Unable to create Policy packages - missing snapin
Product: Novell Small Business Suite 6 SP5 installed, ZFD sp3 installed.
When attempting to create policy packages I get the following message:
"There is not a snap-in to create this type of object. If you proceed and
use the generic object creator, the resultin object may not be useable."
This happens with Console One on the workstation as well as on the server.
Can anyone help? Any suggestions how to resolve this will be greatly
appreciated.

Problems with CX dropping all traffic - error message: Unable to create policy params (policy-params-failed) seen when issuing cli cmd show opdata framedrop on CX.
Data hits ASA Service Policy and is redirected to CX, but no traffic is passed (user experience is timeout in browser).
Problem started after SW upgrade - present running versions:

Have tried to disable all policies and create a 'permit any any' policy, which at present is the only activve policy - still same problem.

So few things which I see as a problem are-
1. You should use URL https://hostname:soa_server_ssl_port/b2b/httpReceiver instead of https://dev-nog.server:443/b2b/transportServlet
2. SOA server SSL port should be enabled (SSL should be enabled on SOA server)
3. You should configure wallet at 10g side to contain trust cert of 11g server

I have a problem.
I'm in the following scenario: SAP CRM Mobile 7.0 SP04.
I'm in the production environment and we are trying to create the fisrt package (mup).
I have imported the custom units from Quality and we are using the same .rbn used in quality (these steps are the same we performed from Development to Quality).
The consistency chack is ok.
When we click on "CreatePackage" a popup message appears:
- "The upgrade could not be sent"
- "The upgrade version number field has been locked. This happens either if another user is attempting to send upgrades from the same repository, or if there was a system/tool crash during a previous attempt to send the upgrade"
- "If you are sure that no other user has locked the repository, then run the following script on the table <ARS_SYSTABLE> of the ARS repository : Update ars_systable set value = 'NO' where param = 'UpgradeVersionLocked'"
I've executed the suggested query. Then I have tried again to create the package, but with the first click on the creation button nothing seems to happen (but checking on the ars_systable the value is set to 'YES' for the 'UpgradeVersionLocked' parameter)and with the second click on the button the same popup error message appears.
It seems that there sometihng else locked, but I m not able to understand what.
Can you please help us?
I'm not able to create package in production and the go-live is very imminent.

Clicking on 'Create Package' button twice causes the LOCK scenario wherein UgradeConsole senses that while creating the package for the first time if another click on 'Create Package' is carried out - it should lock the upgrade version. This generally happens when 2 users try to create the package on the same DB at the same time.
Are you able to see a 'creating package..' form when you create the package for first time? If yes, then I'd suggest you to wait and let it finish because for an upgrade consisting of multiple units(which in turn has several files and folders) , it takes time to create the package.
Can you please also confirm if the version of sapcar.exe present in %mobilerootdir%\Bin.Net is 7000.24.11.59276?

Unable to create Policy Definitions in CM 4.1.1c
I'm trying to create a Policy Definition and assign it to an Application I created, but I when I click Submit an error pops up stating:
Transaction not completed. Policy entry cannot be updated as there is no policy entry of type Other. Please create a policy of type Other or update the type of this policy to Other.
I want this Policy to be type Basic, not Other, and there is a type Other - which I'm not choosing. So why is this error popping up? I first tried this using version 4.1.1d, but it failed so I downgraded to 4.1.1c and it still fails.
I've attached a Word document with a few screen shots showing the error, and the fact that there is a type Other, even though I don't want to use it.
Am I doing this wrong or have I stumbled on a bug?Hello,

Unable to create PDF conversion file
I'm trying to convert to PDF a PPT presentation with my Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro which I already installed some years back. I never had any problems with it just of late. It stopped being able to convert and so I uninstalled the program and installed it again. Tried to use it but I keep getting this Error Message: Unable to create file. Missing PDF maker files. Would you like to repair the program (or something to that effect)? I click YES, and go through the same long process but then again, it doesn't convert. This makes it so frustrating. I only installed the program on one computer. What should I do?

Run it, reinstall. Could still not work, though. Could simply be a security update in Acrobat or Windows/ Office that prevents this from working.

I am getting the following error when attempting to deliver my iBooks Author book package via iTunes Producer: "
Unable to authenticate the package: B_SPACE_NUTRITION.itmsp
ERROR ITMS-9000: "OPS/ibooks.ncx(5): element "content" not allowed yet; missing required element "navLabel"" at Book (MZItmspBookPackage)"
I understand that there's something wrong with the TOC file (.ncx), but I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. Every section of the TOC is labeled, so not sure why the navLabel issue is happenening.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thank you.Similar issues looks like. Are you using a template other than those in iBooks Author? That's what I did, and that was definitely part of the issue.
After digging through .ibooks code for hours and still not seeing the problem, I decided to reach out to one of the Apple epub conversion affiliates in iTunes Connect. They said they could repair the file without a problem, started working on it, only to come back a week later and say they couldn't work on .ibooks or .iba files yet.
So, in complete frustration, I decided to transfer my content page by page from the blank template I downloaded from a vendor online to one of the "textbook" templates in IBA. This was a long process as I had to unlock and clear out the formatting of the template. But, once that was done and content was transferred over, all was good. I submitted/delivered the same content and preview book within the new template and it went right through the first time (all metadata was exactly the same as well).
Now, the iBookstore approval waiting process begins!

Unable to create package shares on distribution points
For any OSD packages in our environment (like images, driver packages, etc) I always check the option "Copy the content in this package to a package share on distribution points", so that we are able to run content directly from the DP's in a task
sequence instead of downloading it first to clients. But I've noticed now that for any new package I create, the package shares aren't being created thus my OSD tasks are failing due to missing content. When I check the copy content option for a new driver
package and monitor the distmgr.log, here is what I see:

That same sequence of errors is repeated for every distribution point we have. I checked the sharing permissions on the SMSPGKE$ and SMSSIG$ folders on the DP and everything looks correct. I only started noticing this issue after our SP1 upgrade, but I can't
find anything from Microsoft saying this is a known bug or how to fix it. This is also affecting new distribution points that we created after the SP1 upgrade, so I don't believe going down the remove/reinstall of all the DP's route will work. I've seen similar errors after installing SP1:
Failed to set share security on share \\DP.domain.tld\SMSSIG$. Error = 5
Failed to set access security on share SMSSIG$ on server DP.domain.tld
DPConnection::Disconnect: Revert to self
Cannot find or create the signature share.
Solution for that case: Use the computer account instead of a site system installation account:

Missing/Hidden fonts after creating a package
Hello,
Our graphics department connects to a Lion server with Font Explorer so all the fonts are centrally located. When creating a package in indesign they can see the selected fonts but after the package has been created the fonts that are on the server are missing/hidden in the package and the fonts that remain are ones that are installed locally on the iMac's. Any idea what would be causing this?Hey sdumire - thanks for posting here. My colleague and I ran into this exact same bug with FontExplorer only today, and you've saved us a lot of time troubleshooting.
The following is the temporary solution we're using until Linotype actually resolves it:
1. Create a folder on the desktop called Packaged
2. Create a shell script called UnhidePackagedFonts.sh with the following contents:

# This script 'unhides' packaged fonts hidden by Linotype FontExplorer Pro
chflags -R nohidden ~/Desktop/Packaged/
3. Drop this shell script into the local script folder for an affected Studio operator - ie ~/Library/Scripts
4. Launch Automator, create a new Folder Action called UnhidePackagedFonts and set the Folder Action receives files and folders option to the Packages folder you created on the desktop in Step 1.
5. Add a Run Shell Script step per the Automator screenshot below, entering the path to the shell script you created in Step 2:
6. Save the Folder Action, and quit Automator.
Now when the studio operator packages a job, she can just export it to the Packages folder you created on the desktop. The previously hidden fonts will automatically 'appear' after a few seconds.
Whilst this workaround does involve a few (very, very easy) steps, it has the advantage of not requiring the operator to manually drop the package onto a script after each package export from InDesign. -
I am trying to configure an authentication provider with ant using the wlconfig task. This has been working fine until recently and I have no idea what could be wrong. The ant script has not changed and I'm not sure what information to post to be more useful. Hopefully someone has had this problem or can point me in the right direction.
Below is the target I'm trying to run. I fails with the following exception. I am able to configure the provider manually through the console, however, but this is not an option for our deployments:

LSMW using IDOC is similar to using flat file method. Here you are getting data from IDOC container and mapping data with Idoc segments insted of flatfile column.

I am unable to create picking rule in N->Inv->Setup->Rules->Picking using this navigation.
I have created rule and selected required parameters in the screen, click on save, getting message as "1 transaction completed, saved", If i query same name in Inventory picking rule form, unable to locate the same.
Please let me know where I miss the setups, profile option for seeing created picking rules.

Unable to Load Database/Unable to create database.
RoboHelp 6.0 on my PC is suddenly unable to open existing
projects or create new ones. The problem is not in the projects, as
other people can unzip the same set of files and open them with
RoboHelp on their PCs.
The Details:
When attempting to open an existing project (any project
whether in version control or not), I get the message " Open
project was cancelled or the application was unable to load
database for..."
I found the article that says to delete the CPD and XPJ files
and then to use the Edit option to open the HHP file so that
RoboHelp will recreate the two files. When I try that, I get the
message "Unable to create database. Check that the directory is not
read-only." It's
not read-only.
When I attempt to create a new project, the application acts
like it is going to create one, but it just creates a project
folder without the new first topic and then repeats the New Project
Wizard window that prompts for title, etc. It will keep creating
folders and returning to this window in a loop without ever really
creating a project.
RoboSource Control is functioning normally, by the way.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled RH 6 several times, and
have even uninstalled RH 6 and installed to RH 5 just to see if it
could open projects, which it does with no problems. After that
test, I uninstalled RH 5 and reinstalled RH 6, only to encounter
the same problem all over again.
This started happening after I uninstalled other unrelated
software and received a message that some Service Pack 2 files had
been changed and prompting me to insert the Service Pack 2 CD,
which I don't have. This is because our IT department pre-builds
our systems from an image and then distributes job-specific
applications over the network. IT tried repairing Service Pack 2,
but that didn't work. I'd like to uninstall and reinstall Service
Pack 2, but the IT person says it's too risky on a system that was
built from an image.
We would like to find out
which files RoboHelp is looking for when it launches a
project so we can replace those files manually. Does anyone
know what they are or have another suggestion that might fix the
problem?
Otherwise, I am stuck having to allow IT to rebuild my
system. That means reinstalling and reconfiguring everything on it,
just as if I were upgrading to a new PC. This can take a whole work
week. However, I have already spent close to a work week on this
problem, so maybe rebuilding would save time in the long

For anyone who might be interested in the resolution to this
issue, we did rebuild my PC and reinstall all of my software. The
RoboHelp installation "complained" that I did not have HTML Help
Workshop on my system and told me to download version 1.4 from
Microsoft. I did have HTML Help Workshop..it's in my programs list.
(It's not listed in programs on my co-workers' PCs, and they were
not having problems, by the way.) But to make RH happy, I
uninstalled the workshop and tried to install the version from
Microsoft. But a message informed me that I already had a newer
version of the workshop on my system, and I was back where I
started. I could open projects, but there were weird problems.
Selecting Topic Properties was met with an error message, and when
the properties window opened, I could only see whatever template
was assigned (or none if the topic had lost its template), and
there was an extra section for Oracle help.
So I started dinking around in the registry to see if I could
get rid of any traces of the workshop so I could install the
version RH wanted or to find any other clues to my problem. Under
HTMLHelpAuthor, there was a reference to an HHA.dll file located in
C:\WINDOWS\system32...only the file did not exist on my system.
(Remember that my original problem was that some Service Pack 2
files were either modified or missing.) So I did a Google search on
that file name and found out that HTML Help Workshop is included in
newer Windows operating systems, but that people used to have to
get HTML Help Workshop from Microsoft, and that some people had
made the mistake of just putting the HHA.dll file into the
C:WINDOWS\system32 folder without also installing HTML Help
Workshop. At this point it was obvious that I needed the HHA.dll,
so I got it from a co-worker's PC. (Looking at the registry
entries, I can also see that my system was built with a slightly
different version of the operating system than my co-workers have.)
Adding the HHA file to my system solved the problem. All
projects but one were fine; one was still exhibiting the strange
behavior. I fixed it by going back to the RoboHelp 5 version of the
project and re-converting it to RoboHelp 6.
I suspect that if I had known about the HHA.dll file before
we rebuilt the PC, I could have solved the problem without going
through that painful process. That is why I thought I should post
the solution even though it was after the rebuild. -
Unable to create cluster, hangs on forming cluster
Hi all,
I am trying to create a 2 node cluster on two x64 Windows Server 2008 Enterprise edition servers. I am running the setup from the failover cluster MMC and it seems to run ok right up to the point where the snap-in says creating cluster. Then it seems to hang on "forming cluster" and a message pops up saying "The operation is taking longer than expected". A counter comes up and when it hits 2 minutes the wizard cancels and another message comes up "Unable to sucessfully cleanup".
The validation runs successfully before I start trying to create the cluster. The hardware involved is a HP EVA 6000, two Dell 2950's
I have included the report generated by the create cluster wizard below and the error from the event log on one of the machines (the error is the same on both machines).
Is there anything I can do to give me a better indication of what is happening, so I can resolve this issue or does anyone have any suggestions for me?

I have also since tried creating the cluster with the firewall and no success.
I have tried creating the node from the other cluster and this did not work either
I tried creating a cluster with just a single node and this did create a cluster. I could not join the other node and the network name resource did not come online either. The below is from the event logs.

I am 100% unable to create a Virtual Windows server 2012 failover cluster using two virtual fiber channel adapters to connect to the shared storage.
I've tried using GUI and powershell, I've tried adding all available storage, or not adding it, I've tried renaming the server and changing all the IP addresses....
To reproduce:
1. Create two identical Server 2012 virtual machines
(My Config: 4 CPU's, 4gb-8gb dynamic memory, 40gb HDD, two network cards (one for private, one for mgmt), two fiber cards to connect one to each vsan.)
2. Update both VM's to current windows updates
3. Add Failover Clustering role, Reboot, and try to create cluster.
Cluster passed all validation tests perfectly, but then it gets to "forming cluster" and times out =/
Any assistance would be greatly appreciate. -
Unable to create Disc Image from DVD
I get the following error when trying to make a copy of a family wedding DVD. I'm using Disc Utility and creating the image as a DVD/CD master (.cdr) file. It gets to about 3/4 of the way and then gives the following error.
The internal drive is a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-K05
Sep 10 22:13:24: Disk Utility started.
Creating Image “Wedding of xxx & xxx.cdr”
Reading VOLUME_IDENTIFIER (Apple_UDF : 0)...
Unable to create “Wedding of Sarah & Federico.cdr” - Input/output error.
I've tried twice now and the same error. Looks like I might have to use Toast/Popcorn etc?

iMac G5 2.1GHz 1Gb RAM 260Gb HDD Mac OS X (10.4.7)I do not know what that error means. However, if you open up the Disk Utility & go into it's Help Menu & in the search field type duplicating a CD or DVD. There you will find detailed instructions on how to create a disc image from a DVD.
Good possibility your answer may be found there and/or there may have been something you missed in creating a disc image.
