Unable to deploy Mapping

Hi All,
am a Newbie in OWB.
Would need your help in resolving this issue.
1) Created a table in the warehouse/target module
2) created a very simple mapping from a source db table
to target db table.
3) Succesfully deployed the table created thro OWB.
4) validation was succesfull.
5) when i try to deploy the mapping generated by the OWB
i get a page full of errors.
Ex: PLS-0201 identifier:WBPRT1.AUDITD_BEGIN must
be declared
PL/SQL Statement ignored
on and on ....
6) if i copy the INTERMEDIATE RESULT CODE and run it in
SQL-PLUS things are working fine.
It is strange that OWB generates the code and throws such error while deploying.
OR
Please let me know if am missing something.
TIA
shankar

Hi Igor,
Thanks for ur earlier responses!
I have started all over again after a short break.
Installed OWB 9.2 as per the Runtime viewlet. Specified Runtime rep, target schema etc
For testing end to end flow created a src module, tgt module tables mappings etc
Was able to succesfully deploy the tables.
Now again am stuck up while deploying mappings.
i get the following error message.
ORA-06550: line 16, column 9:
PL/SQL: ORA-04052: error occurred when looking up remote object [email protected]@EMEA_DB_LINK
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-02068: following severe error from EMEA@EMEA_DB_LINK
When i view the code by selecting generated code option everything seems to be ok.
but when i view the code after selcting the "Deploy" option the DB link is referred as
status"@"EMEA"@"EMEA_DB_LINK"
which is causing the error.
i would like to understand how this is created
"[email protected]@EMEA_DB_LINK"
"sa.stats@EMEA@EMEA_DB_LINK"
sa- is the user name
status - table name
EMEA/EMEA.US.ORACLE.COM - ?? from where is the value picked??
EMEA_DB_LINK - db link name
i am reffering to a remote SQL Server database for the source module.
TIA
shankar

  • Unable to deploy Mapping in OWB

I am using OWB 10.1.0.4.0 for development purposes.
I created a source module and a target module and then created a mapping.
The mapping references 2 tables from the source and one table from the target itself.
2 grant statements were executed from the source schema granting select on these 2 tables to the target schema.
A database link was created in the target schema using the CREATE DATABASE LINK statement.
A connector was deployed and successfully created in the target module in OWB.
When I deploy the mapping, I get the error – table or view does not exist
I checked the script that was generated as a result of the mapping deployment.
All three tables are available in the select query. But the tables referenced from the source schema do not have
the source schema name attached to them.
i.e., if EMP table is referenced from the source schema SRC, the query should have SRC.EMP in the FROM
clause. But this is not the case. Only EMP is referenced.
I tried everything I could think of , but I am unable to deploy the mapping.
    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

In your map, does the source table reside in the OWB src module, and the target table reside in the target module? And the modules are configured correctly, so src module uses src location and tgt module uses tgt location. If OWB thinks these are in the same database instance schema.table references should be generated in the code, db link will not be used. The way this same locality is determined is by comparing the host, port, service names for example. Did you create your map like this? Or did you just add unbound tables representing the source and target in the map? So with OWB you can build bottom up or top down.
    Cheers

  • OWB - Unable to deploy mapping

    My environment is as follows:
OS- Microsoft windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 2
    OWB client---9.0.3.33.0
    OWB Repository--9.0.3.0.1
Database--oracle 9i Enterprise Edition 9.0.1.3.1 with the partioning option Jserver Release9.0.1.3.0
    OEM--9.0.1.0.0
I have created mapping between the source(oracle)and target(oracle)using Oracle Warehouse Builder. Mapping was validated, configured and it successfully generated the .Pls Package without warnings. when I try to deploy the generated mapping it throws the Oracle error:ORA-00942:table or view does not exist and SQL statement ignored.
If I see the status of generated .Pls Package Body in SQL*Plus it shows status as Invalid.
    SQL statement is:
    SELECT OBJECT_NAME,OBJECT_TYPE,STATUS
    FROM ALL_OBJECTS WHERE OBJECT_NAME LIKE... etc.;
The above OWB copy was downloaded from the Oracle corp website. Is this version an evaluation copy? Alternatively Is this a beta copy ?
    Please help.

    Has been answered.
    Mark.

Does anybody has an idea what the problem could be and how to track it down?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Kostas
Thanks a lot for your help and hints! I am running Windows 7 64 Bit
I had Java 8, once with Release 20 and once with Release 25, installed - and thought that I pointed all to the newest version.
What helped in the end was to
    - deinstall all Javas
    - reboot
    - installed newest JDK, without the "Public JRE"
    - reboot
    - set JAVA_HOME and appended the Java-bin-dir to the path-Variable
    - reboot
    - installed a fresh version of Glassfish
    - configured a new Glassfish-Server on Eclipse
-> and now it runs perfectly!
Thanks again for your work and hints!

you are probably using a older version of 6.1. please use the latest service pack. Service Packs are mostly bug fix releases and they are safe to be upgraded even on production systems. Please note - we always recommend using the latest service pack

[03:35:14 AM] See server logs or server console for more details.
-to solve this issue we just delete the cache and restart the Managed server.
Please tell me what is the cause of this error and how can we fix it permanently, as restarting the server everytime is not very convenient.

I am stuck in that my EJB3.0 project (one entity bean, one session bean and one client test bean) builds OK but somehow Eclipse Europa is unable to deploy it to JBoss (4.0.4 GA and 5 Beta) -- something to do with JNDI error as it involves javax.naming exceptions.

I don't understand, because as of EJB 3.0, you don't really need a home or local-home interface anymore...

Using @SecurityDomain("exemplo1") in my EJB and NOT providing jboss.xml, it works.
    @SecurityDomain("exemplo1")
    @RolesAllowed("yyy")
    @Stateless(name="UserManagement")
    public class UserManagementBean implements UserManagement {
      public void add(User user) {
}Damn! This is some serious shit... I dont want to configure this in every single EJB.
EJB 3.0 is nice, but some small trivial details like this and others, that was forgotten by Sun, piss me off!

    Hi,
How did you uninstall the graphics drvier? From Devices manager or Programs and Features?
Please open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features
And then, search for "NVIDIA Graphics Driver" and then select the "Change/Remove" button to begin the uninstall process.
Next, once the uninstall has completed, reboot Windows so that the other NVIDIA components can be removed as well.
If the issue still persists, since this driver that you recently installed caused problems with your PC, you can restore Windows back to an earlier point in time.

    Hello,
Thanks a lot for your answer
This step alone work very well. So i have supected and bad domaine configuration
because I have deployed the same application onto another machine and everything
was good (and the OS is the same).
On the production machine (where there is a problem), i have check BEA_HOME, WL_HOME,
    JAVA_HOME and everything is good.
Have you another tip for me ?

    Alain.

    is a ejbc error.

  • Unable to Deploy Applications:  "process is not defined in the descriptor"

    All
I'm having a fairly serious issue here trying to take an LCA from one environment and get it in another environment.  Both the source and destination environments are LCES 2.5 (LCES 2 with SP2).  I have roughly 6 applications and there are some far dependencies (one application referencing an asset of another application) therein.  I've taken an LCA of all these applicaitons from the source environment and the LCA imports just fine in the destination environment but I am unable to deploy any of the applications that have far dependencies.  The error I consistently get when I attempt to deploy any application that has a far dependency is:
[Some process name].process is not defined in the descriptor.
I have tried all of the following:
    1) Taking 1 LCA of all applications together
    2) Taking multiple LCAs where each LCA contains only one application
    3) Taking multiple LCAs where each LCA includes an application as well as all far dependencies for that application
Regardless of what I try, they won't deploy.  I can import the LCA and I can get the applications in Workbench and play around with them but they simply won't deploy.  I've also attempted to manually fix all depencies within the processes themselves but that doesn't work either.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Just wanted to follow up on the solution to my issue.
It appears the issue centers around circular far dependencies.  In general, it seems LiveCycle chokes when two applications each reference one another.  Note that I'm not talkinng about true circular referencing here wherein one process within application A references a process in application B while that same process refers back to the original process in application A.  In fact, although I haven't tested recently, I believe LiveCycle may actually catch this kind of issue.  The circular far dependencies I'm talking about is simply where a process in application A (call it a1) references a process in application B (call it b1) while a process in application B (call it b2) references a process in applicatoin A (call it a2).  Apparently this kind of circular referencing causes the deployment of said applications to choke.
The fix was tedious as I had to manually delete all of the far dependencies from both application, deploy those two applications to get them into the runtime, and then implement those dependencies again.
Going forward it seems like a best practice to only ever have 1 direction for dependencies for any application.

  • C540 unable to view maps

We are UK based, and have recently bought a C540 touchscreen computer.   It came with Windows 8, and very soon we upgraded to 8.1.
We had a local computer company set it all up for us.
We are unable to view maps on a couple of websites (Open Streetmap and Tomtom Live Traffic).   Other maps are fine (e.g. Google Maps).  These are websites which we want to be able to use, and can't understand what the problem is.
It's the same when using IE11, Firefox and Chrome.  On two other computers in our home, there is no problem - one is a laptop with Windows 7, the other an old computer with XP.
Any advice would be appreciated please.

Now that you have updated the Ovi Maps application, you need to update the map data as well.
Using File manager, delete the Cities folder and qf file from the memory card. Then run Maps once before using Ovi Suite to download the required map data.

  • Unable to load mapping - Integration Repository

    Hi,
I created a Message Mapping and saved it, then when I close it and try to open it again I can't see it and this message appears:
    "Unable to load mapping"
Any ideas why? I'm on XI 3.0 SP17

    Hi,
Problems may be because of some java patches.
Is this error is repeatable/reproducable in the different namespace/SWCV. Check this
Have a look into this -
    Unable to load mapping
    hope this helps
    Regards,
    moorthy
