  • Unable to download BBM

    Hi all,
Today i tried to update my BBM to 7.0 but after installation BBM got disappeared from my device. Then i deleted it from applications and rebooted the device. But now when i try to download BBM from its site or application world only newest version of BBM i.e BBM 7.0 is available which is not supported in INDIA.
So its not of any use to me.Kindly help me in getting the older version of BBM. If possible pls. provide a link from where i can download earlier version of BBM & install on my device.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi dheerajtyagi
The recent version of BBM7 is still not available for India because of some advanced feature it has  ,I think have to wait untill another version or the recent version of BBM is pushed to Indian users from app world  ,I guess within a few days.
If you are unable to download any version then if you have your device OS pack installed on your PC ,then connect and open BlackBerry Desktop software to add the BBM version which comes with the OS pack.but if you don't have OS installed then you can download the OS pack from your Carrier from here Carriers . download and install the same OS bundle as you have on your device.

PDF files can be easily viewed as an attachment to an email.
If you are wanting to view a PDF file downloaded to your Media Card, you will need a third party application, such as PDFtoGO, BeamReader or Repligo. Google will find any of those three for you.
    Good luck.

  • Hindi Language in Blackberry 8520 Curve

    Hi there,
I am unable to see hindi posts/fonts on blackberry 8520 curve.
Please assist me how to get this done.
    Regards

Its a mere perception that Blackberry 8520 Version 5.xx doesn't support Hindi or Indic fonts.
Visit the following url from your Blackberry handset having operating system version 5.0 and above, including old Blackberry device 8520
    http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/23613317/A_HindiFont/hindifont4bb.jad
     dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/23613317/A_HindiFont/hindifont4bb.jad
    Download hindifont4bb.jad file
You can download the Indic font for Blackberry and install it. You will be able read and write Hindi characters on your handset.
    Please confirm if it works.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Shivshankar

  • I need a clean OS reload (with /nojvm) on my 8520 curve but Apploader doesn't detect any OS.

First of all thanks in advance.
I have a 8520 Curve and whenever it turns on the white loading bar appears and it gets stuck (for hours upon hours) on 2/3.
When I try to update the Device software from the official site it ALWAYS gets stuck at "reconnecting to jvm". Even when I start the installation with the battery pulled out.
So I figured I should manually use the AppLoader with the /nojvm option.
I installed DM7 and the version of the OS corresponding to my vendor but my problem is when I use loader.exe it NEVER recognizes ANY software/OS and there is nothing to install.
I tried downloading different versions of the OS or versions of other vendors in my area. I even tried deleting all vendor.xml files but still nothung.
Any advice solution would be welcome please feel free to ask for any additional information
edit1: during the installation of any OS on my desktop I get an error message saying
"Error 1406.COuld not write value Flags to key \Software\Research In Motion\AppLoader\SearchPaths\{hexadecimal nuber that varies}.Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
I have administrator privillages and I can edit the registry manually too.
edit2: If I click  "add" on the apploader and select any .alx file from those installed on my system I get a message saying that the application isn't supported from my device.

    1) Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    2) On your PC, go to Start > Run and copy and paste the following line exactly (meaning with the quotation marks):
    "c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm
    3) The Application Loader Wizard will appear -- click "Next."
    4) In the "Connection:" drop-down menu, you should see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN". Click the "Next" button.
    5) You should then see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to life. Congrats! Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish completely.
NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's Operating System for your carrier and device.
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate carrier and network type, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the above steps again and you should be on the right path.

  • Downloading BBM 5.0 on an Email Plan - Please Help!

I was wondering how you can download the newest version of BBM to my Curve 8330.
I am with the Bell network on an email plan so I do NOT have browser on my phone, so I can not download it the normal way. My software is v4.5.0.127.
Is there anyway I can download the new BBM to my computer and then install it on my blackberry? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If you only have an email plan, no general BlackBerry Data Plan, you'll not be able to use BBM anway.
Don't waste your time. BBMessenger uses the data plan to connect... without the correct data plan, there's no need for you to isntall BBM.

  • Unable to download any applications through BB App World

    Hi!!
I have been facing a problem on the BB App World front. Each time I try to download any application through the BB App World it takes me to the Download tab in green but after I click the tab nothing happens.
As a result I am unable to download any application on my Blackberry.
Please help me resolve the issue.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I suggest that you clear the AppWorld application cache:
    1. Open App World
    2. Go to My World
    3. Follow one (and only one!) of these steps:
3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T
3b. For Touch Screen Only BBs -- Hold the num-lock (!?123) button so it locks and then press, in sequence 3, then 4, then (
    3c. For newer (e,g., OS6 and 7) BB's, see this KB:
KB24714 How to clear the BlackBerry App World cache
    4. AppWorld should close.
    5. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot
    6. Return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it may be sluggish while it re-synchronizes).
If step (4) does not happen as listed, then the clear cache did not work.
Hopefully it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

  • Cannot access my internet browser on 8520 curve

    Please cannot someone help me.
Over the past two days I have not been able to access my brower (8520 curve), can someone please explain why? I can enter a www address but it just reads "loading", the little black box in the top right corner flashes then stops, disappears and nothing else happens.  I end up closing it the browser down.
I would be very grateful if someone could help.
    Thanks.

    Hi there!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
    1) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
    2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your carrier for formal support.

  • Keypad problem for 8520 curve model

    Dear Blackberry team,
I had purchased of blackberry mobile model no. 8520-curve for 2 may'12. After 10 days my Keypad is not working.
I have  send the mobile for authorized service centre in lucknow name is Redington. He has return to mobile after 1 month without repair and send the massage liquid problem.
I have pay to charge 220/- but i am sure that is not a liquid problem may  be  create in other problem.
Request to you,Kindly help me because I have suffering is very big problem.
    bhogendramishra

    Hi bhogendra75,
    Welcome to the Community,
I agree with your concern but if an authorize service center says so then there is a little chance of getting it on road,But if you still think that there is no liquid damage then you can try a few things to reassure yourself, and I also think that there is no problem in trying,So we can just try for that have a look :
1.First make sure you have your backup.
2.KB02318 : How to delete all the data or all data and applications on a BlackBerry Smartphone.
3.Installing OS on your device :
    Credit sdgardne :
    1) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    2) Download BB Desktop Software  BlackBerry desktop software
    3) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:Carriers ( but make sure it is of the same device model)
    4) If that OS package is from a carrier other than the carrier for which your BB was originally manufactured, then delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    5) Launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC. If, during the process, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
    Don't forget to backup.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:
KB19915How to perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software
Try it and let us know
    Good Luck
