Unable to deploy composite view to Web Dynpro for VC 7.1 SP3

I have a sandbox set up to explore VC 7.1 - currently using VC 7.0 extensively. I am using a very simple composite view example with a bapi, input and output form. The R/3 box is defined and the bapi test works fine. When XGL is selected as runtime, the example compiles with no errors. When Web Dynpro is selected as runtime, the following error occurs:
An exception at the server while running the build process: Extension with id com.spa.vc.runtimeproviders.null not found. For more details please refer to this log file.
I have reviewed the log file and have not found any help. I have tried several different examples and the same error occurs.

Please ignore my issue.....I had selected incorrect option in EM console...

For POp up view please follow the below steps.
1. Create one view [Ex:popup_view] and design it as per your requirement.
2. Create one window [Ex:popup_win] and embed the popview_view into pop up window.
3. Then write the below code when ever you need a pop up window.

        l_window_manager    type ref to if_wd_window_manager.
l_cmp_api           = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).

How to use data from standard view in Web dynpro for ABAP

I have to create an Abap Web Dynpro, and I must use data from a standard view in the new one. Does anybody know what do I have to do?

Hi Rodrigo,
Firstly, list the Standard component under Component Usage of the Component which you are creating in your View.
Second, In the Custom Component, view, goto context, and try to add the node from the Standard component in to your view.
NOTE: The second step requires a Node in component controller of the Standard Component.
Finally, Now in your view, get the data from that and map the data.
NOTE: To do this, I think you need to call your Standard WDA first and then only your node contains data and it will be passed.

Problem with deployment [credentials error] in Web Dynpro

Hi all,
Suddenly I was not able to deploy anymore.
I am using SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, Version: 7.0.11, Build id: 200702010238.
For deployment I log with user SDM and some password. The Visual Admin wanted to change the Administrator's password and since then I am not able to deploy my project in Web Dynpro.
I am a little confused actually how changing Administrator's password and not changing SDM's password would lead to such an issue.
I will highly appreciate if somebody could give me a clue about a solution!

Do the following Steps,
Use the Config Tool to change the entry in secure storage as follows:
1. Start the Config Tool.
(Execute <SAPj2eeEngine_install_dir> \configtool\configtool.bat.)
2. Select the secure store node.
The configuration for the secure storage in the file system appears.
3. Select the admin/password/<SID> entry.
4. Enter the administrator user's new password in the "Value" field and choose "Add".
5. Choose "File" --> "Apply" to save the data.
Note: Contrary to the message that appears, you do not need to restart the server or cluster for this change to take effect.
6. Finally restart SDM server.
Then deploy.

How to increase the font size of a text view in Web Dynpro layout. I have tried the 'Design' property of the text view and made it 'Group Title', But i want even bigger font size.

This should NOT work! The UI elements should safe encode all input values - thereby eliminating the value of any HTML tags. If you system isn't doing this already then it is a bug and if you rely on such a thing it will stop working at some point in the future.
You are basically restricted to different values available via the design parameter. The overall font sizes come from the underlying themes and the client applications (browser or NetWeaver Business Client) that host the Web Dynpro Application. Therefore no direct specification of the font size is possible in order to stay within the controls of theme. If you don't like any of the designs available, you might consider altering the Portal Theme you are using - but that is a rather drastic approach.

Problem in changing CAPTION (header) of a View in Web dynpro component

Hi All,
I want to change the Caption (header) text of a View in Web dynpro component. But when i transport it the changes are not reflecting in other systems.
Also when i activate the Web dynpro component in development system, it issues a message "The text belongs to package $TMP". But the Web dynpro component is assigned to a custom package.
Any pointers to resolve this is appreciated.

Please check the 'text' property of the caption.
e.g : If you are using OTR to bind the text then it might be possible that the OTR text belongs to $TMP package.

Creating Sales Order using Web Dynpro for java

Hi SDN,
I am new to Web Dynpro for java. I have developed an application for creating a sales order using adaptive RFC Model using BAPI. It's working fine when i create a single order. I wanna create SO with more than one line item. I have used the Table UI Element to do so. But i could not able to enter the 2nd item details. Please suggest me how to pass more than one line item from the Table UI element.

If the BAPI Contains Output values in R/3 side.
I mean to say if BAPI contains 4 line items.u can get thru wdjava the followinf way.
1. Create webdynpro application.
2.Import the model.
3.Create Customcontroller and model binding .
4. Write the execute method in controller.

WdContext.node<BAPI>.bind(b);
give inputs for BAPI
b.setname(" ");
b.setno("");

5. create view or when u give the dynpro application its

6.Crete UI for ur table thru insertTemplate table directly mapp the output values.

Web Dynpro For ABAP Question

I'm creating Adobe Interactive forms in Web Dynpro for ABAP.

<b>Context defined in the created "View" is not displayed in the 'templates' (Adobe Interactive Form in the "Data View" tab.</b>
I'm following the exact steps used in the following e-learning class:

Except I'm creating 'string' fields instead of numeric fields like in the above e-learning class and creating my forms in Adobe Livecycle designer first then importing them to the web dynpro for abap - 'templates'.
The 1st form I created went well and works fine.

For my second and third form I'm unable to map my context fields they are not displayed in the "Data View" anyone know why this is not possible?

are you creating the form via forward navigation from webdynpro abap?
When you do that the context of the form should be created automaticaly.
What Basis SP level are you using?

N4S: Web Dynpro for ABAP layout editor not working

Have problem in Layout editor in Web Dynpro for ABAP
I have installed NW04S Testdrive on 64bit Linux and able to login.
SE80 is working alright.
Next I create a Web Dynpro Comp. / Intf. and create a component.
I double click on the View name "V_Default" . The Layout editor opens on the right side. Change into Edit Mode.
The "View Elements" panel on the left side of layout editor is missing. This is where we select the various elements like "Textview" etc.
Even the right click on the "ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER" to insert elements using context menu does not work.
In summary I am not able to add any element in WD4A Layout screen.
Is there any special plugin required to be installed?
How to solve this problem?

This is available with netweaver 2004s (WAS7.0) for which ramp up is going on right now and the general availability is expected sometime around 1st quarter for 2006.

There are 2 supported ways :
First is to use JCO connections to call abap RFC enabled function modules. (BAPIs for example)
Second is to call SOAP web services (HR enterprise services for example)
You should never access directly database tables...

Hi Daisuke,
As per your requirement, to get done your work you need to create two Adobe Forms , one is for Offline Interactive Form and other is Online Interactive Form.
In offline Interactive you design your form and define the Layout type as zci layout and Abap Dictionary Based interface. And by executing the form you can save the form to your desktop.
Now in online Interactive Form you create the context similar to the one which has been created in the Offline Interactive Form. Now in one view you define the file upload functionality and in other view you define the adobe interactive form, for this the interface is automatically as it asks for the context and its of type XML based interface, also do maintain the context variable something like "PDFDATASTRING" with type XSTRING in the Component Controller and now in adobe view you give the property pdfstring as "PDFDATASTRING" and dont forget to provide the navigation of these two view, and set the File Upload View as default view.
The above functionality can help you in some way or the other.

ClassName property missing in file for Web Dynpro for ABAPSSO layer

We are trying to create an ABAP webdynpro iview using XML content creation in EP7.3. Below link points to the XML used to create the iview. After importing this xml, iview is being created in specified PCD location.

But when we preview the iview, we are getting an exception which says

you have Configuration Controller that we can call it as CC in Webdynpro application which developed using FPM that is Floor Plan Manager, which is used as part of developing the ESS and MSS business package.
The configuration Component is used to difine all the View Navigations and Road Map steps and define prespectives, and Vac's, Events for navigation from one view to another view.
