Unable to create Alias in 11g

Hi
I have one product table.
i am trying to create Alias on Product table. In physical layer i was right clicked on Product table. It shows all options( like New object, Update row count, view data.......etc)
when i am moving cursor on New object it doesn't showing any options.
Is any differeces in 11g. how can i create alias in 11g

No. you should be able to create alias table. please verify if you are trying to create alias on topn of existing alis table that you cant. otherwise restart services and try again.

There have been numerous complaints about this issue, and I've not seen any sort of explanation for it. I imagine it's not happening globalloy and continuously, or we'd have been absolutely inundated with complains - it may be a server glitch. After all, one does often see websites going off for short periods, or things not working properly for a bit.
You can just keep trying from time to time and hope that it sorts itself out; or you could try contacting Support, though I don't know how far you are likely to get there.

Unable to create alias

I've noticed that with several apps the cmd-L command to make an alias does not work. Likewise with these same apps the make alias command in the finder's file menu is grayed out and unavailable.
Can anyone give me an explanation of this and what I might do to remedy it

1. The Command-L keyboard shortcut to create an alias is a Finder shortcut. Likewise, the Make Alias contextual menu choice only operates in Finder.1.1. What are the "other apps" in which you are attempting this?
1.2. Is it related to specific file types?
1.3. What changes did you make to your Mac before this problem arose?2. An errant Startup or Login Item may be the cause. My "Troubleshooting Startup and Login Items" FAQ can help you pin that down if such an item is causing the problem.

Unable to Create Alias Entry

I have setup a new sever with Comm Suite on it. I recreated the user in the ldap sever and imported their email and calendar data. Everything is working great except one pesky problem. I changed the ldap structure in the new server to o=isp from dc=domain,dc=com in the old. My problem is that we have a lot of other servers that authenticate using the ldap server and I need to some how alias dc=domain,dc=com to point at o=isp but the ldap server keeps giving me the message.
adding new entry dc=domain,dc=com
ldap_add: No such object
I'm using Directory Server 6.0

1.) I was wondering what the command looks like that you are entering?
2.) Is o=isp at the top of the Directory Tree?
3.) Is dc=domain,dc=com at the top of the old Directory Tree?
RFC 4512 has some discussion about alias entries and RFC 4517 has info about DN matching rule syntax. http://www.ietf.org/
(Ran into this while researching SSL & LDAP and remembered seeing your post about alias question.)

Unable to Create a new Analysis in OBIEE 11g

Hi All,
I have installed OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0 in Windows 8 .All the links in presentations services are working properly except New icon. I am unable to create a new report , dashboard,filter or prompt .I can see my Subject area in Manage privileges but it is not opening all the links in Manage links are not working .Weblogic has following roles Administrators ,BI Author, Bi Administrator ,Bi consumer but still unable to create a new report.

Unable to create a connection in SQL developer

I'm unable to create a connection in SQL developer..it says I/O Exception, Network Adapter could not establish a connection...i provided the username and password which i used for SQL*Plus, which is working fine. And i gave the host as localhost. I don't know how to fill the connection name field..can anyone help me in connecting to the database...By the way I'm using Oracle 11g. Thankssssss

you could try to change the connection type to TNS and pick the database name available to you in the Network Alias drop-down list.

OAM Identity Asserter Provider Error:Unable to create the AccessGate entry

I have installed Oracle Access Manager and trying to protect an application deployed on weblogic application server.
I have added the jar oamAuthnProvider in weblogic server lib mbeantypes and configured an OAM Identity Asserter Provider in myrealm. When I restart the weblogic server, I encounter the following error:

This seems to indication my identity assertion is incorrect. My oam authentication provider is pretty simple.
I am using OPEN transport security so the provider config is pretty simple. I provided an AccessGate pwd, primary and secondary access gate servers and Access Gate name provided by my administrator.
I'm not sure about what the Application Domain field refers to. Can someone provide guidance on that?

Unable to create a connection for Discussion Forums.

I have my WC_Spaces and WC_Colloboration Servers running actively. When I try to create a new connection by right-clicking Connections in Applications Resources and choose Discussion Forums and too I entered the URL and admin fields, I find its unable to create a new connection. The error displayed is : "Failed to verify connection". Please help me with this.

In your webcenter application you have created the discussion forum connection and you have connections.xml file in your application.Open the connections.xml in jdeveloper and check the discussion forum connection entry.

Change the required entries with your values(for serveraddress,port and admin user).
One more thing need to consider that is -
in jdeveloper proxy ,add the server address in exception list and restart the jdeveloper.
Sometimes it will show you up as "failed to verify the connection". But it will work atleast functionality-wise it will work.
Apart from this,I have a query on "Have you used any VPN connection to connect collaboration server to create forum connection?"

All CX traffic dropped on data plane with error message 'Unable to create policy params (policy-params-failed)

Problems with CX dropping all traffic - error message: Unable to create policy params (policy-params-failed) seen when issuing cli cmd show opdata framedrop on CX.
Data hits ASA Service Policy and is redirected to CX, but no traffic is passed (user experience is timeout in browser).
Problem started after SW upgrade - present running versions:
ASA version: 9.1.5(21)
CX version: 9.3.3.1 (13)
Have tried to disable all policies and create a 'permit any any' policy, which at present is the only activve policy - still same problem.
Any suggestions?

If i am using 11G andrtp is 11g but on rtp side if they configure SSL, is it mandatory to do it from our side also?No it not mandatory to enable SSL at your end however you have to configure identity and trsut at your end.

So few things which I see as a problem are-
1. You should use URL https://hostname:soa_server_ssl_port/b2b/httpReceiver instead of https://dev-nog.server:443/b2b/transportServlet
2. SOA server SSL port should be enabled (SSL should be enabled on SOA server)
3. You should configure wallet at 10g side to contain trust cert of 11g server

I am new to java programming. I am trying to invoke native application using JVM. I have a written a pilot code in C using JNI. I am getting the following error when I try to run the binary. I think that the problem is from the fact that 1.2.2 is installed in
/usr/bin directory (and is the default on the server). But I have set both

I haven't seen this before. Could it be a disk space issue?
Are you using JDevStudio or JDevStudioBase? And do you have your JAVA_HOME set? If you are using JDevStudio, try running JDev in a command window where JAVA_HOME is not set - I'm pretty sure JDev does NOT get confused about this but I haven't done extensive testing.
Also you should try deleting and unzipping JDev again.
Finally, search the JDev TP forum - there are some discussions there about this error and you may find an answer to your specific configuration - it doesn't seem to be a TP4 specific issue.

The files are all there after installation, without the temporary names. So it doesn't seem to be a big problem...

I don't have the bug number handy but I'm quite certain this was
resolved in one of the post-s10_69 builds. Please download the
official Solaris 10 initial release and by all means, let us know if you
continue to see this issue during zone installation.

Unable to create JVM when starting oramdw or wtgpack or msql

I´ve installed Mobile Server 11g on WebLogic 11gR1 under Windows 7. JRE/JDK version used is 1.6.0.29. JAVA_HOME is set. But when trying to run msql or oramdw I´m getting an error:
C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\Mobile\Sdk\bin>oramdw
Unable to create JVM. You need jre/jdk 1.3.1 or higher
Any ideas what´s wrong?

Hi Karin,
I note that you are using Windows 7, is this 64 Bit ? If so I presume that you are using a 64 Bit version of the JRE/JDK
Please try installing a 32 Bit JRE and making sure that is on the path before the 64 Bit version

RACF - create alias

Hi,
In oim10g setup when I try to provision user to RACF on success of create user task I am calling another process task which defines alias for the user.
But alias creation is failing with exception :

error says Invalid parent base dn ou=Alias,dc=racf,dc=com. any troubleshooting steps for ldap schema?
