Unable to Delete Production Orders

Hello all,
I want to change Valuation Class for a material. However, I am unable to do so as there are few Purchase orders for this material still in the system.
I have already set delete flag to these Purchase orders, removed all reservation, and cleared all the stock related to this material.
What else need to be done?
Do I need to archive these Production Orders?
Can you please guide?
Regds.,
Chaitanya

Hi,
You want to change the valuation class. However, this is not possible because one or more of the following already exist for the material:
Valuated Stocks in the current period or in the previous period
Open Purchase Orders or Delivery Schedule Lines
Production Orders for which a goods movement has already taken place
System Response:
What To Do:
If valuated stocks already exist, you can change the valuation class only as follows:
A) Post the stocks of the material to an interim account.
B) Change the valuation class in the material master record.
C)Post the stocks of the material back to their original account.
If open purchase orders already exist, you can only change the valuation class if you first flag the corresponding purchase order items for deletion.
If production orders exist for which a goods movement has already taken place, you can only change the valuation class if you first set the status of the production orders to Deleted.

    Dear,
    1) Delete Production Order,
    Please refer this link,
    [DeleteProduction Orders |http://www.sap-img.com/production/how-to-delete-old-production-orders.htm]
    2) Delete Planned Order,
MD16 is the only option to delete planned orders in mass.
During MRP run if you choose - Delete and recreate plan order mode. Automatically the unwanted plan orders
    2) Delete Purchase Requisation,
Execute MD04, in that it will display the created PR's
Check in tcode MD62 whether you have any demand for that material which you are getting PRs first delete requirement here/
Then run MRP by tcode MD03 or MD02 giving input of material and plant. In the initial screen of MD03 / MD02, make field planning mode - Delete and recreate planning data
    Is that Old PR Firmed.
If yes remove the Firm indicator and Re run the MRP with planning Mode 3.
It removes the PR from EBAN.
    Now check in MD04
    OR,
Use Mass change transaction code MEMASSRQ or use BAPI (BAPI_REQUISITION_DELETE) to do the same.
    Or
Use ME57 with layout ALV, in this also u can delete PR
If you want delete PR manually then
goto ME52N --> enter PR number --> select line item --> click delete button
    or
goto ME52N --> enter PR number --> Item --> Tab Quanties/Dates --> set tick mark for closed check box

  • Deleting Production Order

Is it possible to delete a production order in such way that we won't be able to find in AFPO table?

Only possible with archiving (SARA for object PP_ORDER)

  • V_V2 deleting production orders

We are running ERP 600.   One segment of the business runs MTO orders (strategy group 20).  When the sales order is created, a planned order is also created (as expected.)  The planned order is manually converted into a production order (typically the same day.)  When V_V2 is run in batch during the evening it often sets the delete flag on the production order and we don't know why!  We have tried to fix qty and date (on the schedule line) but that's not doing anything.  Also, we are seeing this flag set even if the order hasn't been released (or even if it has!)
Can anyone explain the logic behind why this is happening and what we can do to stop it?  We believe that this behavior started after we upgraded to ECC 600, although the user cannot be absolutely certain of this as there were a lot of process/business changes during that time.
    Thank you,
    Dave

I will do that.  As it's actually the SD rescheduling job that's causing the issue, I thought this might be a more appropriate area.
    Thanks,
    Dave

  • Consting impact of Deleted Production Order.

What is the costing impact if the Production Order is marked deletion flag ?
Edited by: Ujed Nagpure on Apr 28, 2009 2:14 PM

    Hi,
If a production order is marked with deletion flag, there will not be any costing impact.  Because, the production order with deletion flag will not possess any reservations of the components.  It will be a removal entity for the database system for the future.

  • Delete production order reservations

    Hi SAP GURU,
we have reservations open for process order and the order is marked for deletion. We are not able to display that order, but we can veiw that order in table.
so can you please suggest how to cancel/ delete the order reservation.
    Thanks,
    SAP PQ....

    Dear SAP PQ,
Do you mean to say the order status is DLF and you are not able to see the process order using COR3?
If your query is for the deletion flag set process orders, still you are able to see the reservations at table level means,it's a normal
behaviour. But you cant perform any GI using this reservation number related to the process order.
In order to completely delete this data from the system means, the actual deletion process is then performed by a reorganization
    program.
    Check and revert

  • Deletion of Production order

    Hi GURUS,
I need to know is there any transaction code to delete the production orders.
Also before I delete production order I need to carry out the below steps,
Correct the goods movement for the below orders
Clear all financial postings for below orders
Ans then to Delete production orders
Please provide me the step by step explanation for deleting the production orders.
    Awaiting for your reply.
    Cheers,
    Kumar.S

    Hi,
As mentioned earlier, to set deletion flag on the order, the balance should be zero.
The balance will be zero, when you reverse out all GI & confirmations if any, or when you settle the order.
So in this case, go thru' each order & check what has been the GI & what is confirmed, now reverse out the same if it is in the current period, if it is in previous period, then discuss with your FI person.
To clear recrods from COGI, the user needs authorization for COGI & also for the business transactions which are triggered from COGI, so once you get a error message saying not authorized, ask your basis person to address these issues.
I doubt there is a simple process for setting deletion flags, simply because you need to understand what has been done & only then suitable actions can be taken. So if you look at it from only system standpoint it would only be a few transactions, but the analysis has to be done from business side, which i guess you've done.
If you're not sure on the above, first do it in QA, get a sign from business on the same & then do it in PRD system.
    Regards,
    Vivek

  • Prevent Production order deletion from rrp3 and rrp4

    Hi,
We have an issue is that production orders(without release) have been deleted by somebody from RRP3 or RRP4 Transactions. How to prevent this without restricting user access? Is there anyway to find it in log?I checked in RRPLOG1.But it is showing the planning log and no details about deletion.
    Thanks&Regards
    Venkadesh

    Hi,
Production order is firmed receipt element and it is created in ECC and transfered to APO. So you cannot delete production order by using standarad tools in /SAPAPO/RRP3 or /SAPAPO/RRP4.
Yes it is possible to delete production order from livecatche by using function module delete incon orders but not using RRP3 or RRP4.
Once order is tecoed or closed it will be removed from APO automaticaly.
Are you sure it has been deleted from APO.
Run CCR and if it is in open state in ECC it will error order not in APO. You can push the order to APO.
You can try out to delete production order in APO using RRP3 or RRP4 in your test system  it will not allow even if it is not released.

    Santosh
