    unable to download a pdf file using acrobat reader X. received message-there is a proble with program with acrobat reader 103-103.

  • I am unable to download certain PDFs from a website

    My job requires me to log on to a secure website and click on links to download pdf files. When I click on the links, the firefox opens a new tab, but that tab is blank. When I "right click" on the link and select "save link as" from the menu, the file is recognized as a php file and not pdf and I am unable to download it in a readable form. I have tried opening these files in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari and none of them work. However, the files download for other people with the same version of Mac as me without a problem.
    I have tried changing the preference for PDF to Adobe Reader in the preference>application window as suggested by other online forums and this does not help.
    I am able to download these same files from an email attachment which has been the temporary solution. Other pdf links from other websites don't download, but pop-up in a tab of the browser and I am able to view them. The IT guy said that he made the file so that it could only be downloaded for security reasons. I don't know if this is a reason why I am having problems with this particular kind of pdf, but not others. However, I'm not sure why I am having the problem, but not other people.
    I have a MacBook Pro version 10.6.8 and I have firefox 21.0. My Adobe Reader is 11.0.03.

    In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:
    #From the Firefox window click the Firefox button at the top left and select ''Add-ons'', or, if the Firefox button is not shown, click the ''Tools'' menu and click ''Add-ons''.
    #Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the ''Extensions'' button on the left side of the window.
    #You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
    #To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the ''Remove'' button on PDF Viewer (what is this?). You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
    #Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the ''Restart now'' link in the message.
    You can find further information about uninstalling extensions in the following articles:
    [[Disable or remove Add-ons]]

  • Unable to Download a PDF

    I cannot download a PDF and open it from the internet--not with Adobe Acrobat Pro X nor Adobe Reader even when the file is from Adobe.  I don't get it.  I am using iMac with Mountain Lion OS (10.8.2).   I reviewed the Preferences but I don't see any topic related to this.  I'm ready to download a file from Adobe and cannot.  If I close the window I don't know if I will have a second opportunity for the download Market Intelligence Report: "Enterprise Social Media Management Software". I have block popups checked with the exception of www.adobe.com and success.adobe.com (but even unchecking that does not make a difference).

    Download the file with your web browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome). Then attempt to open the PDF file in Reader or Acrobat.

  • I am unable to download a pdf document onto my MAC from a Canadian government website

    I'm having trouble downloading a pdf document from a canadian govenrment website (I'm on MAC) in spite of having installed the latest version of Adobe reader.  Any ideas?

    When I go to:
    Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit (CPTC) - Arts and Cultural Industries - Arts and Culture
    www.gc.ca/cptc/forms
    and attempt to download the 'Breakdown of Costs (Live Action)'
    I am not able to do so
    Rather I get a message saying that if I'm having trouble I should download the latest version of Adobe Reaer to my MAC, which I've done & confirmed that it's in fact installed
    I still can't download the required form
    They said I should contact Adobe.com if I'm having trouble.

  • My PDF -- Word conversion made everything into an "image" and not text

    I recently got the Acrobat exporter in order to work on an assignment, the PDF file was originally a word document (not mine!) with text boxes around an image.  Now, exported back into a word document, I cannot edit the text boxes.
    What do I do?

  • Unable to download PDF files

    Hello,
    I have installed on my desktop computer the following products: Adobe AIR, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Flash Player 15 ActiveX, and Adobe Reader XI (11.0.10).  However, I am unable to download the PDF files that I need to use for work.  On my laptop, I have these exact programs and I don't have any problems downloading the PDF files I need on there.  Is there something obvious that I may be missing that is keeping me from downloading the files I need on my desktop?
    Thanks,
    Kala

    This is resolved. I discovered that Abode Reader was not set as my default PDF reader.  All documents were being sent to Microsoft Word, and it could not open them.

  • How to download a .pdf file from a JavaMail application?

    hi to all,
    iam unable to download a .pdf file from a mailserver using
    my javamail application.i have downloaded all kind of files except .pdf.
    my code snipnet:
    public static void dumpPart(Part p) throws Exception {
    //     if (p instanceof Message)          dumpEnvelope((Message)p);
              System.out.println("CONTENT-TYPE: " + p.getContentType());
              Object o = p.getContent();
              if (o instanceof String) {
                   System.out.println("This is a String");
                   System.out.println((String)o);
                   } else if (o instanceof Multipart) {
                        System.out.println("This is a Multipart");
                        Multipart mp = (Multipart)o;
                        int count = mp.getCount();
    System.out.println("****************************************");
    System.out.println("count" + count);
    System.out.println("****************************************");
                        for (int i = 0; i < count; i++){
                             System.out.println("CONTENT-TYPE: " + p.getContentType());
                             dumpPart(mp.getBodyPart(i));
                        } else if (o instanceof InputStream) {
                             System.out.println("This is just an input stream");
                             InputStream is = (InputStream)o;
                             String filename=System.currentTimeMillis()+".exe     ";
                             FileOutputStream fos=new FileOutputStream(filename);
                             int c;
                             while ((c = is.read()) != -1)
                                  //System.out.write(c);
                                  fos.write((char)c);
    }//dumpPart
    what's wrong with this code?
    Nagaraju.G

    fos.write((char)c);Converting the byte to a char is unnecessary and probably harmful. Just do this: fos.write(c);

    Hi stanleyc93647247,
    Are you able to download other PDF files? What browser are you using to download the file? Have you tried a different browser? If you're using Firefox or Chrome, please see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html
    If you're unable to download any PDF files, consider reinstalling Reader.

  • Unable to download my resume to a job application.

    When I browse, attach my PDF resume to a job application, it shows an error, unable to download your PDF resume. It is password protected.

    Hi,
    Where are you trying to download your resume?
    If you are trying to download it from Acrobat.com then the file should be downloaded to your local drive. However you need a password to open the PDF file if the PDF file was encrypted with open password.
    Thank you.
