Unable to create a SSH key

Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place to post, so I hope you can help me, basically I am tryin to setup github using the command line instructions but I am unable to do it using the Terminal, here a copy/paste from the terminal:

When you create a foreign key, it must reference a unique or primary key. The primary or Unique key must consist ONLY of those columns upon which the Primary key is based.
You must Alter the table and add a Unique key if you want to keep your compsite primary key constraint. The Unique key must be for only the column that your foreign key references. Then try to recreate your foreign key.
I doubt you will be able to add a foreign key because I suspect you might have multiple rows with the same value for this column based on your composite key; however, if you only intend for the project number to be listed only once and to be unique for each row, then the unique key may work or you may want to revist your primary key on this table. Perhaps you don't need it to be a composite PK???
If you can't work around that, one thing you can do is build a table based just on PROJECT_NUMBER that contains details about the project number and have other tables reference that. That is, if you have multiple rows with the same project number in that table. You may already have one? Perhaps you can build your foreign key to reference that?

Unable to create ssh key

Hi all,
I'm having trouble creating an ssh key in the Terminal on Snow Leopard. Here are the steps I follow:
$ ssh-keygen -t rsa
Generating public/private rsa key pair.
Enter file in which to save the key (/Users/.../.ssh/id_rsa): (I hit enter)
/Users/.../.ssh/id_rsa already exists.
Overwrite (y/n)? y
Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase):
Enter same passphrase again:
(And then I see this message:)
open /Users/.../.ssh/id_rsa failed: Is a directory.
Saving the key failed: /Users/.../.ssh/id_rsa.
How can I bypass this error? I thought maybe the problem is that I have a previous keypair, but if so I followed the steps outlined in http://help.github.com/mac-set-up-git/ to remove the old pair before generating the new one, and I still get the same error message.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I actually fixed the problem, if anyone else comes across it: if facing this issue, when backing up and removing existing ssh keys before generating new ones, the command should be
$ cp -R id_rsa* key_backup
(Add the -R to the line in the GitHub instructions.)

Sender sFTP Adapter - SSH Key

Hi All,
I have a small doubt regarding Sender sFTP Adapter. This is what we have done to connect with one of Vendor
1.     Basis created a SSH key in NWA for Vendor and sent to them.
2.     They linked the SSH key with user name and asked me to use the same.
3.     We got the firewalls openepd b/w PI and Vendor
4.     I provided the same detail in sFTP adapter, but I am not able to connect,
I am getting below error:
Error: Cannot connect to SFTP server. Host=########, port=22, username=#####. Private key store=########, private key alias=piPKCS12. Timeout=300000 msecs. Absolute home directory=.: KeyStoreException in Method: getPrivateKey( KeyStore, String, String ). The requested keystore type is not available in the default provider package or any of the other provider packages that were searched. (Software version: 3.0.14.2)
Please provide your inputs.

Hi,
The first thing you have to do is use the same userid and the pwd and try to connect to the vendor system from your application layer and see if this is connecting or not. If there is a problem in connection then there are few steps that you have to follow. Below are the steps you need to follow:
1. Open the port from your Vendor side as well as open the port from your XI system(there might be two ports)
2. Generate the key of your vendor system and one you started login to the system then it will ask to instal the key , so acept it.
the IS people can help you out over here.
3. Try to push the one dummy file in that location manually using the command in application layer.
4. check the authorization in the target directory and try to provide the proper authorization,, 777 is used for full authorization.
5. use the same useid and the pwd and then try from your xi system processign a dummy file.

Ssh keys copy to remote host

I have created some ssh keys and trying to connect to a linux remote server
here is the command line:
ssh-copy-id -i ~/.ssh/id.rsa.pub [email protected]
but i get -bash: ssh-copy-id: command not found
what is the correct command please

ssh-copy-id is a script on Linux. Since it is just a script, if you have access to a Linux system, you should be able copy the script to your Mac and use it.
Or you can just use
cat ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub | ssh [email protected] "umask 077; mkdir -p .ssh ; cat >> .ssh/authorized_keys"
This ASSUMES that the destination [email protected] uses authorized_keys, and not authorized_keys2.

OEM12C BP1 Default preferred credentials with SSH key credentials ?

Is it possible to configure Host Default Preferred Credentials to use a named credential created with SSH Key credentials ?
The drop down list only lists credentials configured with host credential types.

host target type has 2 out of the box credential set HostCredsNormal and HostCredsPriv
And both these are of type HostCreds (Username and password)
And there's code which assumes these to be of type HostCreds and process password.
Hence these are left as is.
What customers can do is, create additional credential set (emcli create_credential_set) and use HostSSHCreds type for it.

[SOLVED]ssh key persists across logins - xfce/ssh-agent/pgp-agent

I am a new Arch user. I must say, that I am very happy with my installation so far. Thanks for providing a sensible Linux distribution.
I am coming from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with xfce as desktop. Ubuntu 12.04 has xfce 4.8.2. Now I am running lightdm and xfce 4.10 which I consider a very useful desktop environment. Now, there is one bug I ran into and I didn't see it documented anywhere :
After logging out or even rebooting, my ssh-key was still cached/stored by gpg-agent.
Now, well. Can't be that hard, can it?
% ssh-add -D
SSH_AGENT_FAILURE
Failed to remove all identities.
Great! Now that really bugged me: I am unable to remove my ssh-key, even across reboots!
It took me a while to realize, that gpg-agent is now capable of handling ssh-keys.
I was unable to find any startup configuration for gpg-agent in /etc/profile[.d], systemd, .xinitrc, ...
Disabling xfce-session gpg-agent autostart
After even more searching, I found xfce to be the culprit:

Apparently xfce4-session starts gpg-agent
To disable it:
% xfconf-query -c xfce4-session -p /startup/ssh-agent/enabled -n -t bool -s false
Kind'a obvious, right?
Key recovery
To get rid of the ssh-key dangling around unencrypted (?) on your harddisk, have a look at
$HOME/.gnupg/private-keys-v1.d
Looks like gpg-agent is storing ssh keys here. I simply deleted the directory.
BE CAREFUL: I don't know if the directory is only used for cached ssh keys. You might have other valid keys you don't want to delete there. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this.
Now I have my good old ssh-agent back, started automatically as described in the wiki

I am running an SQL(CE) script to create a DB. All script commands succeed, but the DB get "broken" after creating the last costaint: after running the script, viewing table properties of Table2 and clicking on "Manage relations" gives the following error: Unable to create foreign key: InvalidArgument=Value of '0' is not valid for 'index'. Parameter name: index. Wondering what does that refer to...

I know this is kind of old post, but did this realy solved your problem?
I'm getting this same error message after adding a FK constraint via UI on VS2008 Server Explorer.
I can add the constraint with no errors, but the constraint is not created on the DataSet wizard (strongly typed datasets on Win CE 6) and when I click "Manage Relations" on the "Table Properties" this error pop out:

Even after vreating my table with the relation in SQL the same occurs:

Unable to create a management pack key token to seal a management pack using MPSeal.exe

I am trying to seal a custom made management pack. I refereed Jonathan
Almquist blog to do it. When i do it i get a error message Access is denied while creating a public key token.

C:\MP_Seal - To keep the SN.EXE & MPSEAL.exe and the unsealed management pack.
Created 2 folders named output & Pubkey in C:\MP_Seal
Opened command prompt Run as Administrator:
I am a domain admin and i have full access to the whole server
Ran the below commands to generate a Key
Note: I have changed my key name in this article to Mykey.Snk due to privacy issues.

2.C:\MP_Seal\sn -p C:\MP_Seal\Mykey.Snk C:\MP_Seal\PubKey

The first command how ever generated me a snk file. The second shows Access is denied
Also created the same setup in the D:\ Drive as well. Still the same issue occurs

Unable to create the temporary folder. Error 183 when starting Distiller

New information discovered - see end of message!
Full error message is (window title is Acrobat Distiller):
"Unable to create the temporary folder
Error: 183 - cannot create a file when that file already exists."
I have no idea what file or what folder it is referring to. This is on an x86 Vista notebook and the message comes up when starting the notebook and also if you manually start Distiller 8. Updating did not help, nor did turning off the UAC, or running Distiller as Administrator. In the latter case, Distiller will open correctly, but the next time you need to use it, it fails. With the UAC turned off, the behavior is for it to show the Distiller window for a fraction of a second and close immediately. I also gave the user full rights to the C:\Program Files\Adobe folder and lower. Made no difference.
Coincidental with this is that the PDFMOfficeAddIn.dll add-in will not enable in Word - when it is checked, and I hit OK, I get the message:
"The connected state of Office Add-Ins registered in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE cannot be changed."
All of this is going on when logged in as an administrator. I have seen folks post about this issue, but no answers that actually fiux the problem, just suggest what I have already tried. Anyone seen this one?
The user is highly mobile, so I am not going to have a chance to work on her computer again until next week.

I tried removing and reinstalling as administrator and the problem remains. However while trying to troubleshoot, I discovered some more details.
The message is being thrown when acrotray.exe is started as a process in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Control Set\Run and then tries to run acrodist.exe (which fails, BTW). If I don't let it run there and run acrotray,exe as administrator, then acrodist.exe runs as a process without an error. Additionally, stopping it from running in the registry, and then starting MS Word, the Acrobat add-in does load and even though there is an error thown, it still creates the PDF! I have other Vista 32 notebooks running various Acrobat versions with no problems.
Another key thing I found out is that Acrobat started throwing the error after an HP Scanjet 8400 and its software were installed. I tried explicitly giving the user (already an administrator) full rights to the Acrobat, HP and Read IRIS directories. Did not help the problem. I have to think that there is some interaction there, but sure don't know what it is.

what i did to eliminate that error message, i don't think it eliminated th
e problem but now i can reboot and log in OK, was 2 things:
i went into my system registry and unchecked to start at startup and then disavled it.
i also had to go to each adobe icon, right click, go to properites, and than make all selections set to be administator.

Unable to create IDOCs after client copy

I'm unable to create IDOCs after a client copy. I receive a SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC or insert of duplicate rows ABAP dump.

What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLEDI1" had to be terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.

Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was
neither
caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure

Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
the database and that record already exists with the same key,

situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)
How to correct the error
Use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert only if you are sure that none of
the records passed already exists in the database.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC" CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DBC
"SAPLEDI1" or "LEDI1F09"
"F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
Save->Local File (unconverted)".
2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes

Export gives "Unable to create" error,Can't EXPORT or SHARE modified images

I am running iPhoto 8.1.2 and I cannot export or share any images I modify.
Upon editing images (cropping or enhancing color profile), I am unable to drag and drop images to my desktop (gives a "∅" symbol) which I used to do all the time. I cannot export them - iPhoto gives an error: "Unable to create" filename error...
If I look at the "Show file" and verify the contents of the folder, none of the images I have modified appear there. If I look at "Show original file" all the original files are there but do not have my edits/cropping, etc. Where are my modified images going and how can I get to them? iPhoto seems like it is getting Alzheimer's or something...
I have tried closing and re-opened iPhoto and all the images thumbnails appear to be ok with my updated crops/enhancements. Double-clicking and opening them opens files with the correct edit/enhancements. Everything seems ok until I try to export or share any of the modified photos.
I tried rebuilding iPhoto and selecting the first 4 options but after the rebuild the problem still persists...
None of the files that I cropped/enhanced appear in the "Modified" folder for that date. There are some files there, but they appear to be files that I deleted!
So, where are my cropped/enhanced photos going??? iPhoto shows them ok in the Events, etc. but they are not in the "Modified" folder and I cannot export, drag/drop, email or share them...
This has been happening to me for awhile now and it is very frustrating. iPhoto is ok so long as I don't do any cropping or enhancing. If I do that, then it gets all screwed up...
I know that I can use something like "iPhoto Library Manager" to rebuild stuff but I don't want to lose any of my data. I have done extensive work with faces, places, attributes, names, etc...
I JUST WANT iPHOTO TO WORK LIKE IT IS SUPPOSED TO AND LIKE IT USED TO!

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair Library permissions.
If the permissions have been mucked up somehow, it's likely that your edits have not been saved.
If the fails:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Then do the following:

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download IPhoto Library Manager 4 for OS XC 10.6.8 and iPhoto 8.1.2 and later or iPhoto Library Manager 3 (for OS X 10.5.8 and iPhoto 7.1.5 and earlier) and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu (iPLM 3) or Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu (iPLM 4) option.
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I have done both. When I hold down the "C" key it pauses for a few seconds while the cd spins and then the flashing folder icon appears.
Could be you have the wrong cd/dvd. The mac will only boot a supported cd/dvd for your machine. The flashing question mark indicdates your machine could not find a valid os.
When I hold down the "option" key for the startup manager the cursor comes up and moves but the actually manager doesn't come up no matter how long I leave the laptop on.
Not sure. Could be your machine does not support the startup manager. You would think the machine would ignore the key.
Where did you get the dvd? What is the number on the DVD?
What machine do you have anyway?

[URGENT HELP] Why is cannot install Windows 7 on my X120e? ERROR : Setup was unable to create..

i have got X120e from my college with ubuntu 11.04 installed. But my half of softwares dont work on this Lunix OS so decided to install windows 7, downloaded officially as i have keys for activation.
I used USB drive to install, Windows 7 setup sucessfully started on boot up but its getting error

I have not connected any other devices.
My Hard disk is NOT dynamic, its basic.
I have contacted lenovo service centre, but this are taking up calls.
I am fed up of this, please help me..

Hello,
Do you just want to delete the Ubuntu partition? If so, you may be able to do by booting from the Microsoft Windows 7 installation disc, pressing Shift+F10 to get to a Command Prompt, and then using the DISKPART.EXE program to erase the hard disk drive.
