Unable to delete job logs - Error : file is corrupted or unreadable

Hi,
We are running SolMan on Windows 2003 and there are some very old job logs (dated 2009) in "F:\usr\sap\sid\SYS\global\000JOBLG\" which we are unable to remove.
The error is "The file or directory is corrupted or unreadable". Because of this, Data Protector backup always has errors.
I have run "RSBTCDEL2" but these logs were not removed.
Is there a way to remove these stubborn old job logs?

Hi Sisab,
Best is to determine whether you actually have the jobs from 2009 ( completed / Cancelled ones ) in your Solution manager system. If they donot exist in the job tables ( normally can be seen using transaction SM37 and a date range ), just go ahead and delete the joblogs from the OS level from 2009.

If you have a look at hbrlaunch.log it will provide details of the business rules that have been run.
If on 11.1.1.3 and windows the file can be by default in C:\windows\system32
If you do get any errors running the rule then the essbase app log is probably the best to find more information on the error.

This message now appears when I connect my ipod to itunes....

The ipod still works and charges, but it will no longer let me add new files to it. The contents of my ipod are still displayed as usual on itunes, so it obviously is reading it to some degree. It advises me to run a chkdsk utility, but I have no idea how to do this.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

If your iPod is corrupt then you have no choice but to restore it.
Before you do that, you may have some success getting the music off it and onto your hard drive again.

Nokia C3 - unable to delete call log and some mess...

Hi,
I wonder if you can help me, I have tried to delete my call log from my phone however I get an "invalid selection" error message. The logs do not have any time and date next to the names and I am unable to delete.
Also I have tried to delete some of my messages but all that has happened is the messages appear to be blank and I get the error "Error Occurred, Deletion not completed".
I have spoke to phones 4 u who I got my phone through and they have said they will have a look and it may need to go away to be sorted. I have tried a soft and hard reset but this has not worked. I was wondering if there was anything else I could try before I take it in.

I have managed to fix the problem with the messages, I backed up messages and restored them but I am still having issues with my call log.
Can anyone please help, I really dont want to hand my phone over to phones 4 u for 10 days.

Which function module to delete job log?

Hi, I submit report via jobname and jobcount. After I close job and run it, we can see jobname is still in job log by SMX. But client doesn't want to see it, so who can kindly tell me which function module can delete jobname from job log?

try CALL FUNCTION 'BP_JOB_DELETE'
If you have used JOB_OPEN before the SUBMIT to create the job, you can automatically delete the job upon successful completion by setting the parameter DELANFREP = 'X' in the JOB_OPEN function call.. this way the user will only see the logas for cancelled/aborted jobs..

Unable to delete archive log.

Hi,
Our database server's archive log destination is full,but after running
backup archivelog all delete input;
it's taking archive log backup,but not deleting archivelogs.
Could you suggest me what is the reason.

ACS 5.2 - unable to delete remote log target

I have two ACS 5.2 running as primary and secondary instances respectively. When I try to delete a remote log target under

Log Configuration >
Remote Log Targets
I get the following error message...."The item you trying to delete is referenced by other items. You must remove all references to this item before it
can be deleted".
I have searched the configuration within the web gui and was unable to find anything that reference the object that I'm trying to delete. Has anyone
experienced the same thing?

Did you check the logging categories?
For each category check the "Remote syslog Target" tab and see if the log Target you are trying to delete appears in any of the "Selected Targets"

Unable to open eclipse. Error file is created each time it opens hs_err_pid

I just installed helios eclipse. Once i unzipped and opened the eclipse it asks for my workspace. I selected the path and say ok. It open the workspace and says workbench loading and suddenly the eclipse IDE closes and in the main eclipse folder i get a hs_err_pid6040 text file which appears as log.
Below is the content of the logfile. Im just including a part of it. The rest shows process, Other threads, Vm argum,ents, Env variables and my system config info. I dont understand what the error is or how to debug. Please help.

You may want to try a newer version of Java and a newer version of Eclipse. Helios is quite old already.

Unable to delete / Purge Log History

There are some logs in my runbook that are there for the past 6 months and when i try deleting them, the system throws an error "idispatch error #3121 (8004021e31)".
Is there any other way to have it deleted maybe from SQL.

Fpcopara job log - error in smartform

After the job finishes, when I look in joblog I can see the error message no 6323: Error in smartform ....
Any ideas on how to debug the job, because fpcopara is running in background and DBUG seems not to work...

The description of your problem is very sketchy; I'm not quite sure what you experience.
Try removing Adobe Reader using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
then download and run the installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
If that does not help, please provide more information about your problem.

By the way i'm using Oracle 10gR2 patch4 on RHEL 5
and till now the database won't delete the archivelogs automaticaly, since the current available size in the flash folder is only 2MB.

I have a different issue, I am not sure i can combine on the same thread.
From the DOC, this command is appeared to be useful. I am not sure if it can be applied to my environment.
CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO APPLIED ON STANDBY
We have some databases with DG configuration on Sun. We take the backups only primary using RMAN online & archivelog alternate days. But, the archivelogs on standby are to be deleted every day manually (i mean we have a script scheduled for it).
Note: We use "delete input" on primary backup every day after they are backedup by RMAN. Anyway, the logs that are not applied on standby will not be deleted as RMAN is intelligent to keep them safe.
In the past we attempted to delete using rman script with the command shown below.
delete archivelog all completed before 'sysdate-2/24';
This causes a problem every time for us with regard to the primary database Backup as it expects the archivelogs on primay which were deleted by RMAN on standby. We had to crosscheck archivelog all every time to resolve the issue. There seems to be a mismatch of the archlog status both on primary and standby.
Please let me know if the above configuration command "CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY " on both primary and standby or give an idea/steps what way i can use this.

TS1424 I am getting an 8008 error, file is corrupt when I try to DL my Harry Potter part 2 digital purchase to my laptop

Can anyone help? It is DLing on my iphone 4 just fine.
When it gets to 10mb on my Windows 7 laptop it restarts, 3 time and then gives me the error.

The iphone dl got to the very end and started over too, seems like itunes server may be having issues? I have been trying to dl it for 5 days now? Thoughts? If apple has a bad file how often do they check it or fix it?

JPEG marker segment length error - file not corrupt

I have 2 workstations in my suite. Both Win7...both CS5.5 ver. 12.1.x64. My "old" box (Z400) can open the JPEG no problem....My "new" box (Z820) gives me the error.
I have copied the file a few different ways so I know it is not corrupt.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The error is "Could not complete your request because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated to incomplete).
I'll try the preferences resetting.
