Unable to display information message written inside badi

Hi All,
In customer creation i want to display Info message after pessing save button. I have written the message inside the badi. I can see my message in debugging mode in status bar, which on debugging mode off can't able to see. I tried with more than 25 scenarios got from SDN forum as well as suggested by someone.
Please reply if u have implemented sucessfully the same kind of reqirement.

I wrote message inside the method preset sale area of badi customer_add_data.
The message ls "Message 'some text' type 'I' "
In debugging mode when the cursor reaches to my message then as soon as i press F5, this message get displayed in the status bar and with one more F5 it disappears.
So like this i wrote that the message appears only in fraction of second that when without debugging mode i process the transaction it doesn't appears and i can't see this.

As we know maximum character limit for displayin info messge is 72 but if it is more than 72 like my case how should i approach to solve the problem.

Try the following code and Function Module.

Problem with resource bundle messages written inside script of jsf included

I have a main jsf page with the name Details.jsp.In this page I included Contacts jsf page.I am using resouce bundle for my application.I written all the output text tags with this resouce bundle keys.And I written the Details main page javascript alerts with this resource bundle correctly.But the problem is,I am having script alrts in my included jsf apge i.e. in Contacts page.When I write the script alerts with the resource bundle keys,it is not displaying properly.

The alert message in SaveFn is getting appeared coorectly.But in the function emailValidation is not geting dispalyed correctly.It is appearing as normat output text in the page,but not as an alert.

But I want to do some validations using javascript not only the required validation.
In my application 5 text fields and one command button are there .Depending upon combination of 2 or 3 text field values, I have to get the values when I pressed command button.
If I use the h:messages for validators,the conversion error is occurring when the text field takes wrong data.So it is going to give incorrect results when I press the command button.Thats why I am using javascript.
When user enters wrong data,I want to do validation using javascript and I want to display the alert message using resource bundle.

Need to display Information message in two lines - Alignment problem

Hi all,
In a screen program, I am trying to display an information/Confirmation message to confirm few things from user side. For this I am using POPUP_TO_CONFIRM FM. This FM enables me to display a text question.
My question would be "'New Price 400 is lesser than particular Product's Regular Price."
                                 "Do you want to continue and save the changes made?".
I am finding it difficult to align these two lines in the popup window.
I want to be displayed in two lines. Just like how it appears above.

Display error message from SLG1 on shopping cart screen

I have implemented a 'BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER' badi. I am adding all the custom error messages in ET_SC_MESSAGES export parameter of this badi. As a result of this, all the custom error messages added in the above parameter, gets logged in the application log SLG1 automatically and I can see those custom messages in SLG1. Now how to display this message from SLG1 on the shopping cart screen on the top where you normally see standard error messages in red.
Can anyone please help me on this?

Which SRM version are you using ?
I have not tried this... but I think this is not possible to display error messages
using BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER BADI.

how to display message " welcome to company name" in the sap logon screen.
while typing userid and password in the same screen (right hand side ) , i want to display welcome message.

If you want to give an error message on some processing you can raise the message in the event at selection-screen.
If you want to display information message also ,the same can be done in at selection screen
In case you want to do the processing selectively like only when the execute button is pressed, then you can do the processing based on SY-UCOMM. (value will be 'ONLI' )

Idoc failed with status 51 for Warning/Information messages

Hi All,
We are trying to create some Sales Orders with the help of Idocs. We are facing some problem as mentioned below.
1.There are some warning messages/information messages written in standard Sales Order User Exit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
2.As soon as the Idoc processing reaches any of these messages, it considers them as ERROR message and Idoc fails with the status as 51 which is not expected.
3.Also, I see that the Sales Order is saved with the data that has been passed in the Idoc.
Is this the standard behavior ?? (Or) Is there any EDI related configuration setting which can be used to suppress these kind of messages in Idoc Processing ??
Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

if your IDOC has status 51 then it is not posted, hence your sales order cannot be created from this IDOC. of course this error behaviour can be originated by the user exit.

Problem Displaying Struts Message - UIX

Hi,
I am using UIX, ADF Model and JDeveloper 10.1.2.0.0 (Build 1811)
I want to display some confirmation messages on a UIX Page -by example: delete successful or user XYZ added-
I already put the messages using the next code: (overwriting the findForward method)

After that I put a "MessageBox" on the UIX page but I am unable to display the messages...

Displaying error messages from application log

I am using the function module RV_DELIVERY_CREATE for creating delivery in my program. If the sy-subrc is not zero i.e if delivery is not created, i have to display error messages collected inside the application.How can i do this ?
The object nd subobject are existing in SLG0 but when i
tried to see the object and subobject in SLG1 transaction , no logs were found.
Do we need to activate the object and sunobject somewhere before logging can take place??

you need to save that log after creating and appending to it.
here is a code to save that log.
If log created, save to database

Is there any way to display information messages in a batch input session. Suppose I have a batch input session running on a particular transaction.If in a particular screen, I want to display an information message to the user that ' Particular sales order has been created on date xx'. It is not possible in the Batch input Session.
You can do it by <b>Call transaction</b>. But it not possible to give message at particular screen. Becuase we are only passing screen seq and data for the screen.

Display error message in WEBUI using BADI - ORDER_SAVE-CHECK_BEFORE_SAVE

I am trying to display error message using BADI - ORDER_SAVE (Method-CHECK_BEFORE_SAVE) based on certain conditions when the document is saved from WEB UI.
I have written it like below:
If (some conditions).
Message E000 with 'Error in SAVE' RAISING DO_NOT_SAVE.
endif.
I mentioned my message class everything in class, and it is fine.
However, it is not displaying my error message. It is displaying standard information message saying "Document Could not be saved'.
Could you please help me out, how can I display my custom message.

U can use FM to raise a message from order save badi.
Inside the if condition, u can raise do_not_save.

Display error message in BADI...

Hello Experts,
How do we throw an error message inside a BADI method? I am currently using BADI MRM_INVOICE_UPDATE
but when I check there are no exceptions or events to use or the message function like the one
found in ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST.
Please tell me on how to display an error message(E) inside the standard method of the BADI.

As explained in the above answer, in the documentation of this badi it says:
You should note that no system messages can be send in the methods. One exception here is the method CHANGE_AT_SAVE. Within this method, a system message can be issued if the exception ERROR_WITH_MESSAGE is triggered.
In order to issue a message you should do something like this:
MESSAGE e001(ZMESSAGECLASS) RAISING error_with_message.

How to display the information message in the end in BDC

I have been submitting a BDC for FB01, in a dialog program of mine.
The BDC gets executed successfully but it does not display the 'Documnet No....generated' information message in the end.
I have even written the following code in the BDC, after call transaction, to accomplish this, by assigning the value of genno (variable) to sy-msgv1, but it's not working.
