Unable to download OS X Mavericks through app store
I've tried all day to download but it wont do anything. Need help
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

I have Mac Air , I am trying to download latest OS yosemite from App store . But i am unable to download as its showing error. Pls advice is there any other options to download . Thanks

Unable to download Mountain Lion from the App store
Hi, when I try to download Mountain Lion from the app store I get the message, " The product distribution file could not be verified ... " Obviously I'm doing something really stupid. Advice welcome!
ThanksA belated thanks for your help. I'd never have solved it otherwise. Maybe Apple could change the automatic reply that I got initially ("The product distribution file could not be verified ....") othewise they risk loosing customers.

Unable to download song/ Error in iTunes & App Store
Hi the iTune store is quite unstable ever since iOS 7.0, either upgrading individual Apps in App Store or download music from iTunes from my cloud.
I have perfect connection from time to time and bump in this problem often, it's not as frequent before iOS 7.0...
Stability is one of the main reason that I stick with iPhone the whole time, please someone take this seriously?I've been getting this problem too, seems the album/song as noted is corrupted (I did stop it halfway into downloadign when I was in Spain and didn't have a ton of bandwidth). I just need to delete this error message.

Swipe the failing song horizontally to get the red Delete option, then delete.
So easy once you know, no?
Once that failed "in progress" download was deleted, I asked iTunes to re-download it and it went through just fine. -

Unable to Download keynote for Ipad from app store.
Any suggestions for another viewer for a keynote presentation on my Ipad? I need to do a presentation today and keynote is saying unable to download....
Perhaps it was a display model at one time in the store and someone registered the OS in their name. I would return to the store with the Mac and show them the stranger's name that appears in the Mac App Store when you try to update Lion. Perhaps it is even an employee. Anyway, they need to set this right by you. A new Mac should not have someone else's Apple ID registered into it. That registration sent the unique identifier to Apple for this Mac and registered it to the person's Apple ID. Not cool.

I am trying to download Maverick from the app store, and it's not working. At first it said 'downloading' for the longest time (hours), then I closed the app store and rebooted, and now even if I click on 'download' it does not work. Any ideas?

the downloaded Mavericks installer will be put into your Applications folder. Have you checked there, to see if it actually did download OK?
(If you leave the Mavericks installer in your Applications folder, then it will be deleted after you run it. If you wish to keep the installer after running it, move it out of the Applications folder before running it for the first time.) -
Unable to download(purchase) Lion Update from App Store
When I try to download Lion, the download sign in window appears and is populated with someone else's Apple ID. If I change the ID to mine and use my password I get 2 messages:
"We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"
Click OK and 2nd message:
"Unknown Error"
iTunes does not exhibit this, and normal sign in to App Store shows correct ID, only the Download Authentication does this. Are you seeing an error when you try to download apps?
If the download looks like it;s going to start but just sits there, make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the iTunes Store.
And if that doesn't do it, try restarting your iPhone. -
Cannot download Mavericks from App Store

I just want to download OS X Mavericks from App Store and I get a simple error message:
"We could not complete your purchase.
OS X Mavericks cannot be installed on this computer."
And the "Learn More" button points me to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5842.
I am doing this from my brand new Mac Book Pro 13'' Retina (Late 2013), running Mavericks 10.9.1.
My objective is to install Mavericks on my Mac Mini (a system bought at the beginning of 2013), whose original harddrive was replaced with an SSD. That is the reason I just want to do a fresh install on it.

I should boot a Linux distro from USB just to erase the disk, although I would expect that as an option to be provided during the setup of the Mac OS X installation process.

While writing this response, I manage to follow the whole article and the result is successful for now: right now I am in the process of installing the Mavericks. Interesting is that after booting from the USB I also got "Your computer restarted..." error, but after that the reboot started the installation process. Then I manage to erase the SSD drive using Disk Utility provided during installation.
Well... 5 minutes left. :-)

I cannot download mountain lion from the App Store
I am unable to download Mountain Lion from the App Store, I keep getting an error every time I try to purchase the app, I have been trying for a week but no luck.

My current opperating system is Lion, which has been updated from Snow Leopard.Yes, my Imac is a 2010 model, and I have checked the requirements, they are all fine.

I want to install Lion on an external hard drive. The OS was purchased and downloaded through the App Store but I do not know where the file is.
If you downloaded the installer it will be in your applications folder. Failing that use spotlight start typing Install and it should show up.
This is assuming you downloaded the installer from the app store, and didn't just install it onto your mac. If all you have done is install it on your mac. Go to your purchases Lion should show up. Then click download.

I have a Nikon d610 and am using PS CS6. I am unable to download my raw files through Bridge on my mac. I have downloaded the most recent Camera Raw files - 8.7.1 - what should I do next.
The D610 needs ACR 8.3 so you are easily covered there. I am not entirely clear on the process you are using the bring the files onto your hard drive. The safest way is to simply bring all the NEF files into a folder on your hard drive, then find them with bridge and open from there.
If still stuck, open Photoshop, and go Help > About plugins > Camera RAW and check that 8.7 installed OK. -

First I would make sure you don't have a program like backup software or virus protection trying to read the files when you try to start the application. If not,
Do you have any backups or data exports? If so, I would try to restore them for the application
If you do what EsbHelper suggests, you will have to recreate the database. I think he is missing a few steps.
If you are going to try to recreate the application, you need to copy your outline rules files calc scripts and report scritps (.otl, CSC, REP and rul files) to s saved directory.
If you delete the directory using the file system, you orphan things in the security file. It's better to try to do it from EAS.
Once it has been deleted, and recreated from EAS, then copy back in the objects. You will have everything but data and security. those will have to be recreated.
As aI said first, the best way to do this is from some sort of backup. othersiwe it can get a bit messy

RSS Screensaver - "read more" link disappears
There is, or atleast there was, a link "read more" right below the headlines that were sweeping the screen in screensavers RSS mode. One day few weeks ago it just wasn´t there. By then the problem was fixed, cause I had to re-instal whole system 10.4
