. The problem is not in the projects, as
other people can unzip the same set of files and open them with
RoboHelp on their PCs.
The Details:
When attempting to open an existing project (any project
whether in version control or not), I get the message " Open
project was cancelled or the application was unable to load
database for..."
I found the article that says to delete the CPD and XPJ files
and then to use the Edit option to open the HHP file so that
RoboHelp will recreate the two files. When I try that, I get the
message "Unable to create database. Check that the directory is not
read-only." It's
not read-only.
When I attempt to create a new project, the application acts
like it is going to create one, but it just creates a project
folder without the new first topic and then repeats the New Project
Wizard window that prompts for title, etc. It will keep creating
folders and returning to this window in a loop without ever really
creating a project.
RoboSource Control is functioning normally, by the way.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled RH 6 several times, and
have even uninstalled RH 6 and installed to RH 5 just to see if it
could open projects, which it does with no problems. After that
test, I uninstalled RH 5 and reinstalled RH 6, only to encounter
the same problem all over again.
This started happening after I uninstalled other unrelated
software and received a message that some Service Pack 2 files had
been changed and prompting me to insert the Service Pack 2 CD,
which I don't have. This is because our IT department pre-builds
our systems from an image and then distributes job-specific
applications over the network. IT tried repairing Service Pack 2,
but that didn't work. I'd like to uninstall and reinstall Service
Pack 2, but the IT person says it's too risky on a system that was
built from an image.
We would like to find out
which files RoboHelp is looking for when it launches a
project so we can replace those files manually. Does anyone
know what they are or have another suggestion that might fix the
problem?
Otherwise, I am stuck having to allow IT to rebuild my
system. That means reinstalling and reconfiguring everything on it,
just as if I were upgrading to a new PC. This can take a whole work
week. However, I have already spent close to a work week on this
problem, so maybe rebuilding would save time in the long
run.Problem Resolution = HHA.dll
For anyone who might be interested in the resolution to this
issue, we did rebuild my PC and reinstall all of my software. The
RoboHelp installation "complained" that I did not have HTML Help
Workshop on my system and told me to download version 1.4 from
Microsoft. I did have HTML Help Workshop..it's in my programs list.
(It's not listed in programs on my co-workers' PCs, and they were
not having problems, by the way.) But to make RH happy, I
uninstalled the workshop and tried to install the version from
Microsoft. But a message informed me that I already had a newer
version of the workshop on my system, and I was back where I
started. I could open projects, but there were weird problems.
Selecting Topic Properties was met with an error message, and when
the properties window opened, I could only see whatever template
was assigned (or none if the topic had lost its template), and
there was an extra section for Oracle help.
So I started dinking around in the registry to see if I could
get rid of any traces of the workshop so I could install the
version RH wanted or to find any other clues to my problem. Under
HTMLHelpAuthor, there was a reference to an HHA.dll file located in
C:\WINDOWS\system32...only the file did not exist on my system.
(Remember that my original problem was that some Service Pack 2
files were either modified or missing.) So I did a Google search on
that file name and found out that HTML Help Workshop is included in
newer Windows operating systems, but that people used to have to
get HTML Help Workshop from Microsoft, and that some people had
made the mistake of just putting the HHA.dll file into the
C:WINDOWS\system32 folder without also installing HTML Help
Workshop. At this point it was obvious that I needed the HHA.dll,
so I got it from a co-worker's PC. (Looking at the registry
entries, I can also see that my system was built with a slightly
different version of the operating system than my co-workers have.)
Adding the HHA file to my system solved the problem. All
projects but one were fine; one was still exhibiting the strange
behavior. I fixed it by going back to the RoboHelp 5 version of the
project and re-converting it to RoboHelp 6.
I suspect that if I had known about the HHA.dll file before
we rebuilt the PC, I could have solved the problem without going
through that painful process. That is why I thought I should post
the solution even though it was after the rebuild.
