When I browse, attach my PDF resume to a job application, it shows an error, unable to download your PDF resume. It is password protected.

Where are you trying to download your resume?
If you are trying to download it from Acrobat.com then the file should be downloaded to your local drive. However you need a password to open the PDF file if the PDF file was encrypted with open password.

You will not be able to do this with Safari, but there are some third party browsers that contain document storage. iCab Mobile is worth looking into:

I just bought a subscription but when I went to download Premiere, the Application Manager popped up but there wasnt an option to download it on there. I just went and double checked that I have Adobe Reader, Flashplayer, AIR and Shockplayer already downloaded. Am I missing something else?

The Adobe Application Manager will not display applications which your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements to run. This is the likely reason why you do not see the program listed within AAM.

Not knowing the format/design of the employer's website, it's difficult to know.
Why not send your resume via regular mail or email. Just fill out the application the way the employer wants you to.

You can always finish the downloads in iTunes on your computer and then the TV Shows to the iPad. Launch iTunes and go to Store>Check for available downloads. Finish the downloads and then sync the iPad.
As far as trying to finish the downloads on the iPad .....
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to download again.

Download bar not moving for hours and unable to pause or resume

i'm trying to download a trial vsn of AE 5.5. i have installed the download assitant application, however, when i start the dowload nothing happens at all. it claims it is in the download queue and i can see it in the queue, however, it's progress bar does not move at all or give me an indication as to how long it is going to download. i am also unable to pause or resume it ?
any help most welcome.

My iPhoto download is stuck. To the right, there is a greyed-out "Pause" button, and to the left of that, the word "Waiting".
I tried putting the iPhoto download into the Trash (from the Applications folder) but it won't stay in the trash - just keeps popping back into the folder.
Have looked all over online and tried lots of things but no luck. I don't even know where to ask.

(P.S. This all happened after a disaster: My hard drive crashed while downloading Yosemite - hard drive was only six months old. Replaced hard drive and now in process of restoring things.)

Go to the LaunchPad and cancel the download - trash the iPjhtoo application and reinstall from the App store

I am unable to download certain PDFs from a website

My job requires me to log on to a secure website and click on links to download pdf files. When I click on the links, the firefox opens a new tab, but that tab is blank. When I "right click" on the link and select "save link as" from the menu, the file is recognized as a php file and not pdf and I am unable to download it in a readable form. I have tried opening these files in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari and none of them work. However, the files download for other people with the same version of Mac as me without a problem.
I have tried changing the preference for PDF to Adobe Reader in the preference>application window as suggested by other online forums and this does not help.
I am able to download these same files from an email attachment which has been the temporary solution. Other pdf links from other websites don't download, but pop-up in a tab of the browser and I am able to view them. The IT guy said that he made the file so that it could only be downloaded for security reasons. I don't know if this is a reason why I am having problems with this particular kind of pdf, but not others. However, I'm not sure why I am having the problem, but not other people.
I have a MacBook Pro version 10.6.8 and I have firefox 21.0. My Adobe Reader is 11.0.03.

In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:

Hi Jen. My daughter just compleated her nursing program and is now working as a full time nurse. Focus and study hard and soon you will be there too. Now to the problem at hand. I have the same problem. I gave up on it and satisfied myself with my iPod without the upgrade. Reason being I've read so many posts of people having problems after the upgrade. But I'm sure other factors are involved. Nevertheless here is the fix most say works to solve the problem: What ever virus protection you have installed on your computer, disable it. Then try to install the update. After that enable the protection. I had Kaspersky, and it does it's job well. The thinking is, the virus protection is blocking the upgrade. Hope this works. Charlie

Unable to download or open files when using firefox in private. Only able to do so in public mode. How do I fix this?

When browsing in private mode, I am unable to download any kind of files. Either from CNET or just a plain flash, the download function doesn't happen. Even if I right click and save as, nothing happens. I have to go back into normal mode to get the job done. It wasn't like this before, so how do I fix it?

Unable to download 11g

I am unable to complete a download of Oracle 11g for Windows.
If I try to download using Windows Internet Explorer and GetRight 1.0.4.0, it does nothing, looking like it tried to download a login page. It looks like Oracle probably tries to prompt me to log in again, even though I am already logged in and, instead of getting prompted to log in, GetRight somehow ends up trying to download the login page.
If I try to download using FireFox 2.0.0.8, after downloading 42%, I get disconnected from the internet, and after immediately reconnecting, I am unable to get the download to resume. This has happened twice, at exactly 42%.
I am trying to download the huge zip file for Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition for Windows onto a new Dell Vostro 1700 laptop with Windows Vista Home Basic, with plenty of free disc space (122 gb), and plenty of RAM (2 gb), and Intel Core 2 Duo processor, using a wireless broadband internet connection through Verizon Wireless with a USB720 modem, which works fine for other things, including downloading FireFox and GetRight. I also have Norton Internet Security and have eliminated the pop-up blocking for the download page. This is the only internet connection method I have availble.
I called Oracle and enquired about purchasing a CD pack, as I did with Oracle 9i years ago, but they said they don't do that anymore and was told that they could not help me with the download problem.
If there is any relevant information that I have neglected to include, please ask.

I cleared the cache and tried again, using just Internet Explorer without GetRight. After running for about 7 hours, it stopped at 56%, which is 999 mb, losing the internet connection. I immediately re-established the internet connection, but was unable to get the download to resume.

Make sure that you do not have a download in iTunes that did not complete - a song, a podcast - that can stall the apps from downloading and you will get the "waiting" message. Look in iTunes and if that's the case - finish those downloads first.

If you’re trying to install a handful of iOS apps and your entire home screen is filled with app icons labeled “Waiting…” without any of the progress bars moving, downloading, or installing, you can fix this fairly easily with the two methods below. Try the first method before going nuclear with a reboot though:
Tap a single app icon so that it says “Paused” and then tap that app icon again to see if it resumes downloading
If pausing and resuming didn’t work: Reboot the iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch
You may notice a related issue where apps from the App Store will say they’re “Installing” though they aren’t appearing on the iOS home screen yet, that is also resolved with a reboot.
It’s not totally clear what causes this, though it seems that a lot of people are encountering the problem right now when moving from an old iPad to a new one. It could be that Apple’s servers are just overloaded with downloads from the App Store, or it could be a bug.
You can also try signing out of your account, restart the iPad sign in and then try again. Sometimes that helps.

Unable to download OS X Mountain Lion

iTunes have taken my money via the normal channels as like purchasing any APP but i'm unable to download the mountain lion, is this a common issue? I do see the download button which would suggest that the purchasing system is okay.

I'm having the same problem, it would seem. It says "An error has occurred" and that's it. The Mountain Lion download just suddenly died for me. I'm guessing it's a temporary hiccup on Apple's end?
EDIT: And a few minutes later, the Resume button appears and I can start re-downloading. So seems like it was just a glitch in The Cloud.
