Unable to Download Digital Edition

I just bought an ebook and need to download Digital Edition to read it, but am unable to download.
I clicked on the DOWNLOAD NOW link, but get an error loading the page message :

How do I download digital editions to a tablet with Windows 8.1?

Is this a full Windows 8.1 tablet, in which case the standard Windows download page should be fine?
Or a Windows RT tablet, in which case ADE will not run. In that case, try

"Unable to find 'Digital Editions' Folder"

Hi everybody,
I tried several times to install, uninstall, reinstall, etc. Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.1.
Unfortuately, the result is each time the same : I get a box telling (in French) "Unable to find 'Digital Edition' Folder".
I created manually a "Digital Editions" and a "My Digital Editions" folders in the "My Documents" (or Documents?) folder in Vista (in fact, my D: HD).
I did the same in the User\Me\Documents Folder, just in case.
The software is still unable to locate the desired folder.
I searched the program folder and did not find any config file such as an .ini file to give me any information.
I searched the registry and did not find any entry to tell me where that folder could be.
And, there is no preference menu in the software to manually choose a "Digital Edition Folder"
So, does it mean that software will never work on my computer?
Is there anything I can do to make it work?

When i download digital editions any version, we enter run then we get splash window and get no furthe

I have found out that the reason I cannot download digital editions 2 to my pc is because I have Vista. I cannot find out how to download the earlier edition 1.7.2 Please could any one help

YOu can also use Bluefire Reader for reading books that need an Adobe ID. There are several ways to transfer a book to your iPad. One way is to email the acsm file, open the email on the iPad, and "Open in ... ". Another way is to use an app like Dropbox. The third way is to connect your iPad to your computer, open iTunes, select the iPad, and under Settings select Apps. Scroll down to the File Sharing apps, select the app you want the book on, on the right select Add, navigate to where the book is on your computer, and select it. Open the app on your iPad and it should load.

Unable to install Digital Editions 2.0. It was successfully installed and working but stopped doing

Digital Edition 2.0 has stopped working and after uninstalling and re-installing it several times I am unable to get it to work. The message I receive is " Digital Editions 2.0 is not working ." Any suggestions as how to reinstall it successfully ? Thanks

Try using a newer version.
On your Android and iPad devices only DL reader will work for now.

Where to download Digital Editions SDK 1.7.2 for MAC

Digital Editions SDK 1.7.2 is supposed to be available. However, when I download the SDK from the developer center I get version 1.7.1.
Someone knows where to find 1.7.2?
1.7.1 does not work with Mac OSX 10.7, but the installer here seems to work, so I would guess 1.7.2 will..

Be careful when you do the download. There are known compatibility issues
with Lion. Snow Leopard works fine.

ADE does not put any minimum OS version restriction as such.
But you can try installing older version (ADE 3.0) from Adobe Digital Editions downloads.

Win 7 has given many people some 'issues'. There are postings to the forum
that point out you have to set your security so that it will allow
downloads from certain sites, and I seem to recall that these settings need
to recognize Adobe as a source and allow it through the firewall. Wish I
had the exact post, but I do not. But I'd bet a search on Windows 7 will
pull up some more information.

I'm unable to activate Adove Digital Edition.
From the activation screen, after I enter my adobe ID and password,
it gives me the following error:

Unable to authorise digital editions

I use digital editions to read books from my public library. Suddenly when it was downloading a borrowed book it gave my an error as follows: "Connection error detected - Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server. Please make sure you are connected to the Internet". The internet is fine so I uninstalled Digital Editions and re-installed it. When I tried to authorize it it gave me the same error as above. I contacted my library who said I should switch my firewall off and try again. Did this and unfortunately it didn't help. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

OK- I was given the answer by a user on another forum, For anyone else - I must have had some kind of information on the PC that made Adobe think I had an activation already (despite the fact that I've never used Digitial Editions before) so running the "erase authorisation" first did the trick, seems you need to do this the first time you setup an account even if you haven't had an account before.
