Unable to download into Lightroom

I downloaded photos from several memory cards into Lightroom. Half came in without issue, the others can be seen in low res format and need the original file to be found and re-linked. This is very tedious. When I tried to download again, all photos are grayed out because they likely have duplicates. I am unable to download. Any suggestions? Many thanks.

Hi Jim, I have had Lightroom 3 since it came out and have always used raw and had a full preview of all the photos held in the camera, this is what I can,t understand.

Are these raw images or JPEG images? If they are raw images are you using the sRaw feature? I don't know if your model has that option. Just looking for possibilities.

You can try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app, click the arrow to the left of it, click the 'Report a Problem' button :
and then the 'Report a Problem' link on its line :
and select 'inadvertently purchased' as the problem and fill in the details (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).

Xcelsius file unable to download into Powerpoint

Hi,
When using the PP icon or the File -> Export -> Powerpoint slide path to download my Xcelsius file into PP, it opens the PP application, but never loads anything.
Any answers as to why this happens?

Problems downloading RAW files into Lightroom 4 from a 70D camera.

I had a canon rebel xsi and had been able to download my RAW files to lightroom 4. However, I have recently bought a 70D and is won't download into Lightroom 4. I have been told that Lightroom 4 doesn't support the 70D and I have to upgrade to Lightroom 5. Is this correct, or can I get some kind of plug in? Also if Lightroom 5 how much would it be for me to upgrade, is an "upgrade" cheaper to someone who has already got Lightroom 4.

Once you buy LR 5 you can install any of the LR 5.x versions where LR 5.7 just came out and supports the newest cameras, like the Nikon D750 or Canon 7D Mark II along with all earlier models.
It would be wise to download and install the LR 5.7 as a trial and make sure it works for you before buying the upgrade. The minimum OS is 10.7 and Win 7, I think, so if you’re on XP or Vista or OS X 10.6 then you’re out of luck.
The various version of LR are available on the Adobe Updates site: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
They will run in trial mode for 30 days or until you enter appropriate serial numbers.

Unable to download apps from CC.

I've talked to my IT department regarding allowing CC but they refuse to make an exception. I have piad for more than 3 months worth of CC and am still unable to download Photoshop, Lightroom etc. due to IT issues. Is it possible to receive hard software or alternative download in order to install the programs?

Cannot import pictures into Lightroom 5.6

I have not been able to download into Lightroom lately. I took a course on LR and the only thing I remember changing is that I imported into a subfolder on my desktop. The next time I downloaded, I unchecked that box and expected it to download as always. Now, Lightroom "imports" my RAW photos in about 15 seconds and an "Import Results" box pops up with the following message: "Some import operations were not performed. The following files were not imported because they could not be read. (133)" So my 133 photos are still on my camera. Any help would certainly be appreciated. Thank you

Are your screenshots from two separate imports or why is one count twice+1 the other?
I mean your options are New Photos not All Photos so it would seem like there should only be 133 New Photos on the first screenshot. Maybe it wasn't finished looking for duplicates when you made the screenshot?

Can you use a different computer and see if you can move them to the computer's hard disk there?
This is starting to sound like a hardware problem, specifically you may have a bad camera card.

I checked and it does not appear in the Applications folder.
I tried yesterday on an ethernet connection with a download speed of 2 Mbps but, unfortunately the connection died(It happened from the ISP end, which is out of my control) in between after which there was no trace of the download that happened for so long(till the internet connection death).
One more serious query which I am unable to understand. If the internet connection, dies in the midst of the download is in progress why is it so that the state does not persist and one has to restart the entire process again. Is there no solution for this?
I tried so many times and its the same case after some amount of download it vanishes. So many unsuccessful attempts. I am ****** off now. Is it not possible to see Mavericks? Why does different machines of Apple behave differently? Somewhere it goes smoothly and somewhere like my mine. Why did not Apple release a non apple store version? Is this not a bad sign of letting the users struggle when something is being offered for free?
The reason I asked as whether we can download the .app of Mavericks is that, there are so many applications that I have downloaded web and have installed. All that works fine. Can't we do the same here? You download a copy of Mavericks installer application and upload it for me in Google drive or like online storage places which can be downloaded and used by me? Make sure you enter your new Id in settings/message, settings/facetime. ANy content that you downloaded with the old ID is forever linked to that old ID and if you have apps that were downloaded with the old ID and you want to update them you can only do that with the old ID. You could delete those apps and downlad them again ( and pay for them if they are not free apps)

Since i did the new update on firefox (8-14?) I am unable to download pdfs from a website into my downloads folder. When I choose to view a pdf in a window, I get a blank window with the urlxxxx. pdf in the top...but a blank window. This is a change in the functioning of my browser since the update... i have changed nothing on preferences or anything
I am able to download pdf's into my downloads folder from safari, but really don't want to change all my bookmarks etc from firefox to start using safari. Am on a Mac OS 10.7.4
