Unable to detect Lab Pc 1200 in max 3.0
I am currently trying to install a legacy NI DAQ card
Lab PC 1200 onto a Windows 98 machine. I believe this is a plug and play card as the windows operating system is detecting it everytime I boot up the machine. THe windows keep on prompting me for the driver.
From the NI website, I have obtained NI DAQ 7.0 installation. I have installed it but I still could not find any such devices under the device settings. I have try refreshing the list a few times by clicking view/refresh. However, there is still no such device
Currently, I have only installed the NI DAQ 7.0. I do not have any other NI software product like Labview. Will this affect the card installation? I have attached the MAX 3.0 configuration pix

In the NI-DAQ 7.0 Readme file you will find that the Lab PC 1200 is no longer supported by the NI-DAQ driver. This is one of our legacy devices as will not be ported to our new driver.
If you wish to use this board, you will have to install version 6.9.3, or previous, of the NI-DAQ driver. You can find version 6.9.3 on our website at http://www.ni.com by clicking on Download Software or by using the following link directly.

Lab-PC-1200 not responding in Win2000
I was using a functioning system using a Lab-PC-1200 DAQ card and Win98 and LabView 5.1.1. I upgraded the computer to Win2000, and now I am having problems.
When I first run my application, everything seems fine (I read my analog inputs from the card correctly), but when I run a portion of the application that involves data collection in a While Loop, I get an "Error -10452 @ AI Single Scan. NI-DAQ LV: No inerrupt level is available for use."
After a while of trying to troubleshoot that problem unsuccessfully, I try to go into M&A Explorer and Test Resources and get "The device is not responding to the selected base address." I was not getting this error before.
So my first goal is to find out why the device is no longer re
sponding. I am running NI-DAQ 6.9.3. In the Win2000 device manager, it says everything is operating correctly. I have tried rebooting, reseating the card, deleting the device then rebooting to re-install the drivers, and nothing seems to work.
I have read through several other complaints of similar problems, but no solutions yet. Any other ideas out there?Hello,
I was able to find a document which is similar to your problem, although a different operating system. It sounds like for your case, you have an IRQ assigned, so that will differ from the information that I found. Regardless, I will post it for information that could assist you. I suggest checking the resources and seeing if there is anything else that is sharing your resources. If there are, either assign a different IRQ (if available) to your device, or disable the devices that are sharing. The other suggestion that I have for you is to try the device in a different computer to see if you can isolate the problem to either the board or the computer. If it is the board, then you can send the device in for a repair.
Good luck.

================================
The following trick was used on a Windows98 machine to assign an IRQ to a Lab-PC-1200 board (AT-interface) when no free IRQs were available. The lack of free IRQs caused an error -10452 during any buffered acquisition. In this case, we deliberately created a resource conflict with LPT1 and the DAQ Card, both using IRQ 7, to get the DAQ card working. The "trick" is to know that the user cannot simultaneously use LPT1 and the DAQ card and live with the conflict. Before trying this procedure, confirm that the DAQ card installed properly, and the only problem is the lack of an IRQ assignment to the card because none are available.
1) In Win9x, enter start >> settings >> control panel >> system >> device manager >> select "computer" >> properties >> select "View Resources" and IRQ. Browse the list and determine if any free IRQ levels are available - also determine what resources which are currently used are not needed. (*note : do not mess with any entries that you do not understand). In this case, the user identified LPT1 as a used resource that he would not need. Press "cancel" to get back to the device manager tab.
2) In the system control panel device manager, select the DAQ card lacking an IRQ resource under "Data Acquisition Devices". Select "properties" and go to the resources tab. Uncheck "Use Automatic Settings" and select a configuration that allows entry of an IRQ. Select IRQ and press "Change Setting", scroll through the list of IRQs until you select one used by a device that you know you can live without. In this case, we selected IRQ 7 for LPT1. (note - you can also try reserving IRQ resources under the "reserve resources" tab).
3) Reboot the computer.
4) Enter Device Manager again - observe that the two devices are now showing a conflict on the selected IRQ - this is normal and on-purpose.
5) Enter Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). Select the DAQ card and test resources. The device should now pass the test.
Other Suggestion:
In the BIOS, some computers allow you to select PCI only, ISA only, or both PCI/ISA for various slots, and thus reserves resources for those slots. You may be able to enter the BIOS and select "Both PCI/ISA" to free resources for use with ISA cards if they are reserved for PCI cards. -
Hi, I am trying to use LabVIEW to generate a waveform and send it to a phantom using a Lab-PC-1200 card.However I can't seem o get my program to recognise the Lab-PC card.Any suggestions?
( I can see the Lab-PC card in MAX but can't get it to work on LabVIEW.)Thanks in advance.This card is not supported by DAQmx 7.0+ see the attached KB

Lab-PC-1200 is not detecting in win98. Can I install 1200 manually?
Is Lab-PC-1200 driver for win98 supports Intel chipset 815?Hello Sajen,
What version of the driver are you using? For that particular DAQ board, you will need the 6.9.3 driver.
Have you successfully installed this board on another machine? I do not know of any incompatibility with the Intel 815 chipset.

Error while creating request list Unable to detect the SAP system directory
We are upgrading SAP BW (NW 7.0 EHP1) to SAP BW (NW 7.3)
source OS: Windows 2008 R2, source DB: MSSQL server 2008 R2 SP1 CU3
I had started the upgrade by running: STARTUP.BAT
I had started the DSUGui on the server (CI / DB on the same server) from: D:\usr\sap\BP1\upg\sdt\exe\DSUGui.bat
I ran both programs (run as administrators).
Once SAP Gui connects and was able to create userid/ password and when ready to start the initialization phase (click next)
gives me the error
Error while creating request list - see preceeding messages. Unable to detect the SAP system directory on the local host
I had tried STARTUP.BAT "jce_policy_zip=Z:\export-import\downloads\jce_policy-6' and still the same error.
I had started DSUGui.bat with trace and the trace file contents are

Lawrence,
Below is the log you requested. This was taken after renaming the SoftwareDistribution directory. The user reported CPU usage went back up to 100% at around 14:00 after which we killed the service. This is too long for one post, so I'm breaking it in two.

Hi I am trying to patch my win2008 server (64 bit) from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.1.5.
During the first try I got an error like 'cannot install using a 32-bit jvm' event though there was a 64 bit JVM on the machine in the PATh and JAVA_HOME.
So I decided to uninstall the 32-bit JVM.
Since then I get the error
INST-07407: Unable to detect machine platform or JVM bits
I added a Jrockit JVM to the system, no change.
Any idea where OBIEE is searching for the JVM? My environment shall be properly set to the 64 bit JVM.
Regards,
Knut
Edited by: knherzog on 16.06.2011 06:36I hit the same error. It's JDK related.
The following jdk was already installed on the server:
$ java -version
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b09)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.6.0-b09, mixed mode)
I installed Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.2
I tried to install Oracle Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer 11.1.1.2.0 and hit that error.
I uninstalled Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.2
I installed the following jdk (a support version!):
$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_26"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_26-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.1-b02, mixed mode)
I re-installed Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.2
I then installed Oracle Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer 11.1.1.2.0 and it was successful. -

Unable to detect LUNS in solaris 9.
Hi all,
We added HBA card to one of the Solaris 9 server (Sun Fire V240). Configured zoning and presented the LUNs to the server from EVA6100. But LUNs are not visible in OS side. Verified the link, zone config and the Storage config. All looks fine.
Applied all required packages and patches from server level.
Storage Details:
Storage Model: EVA 6100
Server Details:
OS Version: Sun Solaris 9
HBA Model: SG-XPCI2FC-EM4-Z - Sun StorageTek PCI-X Enterprise 4Gb Dual Channel FC Emulex Host Bus Adapter, includes standard and low profile brackets. RoHS 6 compliant
luns are visible in OK prompt but not in OS.
if there are additional parameters i need to know

we are still unable to detect luns in OS.
We have installed the recommended packages/patches from Oracle mentioned below, but still the LUN is not visible. Kindly check and let us know if any other parameters to be configured in Solaris side.

Unable to detect any parameter in html (webresource) when value is passed from onload method of form
I am trying out some stuff. For which I created a simple Entity. In the form of the entity I have added a simple web resource (html). And for the onload of the form I am calling the following function
function HelpDeskActivityOnLoadhandler()
var customParameters = encodeURIComponent("first=First Value&second=Second Value&third=Third Value");
Xrm.Utility.openWebResource("tsi_scriptzz",customParameters);
Here is the code for the tsi_scriptzz.html
<html>
<body>
<script type="text/javascript">
var vals = new Array();
if (location.search != "") {
vals = location.search.substr(1).split("&");
for (var i in vals) {
vals[i] = vals[i].replace(/\+/g, " ").split("=");
</script>
</body>
</html>
MY PROBLEM IS -> location.search is always coming back with empty string. So, it not getting the parametrs I am passing from the load method of the form.
Could someone kindly help me.
Thanks,
HasibHello, I tried it myself. I got a new_test.htm file and a new_test.js file. The loadWebResource function is called on the OnLoad event of an Entity.
function loadWebResource()
var params = encodeURIComponent('param1=value one¶m2=value two¶m3=value three');
Xrm.Utility.openWebResource('new_test.htm', params);
<html>
<head>
<title>Web Resource Parameter Example</title>
<!-- Use ../ClientGlobalContext.js.aspx if your webresource is in a deeper folder on CRM -->
<script src="ClientGlobalContext.js.aspx" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
document.onreadystatechange = function () {
if (document.readyState == 'complete') {
var params = getParams();
for(var i=0; i<params.length; i++)
log(params[i].name + ' ' + params[i].value);
// this functions puts the params in a 'dictionary format'
// f.e params[0].name = param1 & params[0].value = 'value one'
// You could customize this function or find some on the internet to retrieve a param fe by name...
// This is just an example how to get the name and values
function getParams(){
var params = [];
var querystring = Xrm.Page.context.getQueryStringParameters().Data;
var querystringparts = querystring.split('&');
for(var i=0; i<querystringparts.length;i++)
var split = querystringparts[i].split('=');
params.push({
name: split[0],
value: split[1]
</script>

Hope it helps now. Kind Regards -
ERROR: Unable to detect fingerprint device
Pavilion dm4 laptop worked fine yesterday. Booted up this morning and the option to sign in with a finger swipe was missing.
PC has ""HP SimplePass Identity Protection" with a "Validity Sensors, Inc" fingerprint scanning device.
Clicking SimplePass icon and then clicking Control Center gives error message: "Unable to detect fingerprint device".
Device Manager for Biometric Devices says that Validity Sensor is "working properly".
Trying to update device driver indicates that the latest driver is already installed.
Tried a "Hard Reset" to see if static electricity buildup was the culprit, but nothing seemed to change.
Ran "Troubleshooter" to detect new hardware or changed hardware, but nothing was detected.
Made sure BIOS was set to Default Configuration.
No programs were installed yesterday, no updates from Windows or HP.
Stumped as what to try next. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Marty
dm4t i5-430M 4GB-RAM IntelGraphicsHi Bryan,
Thanks for the suggestion, but I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled the Validity Sensor drivers and the SimplePass software (in both Normal and Safe modes). SimplePass is still unable to detect the Validity Sensor.
I can open and run SimplePass and make a few changes to some general settings, and it seems to work fine. Also, Device Manager is still saying that Validity Sensor is “running properly”.
Had a detailed telephone conversation with Tech Support to make sure that I wasn’t overlooking anything. We ran through a checklist, but the problem is still there. Tech Support and I think that the problem is a hardware failure of the sensor. Unfortunately, I was informed that I had to do a “lobotomy”, a full System Recovery, before they could authorize returning the PC. Right now the PC works absolutely fine except for the Validity Sensor, and I really can’t be without my PC for a week or longer. So … Tech Support has me scheduled for a callback in January. Will do the recovery then. 99% sure that the recovery will not fix the problem, but now is definitely the wrong time of the year to be without my dm4t.
In fact, even thought the PC is only 4 months old and under warranty, I’d prefer it if HP could mail me a new sensor, and I’d install it myself, but don’t think HP would approve this option.
Regards,
Marty

Want to update plug-ins as I've been getting script errors, usually involving chrome and what may be java script, advisories of virtual memory being too small, etc. Nurse indicates some "Up to date" in green box. Others indicate "unable to detect plug-in version. I click "research" and get myriad sites offering options I've no hope of understanding. Can you help? L
What are the names of the plugins that show up as "Research" on the [https://www.mozilla.com/plugincheck/ Mozilla Plugin Check] page?
For example, I only have one like that, Microsoft® Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin np-mswmp ... and the Research button lists a Microsoft page as the first link.
For script errors, maybe this will help? [[Warning Unresponsive script]]

Unable to detect router WRT54G
Set up disk tells me it is unable to finish installation. ELA tells me it is unable to detect router. I just exchanged my WRT54G router for a new one because I was unable to access the router's web page. I was told by a computer guy that my router must be dead, so I exchanged it (it was only 4 months old). I also had a very lengthy online chat session to try to fix the problem.
My internet connections are working, though and ELA tells me my network is 'ok' and my wireless network is 'secured.' But under 'Network Settings' it does not recognize the router and I am unable to access and configure my router through the browser.
Below, I've tried to copy and paste the router web page -- it only shows a few details, no words at the tops of the tabs, so I am unable to configure.
Also, I have downloaded new firmware (this router is v.8) with the tftp tool -- it says it is successful. PLEASE HELP! I've spent too much time on this . . .

More...My suggestion is you start over from scratch. Redownload the firmware with a wired connection....After you install the firmware. Hit the reset button for thirty seconds and let it reconfigure. Powercycle the modem and router. By this I mean turn everything off. Turn on the modem...wait till it has booted up. Then turn on the router..wait till it has booted up and turn on the pc. Dont use the install cd or easy link. Once you have booted everything up. See if your computer will detect the router wirelessly. The ssid is usually "linksys". Make sure you can make a connection. Once you make a connection and can access the internet ....then you can connect to the router wired...and enter the web browser. See if you can get to this point first before we proceed.
