Unable to create workforce/capex Plan
All Experts,
We are unable to create Workforce plan. We have followed all the steps in guide, but still we are not able to deploy any plan which is valid for Plan type 'Workforce'.
We would appreciate, if anyone of you can indicate some specific pointer or steps which possibly are not clearly spellout in the documentation. As documentation mentioned that once you initialize the workforce all the necessary forms, rules, dimensions etc are made available. We can see the dimensions/default members, but to access the forms/rules, we need a plan in place which is not happenning.

Dear friend,
Check what is the status of test cases in solar02.
When you upload scripts the status is draft or in process.
You should upload them as Released.
Check the status of document in the Test plan attributes which you are generating ....normally it is released.
so if you document status as released it wont be visible...just change the document status to rleaseed in solar02 then goto stwb_2 and regenerate it ........this wil work....

I am not able to create a new planning application in the existing environment.
In the last week i created a new application to migrate from prod to dev and it was successfull but it was failing to now for creating new app.
When i checked the database connection and the essbase connection both are fine.

Rajcheck the logs clearly, i think schema/user doesn't have admin rights. please check with DBA team and try creating again.
If you have DB admin access, you can create new schema/user and provide Full admin privilizes to the user (even you can ask your DBA team), then create DSN & validate, then try creating new application (make sure you are giving all correct info while creating app), it should work.....if still giving any error, please let us know what's the error in front end & at the same time check the logs.....
with time stamp you tried to create application, logs will be there, check clearly you will definitly find the cause & issue. -
Unable to create application in Planning 9.3.1 - JDBC error

You are right. I have not installed the Hyperion PLanning as a service.
The steps that I have done in the configuration Utility as as follows
Configured the
1. Product Options
2. Register with Shared services
3. Configured the Data source for Planning
4. Deployment of PLanning server - (not as service but manual startup)
5. Registered the Product Instance
6. COnfigured the Datasource (SQL and Essbase)
I reconfigured the Data source (point 6) even using the IP address instead of name for SQL server but the error still perisists.

Unable to create a production plan and schedule on SAP B1

I've been trying to figure out how to use SAP B1 to give me a production plan and schedule for quite some time now.... I have no problem in accessing my pending orders. There seems to be no option in my production tab to enter resource information! Would be great if you could possibly tell me how to figure this out.Hi,
Without capturing the actual time of production orders, it is not possible to perform scheduling. You may create planned production order by based on theoretical time.
Only third party add-on fulfill your requirement.

Check that essbase is running, your user is an administrator, missing UDL ... Also, if oracle you will need to edit your hspjshome.properties file to change "localhost" for the oracle entry to be the server name.Hope this helps.

Unable to create a User in Planning (Very Urgent)

I am Using Planning 4.0 version. When I am trying to create a user from Planning Web it is throwing me the below Error:
User Name is Invalid: test
I tried giving different usernames but no luck.
Is this a bug??? Are there any log files which I can look at for more information.

This user is available in Active directory and can access production database. But I am unable to create the same user in developement environment. Even I tried to create couple of users who are in the Actice directory. I am unable to create any users.

Urgent Unable to create the Instance and reconfiguration of planning

we are using hyperion 9.3.1 for planning. Long time back we did installation and had some applications on different planning instance.
Now we need to create a new application then we are trying to create the application but we are unable to create becasue instanse is not there, so we are planninng to create a instance by using configuration utility.
while we are doing configuration at the first step i am unable to fine the product panel Planning is not available.
Can any one have the answer??

Planning application deployment error (unable to create schema)
Hi,
I was trying to deploy a planning application and got stuck at the deployment step (the validation wen't through fine). During deployment the job aborts giving the following error : Unable to create Scehma for application. Exiting Application Creation.
Can anyone suggest what could be the issue here. Appreciate the help.

I reconfigured the Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.
Then I Log-In to Workspace using [http://localhost:19000/workspace/index.jsp] the URL
After page load, I get an error as
"The startup document specified does not exist in the repository. Select a new startup document on the General preferences tab."
Then I click ok to proceed.
After that i get an error as
"An error occurred processing the result from the server".
Then I click ok to proceed.
"Could not find a Hyperion Reporting and Analysis server running on localhost at port 6800. Please verify your server connect string and confirm that the server is up."
Then I click ok to proceed.
After that I'm Unable to create Planning Application.
But how to rectify all the errors mentioned above.
Kindly guide me.

I'm able to create a planning application.Thanks John.

Unable to create Database for new planning Application
Hi all,
I have Created a New planning application on Planning 11.1.1.3 using workspace.
When i'm trying to create a database through administration -> Manage Database , im getting error saying
com.hyperion.planning.planning.HspCubeRefreshInProgressException: Cannot complete your request because the database is being refreshed.
I tried Unlocking the application, using HspUnlockApp.cmd and it is returning a error, and im also unable find the HSP_LOCK Table
Please let me know ur suggestions

There is definitely a table called HSP_LOCK in the planning applications repository, are you sure you are looking in the correct place.
Anyway there is also a utility (HspUnlockApp) in the \planning\bin directory that should unlock the app and will save you having to mess around with any tables, more details :- http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/hp_admin/ch04s02.html

Unable to connect to essbase via EAS & unable to create Planning Applicatio
we have 2 servers in our environment
Linux - Essbase Server
Windows - Planning, Reporting, EAS, Essbase client, workspace etc
when im trying to connect to essbase via EAS, i could not open the page.
Im also unable to create the Planning application.
We have installed essbase server on Linux Server and Essbase client and EAS on windows server and have configured these to a oracle 10g server.
Please give me your suggestions.

I have been unable to create planning app.
I created the datasource successfully in workspace.
Then when I try to create the app (so that I can dump the files from different environment), I get the message... APPLICATION ALREADY EXISTS IN ESSBASE.
I have tried to delete the application in Essbase and again when I try to create it, it again gives the same message. Do I need to do anything to avoid it.

Finally, the environment is up and running.
I have some planning apps and some essbase apps. I have already copied the essbase apps and loaded data, and Agged them.
Now I am trying to work with the planning applications.
I created the datasource.
and now I am trying to create the planing apps so that i could dump or do LCM to migrate, however, when I try to create the apps, it gives me the error message saying that the apps already exist in essbase.
One thing I need to tell you is that the server had essbase apps before. However, we uninstalled EPM cleared everything out and then installed brand new EPM on it.

Unable to create the planning database
Hi,Iam using planning 3.5 and essbase 6.5.I ran the HAL job and created the database at the planning side.But when i try to create the same planning database on essbase by using the Planning full client,iam getting the error stating "Error Detected" on a small "Manage Database" pop-up window.Am i missing anything?or am i doing anything wrong.I would really appreciate your help.TIA..

Problems with CX dropping all traffic - error message: Unable to create policy params (policy-params-failed) seen when issuing cli cmd show opdata framedrop on CX.
Data hits ASA Service Policy and is redirected to CX, but no traffic is passed (user experience is timeout in browser).
Problem started after SW upgrade - present running versions:
ASA version: 9.1.5(21)
CX version: 9.3.3.1 (13)
Have tried to disable all policies and create a 'permit any any' policy, which at present is the only activve policy - still same problem.
Any suggestions?If i am using 11G andrtp is 11g but on rtp side if they configure SSL, is it mandatory to do it from our side also?No it not mandatory to enable SSL at your end however you have to configure identity and trsut at your end.

So few things which I see as a problem are-
1. You should use URL https://hostname:soa_server_ssl_port/b2b/httpReceiver instead of https://dev-nog.server:443/b2b/transportServlet
2. SOA server SSL port should be enabled (SSL should be enabled on SOA server)
3. You should configure wallet at 10g side to contain trust cert of 11g server

I guess you could create a model, but no planning version?
If so: create the planning version with the transaction /SAPAPO/VERCREATE and not with /SAPAPO/MVM (after having created a model). I don't know the reason, but I also could only create a planning version with the VERCREATE transaction.
