Unable to create a new listener from the EM Console
When I try to create a new listener from Enterprise Manager Console, it displays an error message: Error in getting data for creating new listener. Check if the listener.ora location "/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/network/admin" is a valid one. It is absolutely a valid ORACLE_HOME, in fact, I can setup TNS Connect Alias and Profiles from here, but the listener has became a pain in the neck.
I know I can use the java netmgr or netca or even vi to set it up; however, it is a must that it has to be done through Enterprise Manager Console (show EM manageability issues).

Im using EM, not GC. I did not try to create the listener form EM, as I always created them from Net Manager. After creating them, I used to be able to see them listed in EM, following these steps --> click on the target listener on the homepage --> click on Net Services Administration --> scrolling the scrollbox to listeners and click go.
One day I tried to scroll to "local naming" instead of "listeners", clicked "go" and tried to create a new one (actually cancelled the operation before saving the changes). Since that moment I see the error when trying to see the list of listener in EM.

Thanks for your feedbackCredentials are valid, so the ORACLE_HOME path, otherwise I would not have been able to modify the other TNSNAMES.ORA and SQLNET.ORA.
I use the ORACLE_HOME owner credentials (oracle user at the OS level).

Suddenly I am unable to create a new file from my clipboard
For "years" after modifying graphics in Appleworks, I lasso it & copy to my clipboard. Then I open PS (CS5) and select "new", then paste from the clipboard to continue my editing. Suddenly when I paste a clipboard item, all I get is PLAIN WHITE in the proper size. I'm running on OSX 10.6.6, with my PS 12.0.2.
Why has this happened. I went to PS Help and couldn't find anything to help me.
(My work around: Open Graphic Converter, and save as a JPEG file. Then I open THIS file with PS.)

I thought of this and tried to create the RH11 project on my hard drive in the My RoboHelp Projects > Adobe RoboHelp 11 folder. RH11 is not creating the .xpj file.

How do I simply create multiple contacts from the same company? In Outlook this is achieved using by "New contact from same company". Is there a similar function in gMail contacts?

Custom workflow... creating a new user from the End User's point of view

</Extension>I ran across the same error today. Since it's been over a month, I assume you've fixed it already or decided you didn't need it at all? What was your fix?
For me, I noted that in the sample directory, a similar "createView" call (in End User Anonymous Enrollment) also includes this argument:
<Argument name='viewId' value='User'/>
When I added that to my createView call, the "Missing view id" error went away, and the user are gets created.
I'm not entirely comfortable with the value specified, though; seems like view IDs should be more unique. I would have thought it should have been something like this instead:

I bought a new iPad 2 and I was trying to create entries on the calendar application but I cannot because there is no plus sign(+) at the bottom right corner of the calendar application. Please assist?
Try going into Settings > iCloud and toggle Calendars 'off' and 'on' and see if you then get the '+'

Unable to create a new sheet in the excel

We are using BO Dashboards 4.1 SP2 with MS Office 2013 32bit. Problem is we are not able to add extra sheets to the work book. The option to insert additional sheet is greyed out. Is there a solution??

Which support pack are you currently working SP1 or SP2? Also, you need to check if the installed version is 32 bit.

Can you create a new comp from a clip after you already have one in your project?
I know if you create a new project and import a clip, then drag that clip down to the timeline panel, After Effects will create a new composition based off of the specs of the clip, which is exactly as long as the clip. Is there a way to do this after you have already created one composition in your project?

Actually, that's not quite right. To create a new composition with settings that match those of the footage item, you drag the footage item to the Create A New Compsotion button at the bottom of the Project panel. See "Create a composition".
If you drag a footage item from the Project panel to the Timeline panel for an already existing composition, then you are telling After Effects to create a new layer based on that footage item inside the existing composition.
If you drag a footage item to the Render Queue panel, then After Effects creates a new composition from the footage item and immediately adds that composition to the render queue. -
Create a New Contact in the same window

I want to create a New Contact from the Quick Create Link and want it function in the same way that the "New" / "Copy" Button functions
Currently:
Quick Create Link opens a Contact in a New Window.
Requirement:
Contact should open in the same window. Also, I want this function to work from the Quick Create Link on the Action Bar.
Any thoughts? can we achieve this using some javascript?

I am unable to create a new folder on either of my auxillary disk drives. I can access the files and folders that were there when I transferred one of the drives from a PC. Time machine uses one for backup and I want to use the other to store photos which are large files. An help would be appreciated.
Thanks for the reply. If I reformat the drive will I be able to access the files on it from the MAC. I do not share the drive with a PC. The files were originally created on a PC which I no longer use. I do want to continue to access the files put there by the PC. I would like to not have to copy them over to the MAC hard drive just to use them. The second aux drive is new and works fine because it was formatted by the MAC. I can drag and drop files there and work with just as if they were on the internal drive.

Hi folks. So I ran the boot camp wizard and made a USB install key for windows from that. I boot to it and everything works until I get to the install. I format the Boot Camp partition as indicated in the walkthrough and then I get "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information." from the Windows installer. What do I do? Thanks.
just to add to the mix. . . i just got a new macbook retina.
Originally used a USB flash drive. Hit the same barrier described here.
Spent a few hours with drive unplugging / replugging silliness. No progress. Went back into OSX to attempt using an external DVD drive. There is no option for that in Bootcamp assistant now - must use USB.
Grabbed a different USB stick and started again. This time I used the other USB port on the macbook (the one on the left). Everything worked fine this time!?
You still have to go into "advanced options" and hit "format" when you get to the partition screen.
Moral of the story: different stick, different port. Sounds random. If that doesn't work, try changing your socks and putting on a hat.

I have an Exchange account that behaved similarly to what you are describing. I finally realized that I had to allow pop ups in order to access my mail on the server. -
Each year for the past 5 years I make a family calendar and send copies to all he family members around the globe. I hate that I have to recreate all the birthdays and special occasions from scratch, and re-drag all the photos onto these dates, in the lower half of the page of each month on the new calendar. How can I create a new calendar for the current year and port all of these photos/comments into the new calendar from last years calendar, to save having to redo all this work!! I am not talking about the upper half page of the photos only...I am referring to the calendar page of each month.

ColinWelcome to the Apple Discussions. Open iWeb so you see your original site in the left hand pane. Use the File->New Site menu option to create a new site. Give it the name you want.
Now select a page in your original site and type Command+D. That will duplicate the page. Drag the duplicate page down to the new site and rename it as needed. Do that for the other pages you need in the original site.

for some reason , when i restore my iphone 4s to factory settings my headphones work when listening to music or youtube videos but when i backup my information onto it , it only comes out of one ear bud and i just got a new one from the apple store. my old iphone 4s audio jack was messed up but i just got a new one with my warranty , can anyone help me please.
It doesn't matter what it is in your backup that's causing the problem because you can not selectively restore things from your backup. It's all or nothing.
Set you phone up as a new device and start over.
