Unable to Deploy Content Portlet Ear in Oracle AS with Webcenter 10g

Hi!
I am trying to deploy the oracle Content Portlet and use its wsdl url in my jdeveloper. But after following the initialization steps in the cps-installation guide, i tried deploying it in the Application server. When i click "deploy" the initial log messages are coming properly after waiting for hours together it is not showing success message.
Also i did not find the application name in the deployed applications list.
I doubt whether i had to add any more shared libraries in my initial steps.
Could anybody say what are the shared libraries to be imported?
I deselected the apache.commons.logging as mentioned in the installation guide and also selected the oracle.wsrp library since it was not selected by default in my libraries list.
When i checked the applications folder the only available folders under the application name for cps specified is the war directory and inside it had /WEB-INF/ with 2 xml files and it had no other files and folders. Am i missing something here? Am new to this. Pl help.

But may i know, is Windows Home edition is a real issue ? If yes, then how am i able to connect with SQL*Plus and not with iSQL*Plus ?

Unable to deploy ALBPM Engine EAR

We were using ALBPM Version: 6.0.3 build 86775; after upgrading to Version: 6.0.4 build 92179 added an engine with all the required configuration (in process administrator) and created the engine EAR. But I am unable to install the engine EAR to the WebLogic Server. The installation goes on (the progress bar in process administrator continues to move). In the WLS console the status of the engine EAR appears as "Running Deployment" And in the server log the following <Error> message keeps appearing every 10 mins:

I'm still using 6.03 release but I did have a lot of problems initially with cross platform version compatibility. You might need to check the Release notes for the R4 release to see if it is still compatible with the release of WebLogic you are using.

I think you might be in the wrong forum. This one is for WebCenter Interaction - the old BEA ALUI/Plumtree product, not the original Oracle WebCenter Portal.

Deploying ADF Portlets into WLServer (Oracle Portal 11g Domain)

i'm trying to deploy an ADF application (portlets) to be consumed in Oracle Portal 11g as WSRP.

Hi Pedro
Make sure that the Domain on which you are deploying this application has the module loaded/deployed by name "oracle.webcenter.skin". Within your domain/config/config.xml file you should have this module loaded:

When you created this WLS Domain, did you checked the right facets in the first couple of screens or did you just created a bare WLS Domain. Looks like mostly you may not have the above module, because the error stack trace does complain about this:
Unresolved application library references, defined in weblogic-application.xml: Extension-Name: oracle.webcenter.skin, Specification-Version: 11.1.1, exact-match: false
Incase if this module is deployed, make sure that the version is correct and matches with the one defined in weblogic-application.xml file.
Another possibility. Is this is CLUSTER Domain...? If YES, then deploy your app only to managed server and not admin server, because by default all modules are deployed only to cluster(managed servers) and not admin server.

Though the classpath/path looks like it has references to JDK 1.5, it is actually referring to jrocket JDK 1.6. I can confirm this because when I type "C:\ORACLE\MIDDLE~1\JROCKI~1.5-3\lib" in windows explorer it takes me to "C:\ORACLE\Middleware\jrockit_160_14_R27.6.5-32\lib"
Moreover, C:\ORACLE\Middleware is the place where I installed weblogic 11gR1.
I looked at the startWeblogic.cmd, setDomainEnv.cmd and commEnv.cmd to trace how the JDK path is getting manipulated and I found that in setDomainEnv.cmd there is a line "for %%i in ("%JAVA_HOME%") do set JAVA_HOME=%%~fsi " which is converting the full JDK path to short path. Below are the references in the .cmd files :

Portlet ear deployment fails with 9iAS/JDeveloper

Hi.
My portlet deployment fails, when I deploy
the portlet-ear (generated with java portlet wizard).
The connection to 9iAS works fine with the test.
I just get this error:

Yes, the properties files and provider.xml files exist,
and they are not corrupted (atleast I don't see any relevant differences).
I installed the OC4J with the help of these files:

Deploy IBM EAR on Oracle Application Server 10G

I need to deploy an IBM EAR to Oracle Application Server 10G. When i'm trying to deploy I get this message.

It appears that this EAR utilizes Apache Common Logging and the following import might have been uses in some of the java classes.
import org.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory;
I don't think these can be deployed in Oracle 10gAS as is.

Hello,
I try to deploy an ear file (contains jar and war files) in Oracle Application server in linux, but the time is so long. The same file I deploy in a OAS in windows and the deploy time was 2 minutes, but in linux I leave the hole night and the session close and the deploy in unable.
I don't know if I need configure an especial option in the OAS in Linux, how I can load my ear file.
The OAS in windows was installed with oc4j options only, but the OAS in linux was full installation
Please help me....

Unable to deploy portlet into standalone oc4j

Hi,
I am very new to the portal development and I have been following the portal development/deployment instructions given on oracle for developing a Struts based portlet.
I have created the a new application server connection to the standalone oc4j 10g 10.1.3 and I have also created the deployment profile.
But when I try to deploy my application to this standalone connection I always receive the following error. Please help me find a solution for this as I have no idea why this is happening:

It normally indicates something wrong with your auth provider settings. I believe there are similar messages on this forum , search them(the last time was someone had a different schema for his user tables than the normal portal schema). See if there are any other errors (before) or the complete stack trace.
Check whether your security realm is configured correctly and all the expected users and roles are present there.

Unable to deploy .ear on OAS portal

Hi All,
I deploy my portal application (.ear) on oracle application server portal through putty using dcmctl command. But, since yesterday, I am unable to deploy my application.
Following is the error.
ADMN-300174
File /var/tmp/dex27154.tmp/PortalApp.ear is not a jar file.
Resolution:
Base Exception:
java.util.zip.ZipException
error in opening zip file
Please let me know how to resolve this problem as I am unable to deploy updated .ear file.
Note: I tried to deploy the older versions of .ear files but still the same problem. I feel there could be some problem with the stack size or memory size which is restricting the complete extraction of .ear file.

I believe there is a problem with the way you set the variable theAMDefName. It should be:

Then you need to reinstate the line you commented out, to set the application path (but remove the trailing / from the path, as shown):
env.put(JboContext.APPLICATION_PATH, "test/jd");
If that doesn't work, and for future reference, I suggest testing your deployed application module from the Business Component Browser (aka the tester) before trying your hand-coded client. Start the tester, select Oracle8i as the middle tier server type, make sure the other information in the connect window is correct, then click Connect.
