Unable to deactivate and activate acrobat 8

i had a licensed acrobat 8 running on my old pc. It is also registered with adobe. I deactivated it. I downloaded and installed acrobat 8 on the new machine. It did not accept the serial number. So, I installed the trail version. After installation was complete, I tried to activate the full version using the deactivated serial number. I keep getting the error message "Invalid Serial Number."

I was unable to deactivate my latest installation of Creative Suite because my hard drive crashed. Now, with a new hard drive, I am unable to activate my copy of the product because I have reached the activation limit.
I need help with deactivating the copy which was on the spoilt hard drive.
I have tried many times and failed to contact Adobe via live chat, because I am never able to get through with an available agent. Also, I cannot seem to find any Adobe Customer Care email address, or any number to call (I live in Singapore), or any other portal by which I can reach Adobe.
I have had this dragging for weeks and I am getting quite impatient about this matter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to deactivate and activate cc + older photoshop?

I'm about to buy a new laptop. Will copy my hard drive to external drive. Then wipe drive on old laptop, install newest apple system and give to my wife. I've never had to do this before so any advice, help with all this is appreciated.
Please correct me if I'm wrong here. I'm thinking to deactivate CC. I have the photoshop/lightroom package. But there doesn't seem to be a deactivate in Photoshop. Is signing out of CC and signing back in enough?
I've also got versions CS5 and CS6 on this old laptop. I can deactivate these. I guess I can just activate them if i want when I clone my external drive to the hard drive in the new computer, right? I'll probably just activate CS6. Not install CS5.
These aren't about cc or photoshop, but I've also got CS3 versions of Illustrator and Indesign. I'd also like to deactivate and activate them for the new computer.
Am I thinking right about all this? Just want all this available on my new 'puter. Don't want to screw up access, so I'm asking before I even buy the new computer and start my cloning. Hope to buy the computer next week...

No. Stay away from any cloning/ image backups/ migration assistant. All Adobe apps require a proper reinstall or else you are in all kinds of trouble.

Hi 
You won't really be deactivating any extract structure or datasource because it will stop data transfer. However if you change the structure and do not activate it then it will be in modified version (or deactivate state) for system.

Were you using Acrobat IX standard or pro version? Is Acrobat currently installed on your system?

Difference between DEACTIVATE and ACTIVATE replication Types.

Replication agent can handle Deactivate and delete pages/nodes etc. I am trying to find what the difference between the two if I use the replication agent directly in the java code to deactivate/delete some content. I was under the impression that Deactivate mandates that the path should present on the source/author instance so that replication agent marks that page as deactivated and proceeds with the delete on the destination. And similarly delete deletes the page on the destination with no respect to the state of the page/node on the source. But that does not seem to be the case. If I use the replication agent directly in java code to deactivate the page i dont see the staus changing on the page ( the usual red dot) to indicate deactivate page but on the target the source gets deleted. Also found that any node can be deactivated (which internally deletes)
So, why we have two replication agent types which almost same behavior?
NOTE: I am using 5.4. If you see anything different on 5.5/5.6 let me know.

SOrry, my subject is wrong and thanks for the response. But when I use the replication agent to deactivate the page in a java program ( not via workflow nor from site admin) I dont see this behavior. I mean if I write a java class to use a replication agent and pass it a path (page or node) I see following behavior:
1. Page is NOT marked as deactivated on Author
2. The page/node is deleted on the destination.
What extactly marks page as deactivated on author instance.

How to dynamically deactivate and activate parameters on selection screen?

I need to deactivate/activate a parameter in my selection screen whenever i clicked on a particular radiobutton. I could deactivate the parameter when the screen is first loaded using the following code,
AT SELECTION SCREEN OUTPUT.
LOOP AT SCREEN.
IF SCREEN-NAME = 'P_DATE'.
 SCREEN-INPUT = '0'.
 MODIFY SCREEN.
ENDIF.

But I have problems capturing the event when the user click on the radiobutton, so i could activate the parameter. I did not create any screen.
Is there a way to solve this problem w/o creating a screen. If none, how do I go about it after I have created a screen for selection.

How do I install Acrobat 9 on a new PC after old PC failed? I have the serial numbers for Acrobat 6 Pro and the upgrade to 9 Standard. I think I had a free upgrade from 9 to 10, but I am not sure.

No, sorry. There was an Australian site that had the PSE 6 trial for a while, but that wouldn't help you either, since back then you couldn't enter a serial number into the trial version. If you didn't save your original installation media, I'm afraid you're stuck. Neither Adobe nor ProDesign make PSE 6 available as a download, probably since it would be more trouble for them than it's worth, since hardly anyone bought downloads back then and serial numbers from the disc version won't work in a download for PSE 6 and vice versa, so they'd have dozens of people complaining that there was something wrong.

Please download Acrobat X Pro from the link below.

Install the software and when prompted for the previous version qualifying product, select Acrobat 9 and enter the serial key of Acrobat 9.
This should install and activate Acrobat X Pro on the machine.

CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

How did you install Acrobat, did you install it as a part of Suite installation.
If it is a part of suite then deactivate suite uninstall Acrobat, Reinstall Acrobat using Suite media. Launch Photoshop first and Activate.
Then try launch Acrobat.
