Unable to create a new view for SAP UI5 in NWDS

Hi UI5 Profis,
I'm just getting started with SAP UI5 and wanted to create and run my first application using the UI5 Tools wirh NWDS. After having installed NWDS and the UI5 Tools
I create new SAP ui5 project, but the wizard always run into error, when I want to create new view.
Did someone already have the same issue?

Which is your NWDS version?
It seems there is a bug on view creation with 1.8.8 version:
1814417 - Patched version 1.8.8 of UI Development Toolkit for HTML5

Create a new view in a enhance component

Hi All,
I want to create a new view for sales order and quatation in a component BP_factsheet.When i craete new view ,it is asking about some value like model node, bol entity, higher level, bol realtion.after that is is asking context node ,bsp application ,custome controller and view type.How can i get these value .when i create a new view then have to add these view in run time repositry under a window or not?

I have 2 auxillary disk drives for my MacBokk Pro. Time Machine uses one for backup and I use the other for storage, but I am unable to create a new folder or drag and drop files or folders to the aux drive.

I am unable to create a new folder on either of my auxillary disk drives. I can access the files and folders that were there when I transferred one of the drives from a PC. Time machine uses one for backup and I want to use the other to store photos which are large files. An help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. If I reformat the drive will I be able to access the files on it from the MAC. I do not share the drive with a PC. The files were originally created on a PC which I no longer use. I do want to continue to access the files put there by the PC. I would like to not have to copy them over to the MAC hard drive just to use them. The second aux drive is new and works fine because it was formatted by the MAC. I can drag and drop files there and work with just as if they were on the internal drive.

In tax we can configure taxprocedure two types i.e., taxinn and tainj. If you adopt taxinn procedure if it is other than VAT condition first you have to create the condition type and then you have to go to FTXP and assign the tax required VAT percentage to the repective % to ded or non ded VAT condion type. In second step you have to assign this tax code to respective company code.
If you adopt taxinj procedure you have to a create tax code with FTXP T-code by assigning the values to the respective and save conditions.

Unable to create custom phone labels for new contacts since the upgrade

I have a AT&T iphone 4 version 4.3.1 and since the last couple of recent upgrades I have been unable to create custom phone labels for any new contacts because the lower label options are gone. This is only a problem with new contacts. My existing contacts with custom labels are still there and if I edit those contacts the table that has create custom labels is also still there, but not for new contacts. Has anyone else noticed this problem.

If you read the error above about the hash and manifest, you will se this is a RB Setup error and not a CM12 error. You would be better to post your question in the SQL forum or better yet to use BIDS instead.

How to create a new view by copying from standard view in IC webclient?

Hello, expert,
I need to enhance a sap standard component (BP_Factsheet), inside it I need to create a new view by copying from an existing standard view (Acitivities). However when I try to make a copy, I was asked for destination BSP application, I entered the Z-Application which I used when defining enhancement for the component. After the copy, I don't see the new view.
Then I tried the destination BP_factsheet, instead of the z-application, then after the copy, I can see the new view. However since it's in SAP application, it seems like it's a MOD, not enhancemnet, and inside the new view, the classes (for context, context nodes, etc.) are not in custom namespace (not starting with Z).
So please let me know how can I make a copy of sap standar view in custom namespace.

When copying you can put any BSP name..normally the practice is to prefix the standard name with a Z.
Secondly when you want to make changes to the individual classes and methods you need to right click and say enhance. Then the AZ class names etc would be generated. The view should appear in the component wherein you copied the original view from.

Creating a new view in a component

I am trying to create a new view in a BSP component using the wizard. But the context nodes are not getting created. Its throwing up an error - "View not copied with wizard; processing not possible".
What could be the problem ? Pls help.

Before posting error, please search for it.
Here is what i found here in 2007 forum itself.
I guess you have not enhanced your component and your view.
Without enhancing the component it is not possible to add a new context node.

Error while creating a new site for a supplier associated with an Employee

Hi
We create suppliers for all the employee when we get daily HR feed and create a default site OFFICE for all of them,
Now when from the front end we try creating a new supplier site HOME.
It gives an error

We want to create a new field in header level and item level.
As per the thread the solution is given below.
In the IMG Config: Quality Management -> Quality Notification -> Notification Types -> Define screen areas for notification types Then Choose 'Define screen areas' Then Click on 'New entries' button Now, select the relevant Notification Type and click in 'Enter'. Select the 'Iten Cases' register and remember to setup the Tabstrip Header, Icon, etc. Set the 'Tabstrip active' flag. Then Save.
Quality Notification -> Notification Types -> Define screen areas for notification types
WE ARE UNABLE TO FIND IN CUSTOMIZATION PATH --> DEFINE SCREEN AREAS FOR NOTIFICATION TYPES.

Lets say Defect location need to be hidden, the field TXTCDOT need to have the radio button HIDE.

By double clicking the "DEFECTIVE QUANTITY (EXTERNAL), WE COULD NOT GET --> field TXTCDOT .

Can anyone explain me how do we create a maintainance view for a table?
Also, what access is required to create the view.
Is it true that for SAP tables we cannot create a maintainance view?

I can see the MP is imported successfully, Then I query the DB for folder:
select * from Folder
where folderName like '%report%'
which gives me some rows containing the folder with parentID = '77C85F13-0D2F-5989-F175-781DE54AD627'
this GUID belongs to "ServiceManager" folder which is the parent folder of "reports" section.
All goes well without error, yet the folder does not show up!
I have tried sealing the Mp but still to no avail.
What I have done wrong?

you have to use the MM01 tocde and enter the mateial you want extend for new view. system will propose the view and select the new view.
Or use MM50 for mass

how can I create a defaut view for the MS Project Server 2010 client?
I saved a template and set a default view under File -> Options ->Project View. I also did the same in the checked-out enterprise global. If I then close the client and re-open it my default view changes back again to the previous one (not the view
I set as a default view).
What explains this behaviour and what can I do? Any hints?

The view you selected by clicking File > Options > Project View is the default view for every new project you create from a blank project template. This is a global option, so setting it from the checked out Enterprise Global file serves no purpose.
When you select a view as your default view, you will see that view applied to the blank project that is opened when you launch Microsoft Project 2010, and you will see it applied if you create new blank projects. If you create enterprise templates for
people to use in your organization, you should simply apply the view to the template that you want as the default so that users will see this view immediately when they create a new project from the template. In addition, if you apply a view to an open
project, close and check in the project, and then reopen the project, you will see the last view applied in that project (as Guillaume correctly points out).
Beyond this, there is no method possible for the Project Server administrator to specify a default view for the Microsoft Project application used by the project managers in your organization. This is an option each PM must set. Hope this helps.

You cannot implement that functionality using the Workspace views. I suggest having a screenflow that uses a JSP to display the information in the way you want. This screenflow can be exposed as a global activity.
