Unable to display page after database clone

We are currently running Application Express 4.02 using Oracle Web Logic on a Suse Linux 11 server. We had a new database set up for APEXPRD port 1542 that was working correctly with application express. We also had a database set up for APEXTST port 1542 (on a different database server). We removed the APEXPRD database from the database server using DBCA and then used OEM to clone the APEXTST instance to the production server. Our new database instance has the name APEXPRD with the port 1542. We have recycled all services on the APEX server but our APEX Production site no longer runs -- just getting unable to display page error 404. We checked our dads.conf file to ensure no changes were needed but everything appears correct there since the database name and port did not change.
Is there anything within the database or any other configuration files that I would need to change to get APEX to work after a database clone?

We got this resolved...We modified the dads.conf file to show the debug information in the browser window. From this we found where our cloned database had no temporary datafile. Once this datafile was created the APEX works correctly.

I am unable to open pages after recently having to get my hard drive replaced. I have a time machine that I could get the application/files off of, but when I try to open it it comes up with the message:
"Check with the developer to make sure Pages works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to re install the application. Be sure to install updates for the application and MAC OS X"
I have done all the software updates possible for both MAC OS and iworks compatibility, and nothing has worked. I do not have the original CD with me, so I cannot reinstall. Is there any other way to get the working version of the application off of my time machine?

Safari won't display page after loading

So the latest update of Safari is a few bricks short of a load...
On many pages, I get a blank page after Safari finishes loading them in. I thought it was internet problems, but when I resize the window even slightly, the content appears.
Obviously something not right...

From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab.
Deselect: Enable plugins.
Quit then relaunch Safari. If pages load as they should, folllow the instructions for troubleshooting.
Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
And check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If you have anti virus software installed, that could be the culprit also.

Unable to open E-business suite login page after database upgrade

I have successfully upgraded the 11i E-business suite database 10.2.0.3 to 11.1.0.7. After upgradation i have all services running on apps tier and database, but i cannot open the login page.

Unable to Load Page after extending a controller

Hi
I am working in controller extension. Now the issue which I am facing is while doing the controller extension.
While doing the extension I have mistakenly entered the wrong path for the custom package which will have the controller extension class.
Now after extending the main CO, when I am trying to load the page it is giving me an OA error. My intenstion was to personalize the page and instruct the controller extension to substitute the main controller.
Since I am not able to load the page, unable to configure the controller extension through page personalization. The page is not getting loaded and not allowing me to proceed further.
Please help me to resolve this issue. How can I get back to my original state of the page with the main controller.

another easy way to correct the mistakes in personalization.
1. using xmlExporter export the personalization..
2. correct the controller name in the xml file..
3. import the personalization using xmlImporter..

Any help would be welcome.

Hi David,
I don't think the fact that your database creation script probably doesn't match the original layout of the source database is causing this error. You should be able to load any dump into a database that is the same size as the source regardless of layout (assuming same page size, character set, sort order, etc). Matching the layout does make things "prettier" (log fragments end up on devices named "log...", etc, but the load should succeed and the database be functional regardless.
I agree with Jeff that the "with compression" option should be used in preference to the older "compress::" syntax. The "with compression" feature is more flexible as the dump header and trailer can be read, the dump can be made to a remote backupserver, etc.
There is a known bug on 16.0 that results in this 692 error, which is CR 764402. The error is specific to the use the "for load" option. I recommend that you drop the database and create it without using "for load"; the process will take longer as it initializes every page, but it will avoid the bug. A fix for the bug is expected in the 16.0 SP00 PL04 release (I don't have an expected date for it, but should be fairly near future).

Viewer unable to display page when too many parameters are selected.

I have a report that the user can select multiple parameter values. When the user selects too many values and clicks the "Apply Parameters" button, the page will not display. Is there a formatting issue/bug? Is there a way to overcome this?
It does not appear to be a specific number. Instead, it seems that the page will only display when the number of values selected fit on two lines or less on the web page that displays the report results.

Safari unable to load page after iPad wakes from sleep

I have my WiFi iPad running 4.2.1. Whenever the iPad goes to sleep, when I wake it to access Safari, Safari cannot load a page or reload a page. It says the page cannot be accessed and times out. I always have to go to settings and turn the wifi off and back on. Is there some way to resolve this issue with iPad's Safari?

Application server refused to display page(Closed Connection)

According to company policy Oracle database is being shut down at 9pm and start up at 6am. Sun application server refuses to display page after the start up of database. when i check log the error message i got is

I have the same problem with SJSAS 9.0 on XP. The solution provided above worked perfectly on SJSAS 9.0 on windows 2000 and 2003 server but i discovered that on SJSAS 9.0 on XP connected to netbeans, anytime exception occurs, it revert back to the old settings of connection pool which does not use table validation.
