hi,
how to delete multiple text messages in nokia c7. for example in c7 there is photo album where is a mark option, once clicking that we can mark the photos and delete it. but in messages there is no such kind option. we need to select each message and select mark option. Is there any way to mark messages.

To 5hownewsday. Have you tried deleting with Delete all prior, and deleting each one by itself. I could not delete some texts also. So I found that deleting each one, one at a time worked for me.

I am unable to delete whole texts from left-swipe. i click delete and they dissappear. But then i can't send or recieve texts. i reboot phone and deleted message reappear, but i am able to continue send/recieving texts.. i've synced, backup, everything. Help! I am doing this beacuse in my space on my phone my doucments and data are taking up 9GB of space, and i don't know why other than in my phone it says messages are taking up 8GB or so. I am running ios 7.0. I have synced my phone with itunes, backed up, reboots after deleting the texts, they never vanish, i have even restored from itunes and restored from a backup that didn't include the texts after i deleted them.
actually better to reset your phone and reinstall the latest firmware again after that restore your back up it should be ok

To select multiple text messages, or emails you have two options ;
Option 1 (Selecting a lot of messages at once using the Shift key)
1. While viewing your emails, or text messages click on a message
2. Holding the Shift key on your computer, click on the last message
3, Messages between the first, and last message you selected should be highlighted allowing you delete them en mass
Option 2 (Selecting specific messages using the Control key)
1. While viewing your emails, or text messages click on a message
2. Hold the Control key (CTRL), and click another message
3. Repeat as needed
4. You can now delete, mark read\unread etc en mass

Cannot send text message on Nokia N81
I have had my Nokia n81 for 2 months and it has worked perfectly, up until yesterday when surprise surprise, i started to get the dreaded "General:Memory full. Close some applications and try again" error like i did with my nokia n70.
I have:
Closed all applications (except for music player obviously)
Deleted ALL text messages
Changed Message memory to MASS MEMORY
Deleted ALL OLD calendar items
checked phone memory has 14Mb/24Mb remaining
Background is set back to plain boring default
No animations run in power saving etc
RAM has 37mb/37mb remaining (checked with FExplorer)
Deleted all UNUSED APPLICATIONS (only ones left are the ones that came with phone)
phone has the LATEST software version.
Basically, everything on the phone is as it should be so why am i getting this error? Is there any way of fixing it without a time consuming phone format?I got the solution you just need to format your phone and it will delete all your files. Just click on *#7370#. It work for me hope this will work for you too and please inform others too.
Save all your contacts and important files first before doing it. It will totally reset your phone. -
I would like to be able to delete individual text messages not a whole conversation. With the iOS 7 update this is no longer possible.

After I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS7 I can no longer see the individual chapters when playing my audio books. Also I can no longer edit a and copy multiple text messages like before. Is there a way to do these things I am missing?
Not only can i not see the individual chaptes -- apparently like you and everyone else suffering through the "improved" iOS7 -- when my audiobook repeats a "file" within chapter, which it sometimes does, I cannot get "inside" the chapter and move forward to where I'm supposed to be.

Printing from the iPhone either requires an AirPrint compatible printer, or an app from the App Store. You would have to search to see if they are free or cost. Also, the printing of text messages would either require you to make a screen shot of the message and to print that as a photo, or you would need a 3rd party software on the computer to copy the entire message to the computer and print from there. There is no native print capability for entire message threads.

Try logging into your Yahoo account from a computer, search out the contact you are trying to delete and manually correct or delete the bad contact.
The bad information might be hidden as a second address or other contact information (or misspelled) and not be showing up on the iphone but will pull up the address anyway.
I had one old address in a contact that kept pulling up each time i tried to email him. The new address was there, but the old address was what the phone kept showing. When I edited the contact info from my computer the old address went away, and the new address started poping up. -

The process of choosing one at a time and then deleting is crazy and very time consuming. Please help.......is there a hidden method or some add on I need?I want to select all with one button and then select delete all with another button.
The iPhone currently cannot do that. The best you can do from the iPhone is Edit, select the emails to delete and then Delete.
Another option is to use webmail (browser) and use that interface to delete mail

The process for deleting multiple messages is detailed in the iPhone User Guide:
Delete, move, or mark multiple messages. While viewing a list of messages, tap Edit. Select some messages, then choose an action. If you make a mistake, shake iPhone immediately to undo.

The only way would be to restore the phone from a backup made by syncing the phone while this message was still on it. Note: this would revert all data and settings to those in the backup, not just messages.

Since last weekend (3-15-15) I have been unable to send/receive text messages with a friend who has Sprint service. The messages send with no errors on either side, but neither side is receiving the messages. It seems to be only this one person affected by this issue, everyone else that I've tried sending messages to has responded with no trouble. Is anyone else having any similar issues?

I deleted a text message by mistake. How do I retrieve and restore the messages?
If you backed up after getting the message and before deleting it you can restore your phone and the message will be back. If not then it is gone forever.
