Unable to downlad ebook E_ADEPT_INTERNAL

I purchased a ebook and when trying to download I got the above error as "Error getting license. License server communication problem. E_ADEPT_INTERNAL". I could download it on one laptop. But I had to change the laptop. Cannot download to the new laptop. Although this happens to only one e-book. I am able to download another e-book. Any help appreciated.

If due to some reason, you are unable to deauthorize ADE, follow the below steps:
Mac:
Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.
ADE will be deauthorized now.
Now Authorize ADE again.
Windows:
Choose Start > Run.
In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.
In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept
Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.
In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.
ADE will be deauthorized now.
Now Authorize ADE again.

why unable to download ebooks from library?

Didn' t rip the music.  It was music I loaded from purchased cd's.  It is loaded on my iPod.  However, when I tried to sync my iPad from my music library, it indicates that the original source of the music cannot be located.  So how do I get these some 500+ songs on my iPad?

  • Unable to download ebook to Galaxy tablet

I have authorized my Galaxy 2 tablet, however, lately I cannot download an ebook.  I went online with my PC to verify my adobe id and find I have no reader registered there.  I tried to register the galaxy with the serial number and keep getting the response: please enter serial number (the input was the correct number) What can I do?

Thank you - I actually got it to work by downloading and using Firefox!

  • Unable to access ebooks any longer with adobe digital edition

unable to access ebooks any longer with adobe digital edition ..instead i keep getting the error message ''unable to access ebooks any longer with adobe digital edition''

Not seen that message before, but two standard suggestions that may help.
    1) ~~~~~
Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help.
Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.
A common incorrect message informs you that the ID is already in use on another computer and cannot be reused.
This can often be resolved by completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to the Library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your (old) Adobe ID.
In extreme cases on the mac, the following extra step has helped some people.  Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash. If you are using 10.7, see Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 Lion. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1265248?tstart=0

There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0 (and 2.0.1).  Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-editions/kb/cant-install-digital-editions.html
The forum software is sometimes corrupting the link above.  There shouldn't be a blank in 'editio ns.html'.  The following redirects to the same page: http://tinyurl.com/diged172
Some people have found ADE trying to upgrade automatically.
It appears (not 100% sure) that if you install ADE2.0 as a new install (not as an upgrade) that your 1.7.2 will continue to run.
Probably best to say no if 2.0.x installation asks if you want to migrate your library.

  • Since changing our computer I have been unable to download ebooks to my Reader Library I get a message Some file types associated with EPUB files are not associated with Reader Library; Waterstones suggest that I may have accidentally created a new Adobe

When I try to download them from the Waterstones website I get a message saying:
‘Some file types associated with EPUB files are not associated with Reader Library.  Do you want to associate them now?  When I reply yes I get another message; ‘Configuration error unable to update EPUB files check network firewall and try again’.
The ‘books’ are saved in the Download directory and I can’t transfer them from there to my E-Reader. I have not had any problems before, it was very simple; I saved the download and it automatically went into the Reader Library.
I contacted HP and they said it is a software error and suggested I contact Waterstones.  I contacted Waterstones Customer Support and got the following response:
As the error message is specifically mentioning the firewall it does sound like something in the firewall settings is stopping the download from taking place correctly. However, the files should not be being saved to the Download folder. It would be worth trying again by going to your Digital Order History on your Waterstones.com account and pressing the download button, and then making sure to press "Open" not "Save". When you press Open rather than Save it should give the option to open the file with Adobe Digital Editions. If the firewall message still comes up then I'm afraid something is blocking it on your end.
If the above "Open" download method works but you then still get an error message it could possibly be that you have accidentally created a new Adobe ID when setting up on the new computer, rather than signing in with your old Adobe ID. It would be worth trying the aforementioned download technique again first, but if problems did still persist it would be worth calling Adobe themselves on 0207 365 0735, as they should be able to sort out any account issue.
In response to the first para of Waterstones email I already do what they suggest I do press ‘Open’ not ‘Save’ but I don’t get the open with Adobe Digital Editions (we have installed Adobe Digital Editions on the new computer. Waterstones say we may have ‘accidentally created a new Adobe ID when setting up the new computer’ does that mean that we shouldn’t have installed Adobe Digital Editions on the new computer as it would have already been there? How do I sign in with my old Adobe ID?

Hi all after attampting to get some supoport from adobe by phone.... nice people infurating policys as far as support for digital editions or DRM is conserned... However I got no where with support.
I ended up instaling Digital editions on my desktop PC and going through the motions of registering and borrowing a book then returning it. Then I trying on my iPad, Bluefire worked, Over drive did not so I completely removed Overdrive and reinstalled and re registered. all working now.
Maybe some one at adobe did something. Maybe the install of the adobe DE client on a PC corrected what ever was out of wack with my account. Mayby the server that my account lives on did a scan disk and corrected a bad clustrer.
What ever happend My account is actiove and working again. hope this helps others.

  • Unable to transfer eBook

I purchased and have been using an eBook using Adobe Digital Editions without any problems on my windows computer.  I recently bought a macbook and I installed Digital Editions on it.  I activated it using the same email address I was using before.  But when I try to open the pdf it says "Document is not licensed for this device type.".  Redownloading the book from http://ebooks.primisonline.com gives me the same error.
I use this book a lot for work and I really need to be able to access it quickly.  Can someone help?

Expanding on Jim's comments: for EPUB type books, the publisher decides how
many copies you can have or share, and whether or not you can copy or print
it.  If you use ADE in Library view, you will notice an arrow (drop down
box) in the upper left hand corner of the book's avatar.  If you click on
it, you will see a tab labelled 'Item Info'.  When you click on this tab, it
will show you the location of the ebook on your computer and the publisher's
permissions.  It's useful information if you have any thoughts of
transferring an ebook or trying to print some portion of it.
    Hope this helps!

  • Computer stolen, authorized a new computer, unable to open ebooks

I would really appreciate your help.My computer got stolen, so I am burrowing my daughter's computer untill I buy a new one.
In the meanhtime I wanted to read my ebooks bought from Millsand Boon. I authorized the computer I am now using but the following message pops up :
    Error getting license
    License server communication problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER
So I uninstalled the adobe as instructed and reinstalled twice and each time the adobe gives me the message that the computer is authorized but still the same message pops up whenever I try to download my ebooks.
    What can I do??

Uninstalling and reinstalling won't do any good.  When an ebook is
downloaded, a small tag file is appended to it containing information about
when it was downloaded and to what devices.  This information is used when
the ebook is opened to check against the current computer.  If they do not
match, you'll get the error you have.
I'm not sure you want to do anything about this until you get a replacement
computer that will be yours.  At that time, after you set it up and download
ADE, contact the ebook seller, explain your tale of woe, then ask them to
    let you download another copy.
In the meantime, I understand your frustration.  There's not much else you
    can do.

  • Unable to transfer ebooks on my binatone anymore

Can anyone explain why i cannot transfer ebooks from my laptop to my binatone anymore. I was able to do it  march 2014.

The issue is with the way - and the user ID - that B&N uses when you
transfer ebooks from their site.  Each ebook has a small file with data
about it and where it came from , including the user ID.  That user ID is
different from the one that Adobe expects to find, and ADE won't do
anything with them.  So, the answer to at least a part of your question is
that, when you download purchased ebooks from B&N, you cannot transfer them
to your computer via ADE because they were downloaded with a different user
ID.  This frustrating situation is due in part to the digital rights that
have been implemented under the Digital Millenium Copyright Act of 2000 by
B&N.  ADE just follows the rules.....
B&N people you spoke with were incorrect in saying that this is Adobe's
problem - they assign the digital rights and implement them through their
    software.

  • Unable to transfer ebooks to my sony prs 505

Since I bought my new laptop with windows 8 I have had unsolvable problems and can still not transfer an ebook to my sony prs 505. I am having assertion failure, port error messages and licensing error messages. Can I please talk to someone over the phone so I can describe what is happening. The last time someone helped me by sharing my computer I had 190 talk windows that I had to close manually.

    Chris,
This is a known issue that happens once in awhile, and honestly it isn't good news.
What it means, basically, is that due to an -extremely- obscure issue with the activation server, the ID you've used to authorize ADE 1.5 is corrupted (on our end, at the server). We have been trying to figure this out for awhile now, with little success.
You'll need to de-authorize and then re-authorize with a NEW adobeID:
    1. Launch Digital Editions 1.5
    2. Enter the key-combination of Cmd-Shift-D (Mac OS X) or Ctrl-Shift-D (Windows)
    3. At the dialog, confirm that you wish to de-activate the machine
    4. Quit Digital Editions
    5. Restart ADE, and re-authorize with a NEW AdobeID. It doesn't have to be your Adobe support account ID, it can be anyhting that you can remember.
Now, at this point I'm not sure if your existing ebooks will automatically be re-migrated to the new account. I'm checking with Engineering to find out..

  • My Adobe ID is activated was activated on a previous built of my computer, which I had to rebuilt, now I am unable to redownload ebooks, as they are associated with the previous PC built, nor will the Adobe Activation allow me to reactivate with my adobe

    Can anyone help?

    Hi,
Just an update - I'm now attempting to do a full system restore from the time machine back to before I ununstalled PSE9.
    Wish me luck....!
(meanwhile, downloading Gimp 2.8 on my PC to see if I can do what I need with that in the meantime!!)
    Thanks,
    Aaron.

  • Error message "unable to open [ebook title]. No record for this loan is found on this machine."

any information about this error message please?

That was no use at all. I am not trying to transfer it from one PC to another. I am trying to read it on the machine on which it was downloaded, and failing.
Incidentally, the library gives the option 'Read in Browser'. That works. Downloading it does not.

  • My local library. They have been unable to find problem. can U?

recently my Sweetwater,Tx city-county likbrary has been unable to lend ebooks.  They can not find anyone who can fix it. When I go to theoverdrive & select a e- bookl, I then select my local libraty, but it shows a different library.

Overdrive app is convenient but not always very reliable.  Try the following; less convenient but should work ...
See if you can borrow books on a regular computer by downloading the .acsm file from the library using a standard web browser interface.
Then use ADE to convert the book to DRM .epub, and then copy the book to the device.  To copy:
for ereader device, it should show in left pane of ADE; drag/drop within ADE
for Android or Windows device, it will show as mounted drive in file manager (Windows Explorer, Mac Finder); copy it using the file manager
for ios device, you need to go via iTunes or Dropbox or email it to yourself (Apple likes to make use of their devices as awkward as possible)
If it works outside Overdrive but not within it, contact Overdrive (or get the library to).

  • 5th gen ipod is connected and seen on itunes yet will not sync

My 5th gen ipod-nano is connected - visual and accessible on new version of itunes (using PC, running Win 7) yet will not sync. This only started happening after the last update from apple and I have spent HOURS trying to figure out how to fix including removing all apple apps and software and reinstalling 6 times now!!! Even when a diagnoses is run it shows my ipod is connected yet when I try to sync.. it tells me that disk is not found?

Well, nothing has worked yet.  Same Itunes account.  When I try to download from the App Store app on the touch, I downloads all the way to the end of the loading... installing phases. then says, "Unable to Downlad Application: app will be available for download when you log in to the Itunes Store on your computer."
But Itunes on the computer will do the same thing... load it all the way up, then give an error code of OxE8003FFE.
I tried restoring the Ipod, so now it only has the factory apps, music, videos, and no apps.  And I can't add even one app.

  • The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again.

installed eBook and authorized on Adobe Digital Edition and was able to read eBook earlier.
Due to some issue I had to reinstall the eBook. Now I am unable to read eBook it is asking for Authorization and when I input my Adobe ID and pass it gives message 'The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open .Try again'.
I have wasted whole day trying fixing but it does not work, i wasted my money for purchasing eBook that works on Adobe Digital Edition which only adds complexity and wasting peoples time.
Is there anyone who can help answering how can I fix vendor account not associated message issue, while i am entering correct Adobe ID and pass.

  • CANNOT USE ADOBE READER

I downladed the latest version of the free Adobe Reader. However, I am unable to downlad any PDF documents from any websites. What can I do?

    Hi ,
If you are unable to download a file then it has nothing to do with Adobe Reader . After downloading , if you are unable to view or open the file , then it is an issue with Adobe Reader.
Please check in your downloads folder , if the file is downloaded or not .
Try changing your browser to download the file properly first.
