Unable to create follow-up document in Portal

Hi,
We are using NetWeaver Portal 7.0 and it is at the latest SP(SP10).
When we are trying to create a follow-up document for an opportunity all the fields are getting grayed out and we are unable to create any follow-up document.But from GUI we are able to create it successfully.
Also we are unable to create any sub-opportunity for the existing opportunity
Both the above were possible when the portal was on lower SP(SP8)
Does this issue have anything to do with the SP upgrade or could there be any other reason.
Any inputs on the above issue would be of great help.

Hi Chen,
The problem the you are facing mostly occurs due to incorrect assignment of roles. The user id that is used in the EP needs to be present in the CRM backend system as well. The CRM Backend user has to be assigned to the corresponding single role.
Portal user needs to be assigned to a Portal Role.
Kindly have a look at the following document which will give more
information on the role configuration.

    We are on SRM Server 550 SPS: SAPKIBKT05
    Once I click 'propose source of supply', it takes me to the next screen showing the proposed SOS's in a subscreen.
    Below this, is another subsreen with three tabs. Currently I do not see anything here? No items.
    Any idea what problem could it be? Do I need to activate BW report templates? Or is there something else??

    BW reports don't cause it. They will be used for reporting vendor evaluation etc.
    There are few things to make SOS to work:
    - material and services must exists in COMMPR01
    - in COMMPR01 Conditions tab must be filled with proper values eg.
      - Ctyp = 01PV
      - Vendor = 332 (Business Partner number)
      - Ammount = 34,00
      - Currency = EUR
      - Valid from = 25.10.2006
      - Valid to = 31.12.9999
    - in COMMPR01 Relationships->Vendor tab:
      - Business Partner = 332
    Save document.
    These values will be show in SOS. In Overview of Sources of Supply will be vendor no 332.
    Please check if Your IPC is work correctly in SPRO->SRM->SRM Server->Cross-Application Basic Settings->Pricing->Check Technical and Customizing Settings for Conditions
    Please look at SAP note 881265, 778253 too.

    Unable to created users through UME on portal with AS ABAP as its data source.
    I have assigned SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION to the user SAPJSF but this only helps in editing the already existing users but not in creating new users on portal.
    I have checked that that the role SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION is properly generated and has *  in all authorizations. I have even assigned SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW to SAPJSF and another ID.
    DO we need to make any config changes to make the database writable from portal. Please advise.

    If your system is a AS ABAP + +JAVA System,, you have to do the following
    1. Login to Client 001 using SAP GUI
    2. Create a user id
    3. Login to portal and you will be able to see the user.
    4.Assign him the portal rights
    If you want the portal to use seperate Database for USers, there is a setting in Visual admin, that you can change for the same, but i dont remember that

    I am running mozilla firefoz 5.0 and the only option that is coming to me is to create folder in CA.
    even though SAP recommands IE and allows portal from Mozilla, the later seems to have serious issues with Portal.
    I remember working with several versions of mozilla, sometimes you right click, all option will come but you will be unable to choose options coz when u bring cursor to them they will skid here and there..
    I hope no SAP note elobrates this as of now.

    Given that the file is selected then the next possibility is that you're exporting two files with the same name. When you do this the export breaks down as the second file would overwrite the first. Check the filenames.

  • Newly created follow-up document is inactive

    Hi Forum,
    I have just  created  a follow-up document for my service order and created a target transaction as another serv order document  through copy control.
    The target Service order is showing in the create follow up documents in the main menu, but it is inactive, rest other follow up documents for the source service order transaction are active.
    Please help me by letting me know how to make this follow up document active.
    Another workaround that i have checked in SAP help is that we have made this in the same organisation unit.

    Have you maintained all the copy control settings like
    1. copy control for transaction types
    2. copy control for item categories
    3. copy control for target transaction and item categories
    Also check whether the permitted channels is not maintained for the target transaction.

  • Problem in creating follow-on document (RFQ) for a bid invitation.

    Hi Experts,
    We have an issue while creating follow-on document(RFQ) for a bid invitation.
    Process is as follows :
    We have a bid invitation and sent it to two vendors. After this, created two responses one is accepted and another one is rejected.
    Now the accepted bid is ready to "Create follow-on Document(RFQ)". But when we do this, the bid with rejected vendor also including in the follow-on document. This should not be the case.
    The follow-on document should include only the accepted bid, but not the rejected bid.
    Could anyone tell me how to achieve this ?

    As far as I understand, what you described is the standard behavior. ALL undeleted vendors are copied over to the follow-on RFQ regardless if their bids have been rejected or not. What you can do is to implement BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI for BUS2200 and explicitly remove the vendors which created rejected bids. Make use of the header field "copy_of_guid" to identify the originated RFQ.

    You need to maintain blueprint table entries for the Back End CRM roles that you have created. Goto Transaction CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C navigate to Navigation(URL generation) "Assign object Method to Role" .
    Add a new entry for your custom role if you have assigned the custom role in portal to the Enterprise Profile and under object type select the type of object you are trying to create followup(Example Opportunity,Order) , Method type is "Application" and Implementation Type : S - BSP as external Service and in ID Page/Service give the PCD location of the Portal Role that you are using.

    Hi Ark,
    you can copy the BAdI implementation COPY_DOCUMENT. In action customizing assign your copied implementation (don't forget to activate it) in the processing details of you action. There you will also find a button for maintaining processing parameters. Add one parameter for the transaction type and one for your channel type and set the values for them.
    In the BAdI implementation add the following parameter:
    data: lv_new_header type crmt_object_guid.
    copy document
      CALL METHOD lc_action_execute->copy_document
        EXPORTING
          io_appl_object     = io_appl_object
          ip_application_log = ip_application_log
          ip_action          = ip_action
          ip_preview         = ip_preview
          ii_container       = ii_container
          iv_actiontext      = lv_actiontext
        IMPORTING
          EV_NEW_HEADER_GUID = lv_new_header   <==========
          rp_status          = rp_status.
    Now you have the GUID of the copied document. The table lt_container contains your channel type. Read it out of the internal table and then call the function module crm_order_maintain in order to set the channel type.
    Hope you are a bit familiar with crm programming, otherwise this might become sligthly complicated.

    i  Define Objects in Backend System (Purch. Reqs, Reservations, Purch. Orders)
    when my manger approve Sc i havent any follow on doc in my back-end and i have this error in RZ20 :Shopping cart 0010000376: Error creating the follow-on document
    but when is  using FM : BBP_PD_SC_TRANSFER the reservation created (for which material that define on  Objects in Backend System (Purch. Reqs, Reservations, Purch. Orders as created reserve)
    but i cant create PO or PR

    We were using extened classic for some time in test system and now deactivated extended classic and want to work with classic scenario. However when i create shopping cart for the material it is not creating any follow-on documents like reservation or purchase requisition or PO.

    I am able to create Reservation and/or Purchase Requisition for the shopping cart after maintaining the backend system for product category, but when i am creating shopping cart which should create PO, i am getiing error and status of shopping cart is "Error in Process".

  • Error in creating follow-on documents after shopping cart is approved

    After the shopping cart has  been approved by the concerned approver and the when the staus is checked in the check status application , it shows 1 error in process i.e. no follow-on document is created in doing so.

      Thanks for the reply. I have made all the settings , but I am getting an error in the check status application for the shopping cart that has been approved.
    Well first instead of getting into the PO that are created in the backend system, let us consider the documents that are to be created as a result of categories that are local. I have maintained a range for local PO's.
    I need to know whether any extra procedure needs to be carried out so that PO be created i.e I am not using the sourcing application as of yet and presume that the
    POs are created (i.e. the follow-on documents are created on it's own,) .
      I have my own local purchasing group for an organisation. It there are any setting please let me
    know. PLease note that I am getting the same error as for ones while shooping cart that involve backend systems.

  • Backend contract without Mat no. unable to create Follow on doc in frm SRM

    Hi SRM gurus,
    We are in SRM 5.0 release using classic scenario. We have created contract in backend SAP but does not contain a material number (MATNR), only short text/description (TXZ01
    ). This contract is uploaded to CCM successfully and SRM requestors are able to shop the item via catalog ID. However, upon SRM approval of the shopping cart, the status is "approved" but no Follow on document is created in backend. During test, we have activated the tracing BAPI_PO_CREATE1 but it seems that workitem does not go through the FM.
    We have also noticed that in COMMPR01, since no MATNR exist from backend, the short text does not replicated.
    Can you pls advise how can we create a Follow on document if shopping cart has been raised from a Catalog but only containing short text description. PRODUCT ID does not available.

    Hi Madelyn,
    Its difficult to tell the exact reason why the shopping cart has not created any follow on document in the back end.
    Please look at the following for resolving this issue :
    1. In SPRO > IMG > SRM > SRM Server > Cross Application basic settings > Define objects in the backend system
    Check whether this setting is properly defined or not.
    2. Check in SLG1 & RZ20 (Application monitor) for any errors to get a clear picture.
    3. Try to create a SC w/o referringa contract and check whether it creates any follow on document in the back end or not.
    Also try creating a SC by referring the same contract but not through CCM.
    Since there is no material obviously you don't find anything in COMMPR01. Check in COMM_HIERARCHY whether the product category for which the contract was created is shown under the R3MATCLASS (Material Groups)
    Hope this will make you more clear and helps in resolving the issue.
