Unable to download preordered album.

I preordered Lady Gagas new album Artpop weeks ago. I got my email this morning to say I could now download it. I have been trying to download it on my PC (uptodate itunes) AND ipod (also uptodate). It has been saying purchased all day. Ive restarted my computer as well as ipod. Ive clicked on the email link numerous times. Nothing is working. It still says purchased. What on earth am I supposed to do?! Ive tried everything I can think of. Is anyone else having the exact same problem? I thought going digital would be better than buying cds but clearly I was wrong in my move to digital downloads.

Now its also asking me for ANY purchases for credit card infornation even though i have over $20 available credit to spend on itunes.... lovely....

Cannot download preordered album

I recently preordered the new Of Men & Men album "Restoring Force" which was due for release as of yesterday. I went to download said album and upon clicking "Check for available downloads" under the store tab, I was told that all purchases had already been downloaded. Only problem is there is no sign of the album in my library at all. It does in fact say I have purchased the album on my account, I just don't actually have the album. Also clicking the link I received in the e-mail telling me that the album is ready for download did nothing for me. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Why can't I download preordered album

IT says purchased on iTunes and I have the two songs that were available early so I know I bought it. It doesn't show up in my purchased or downloaded. On the album it has the show complete album option and when I click it each song has the buy button. I have received the confirmation email that says my preordered album is available and the link to download doesn't work. Please help. I'm dying. I need this NOW

When a pre-order item becomes available, you will receive an email letting you know your pre-order is available for download.
If you've enabled iTunes to automatically download prepurchased content, then your pre-order content may already be downloaded to your library. If not, simply click the download link provided within your email notification, and your pre-order content will begin to download. Alternatively you can use the "Check for Available Downloads" feature in iTunes on your computer by choosing Store > Check for Available Downloads to begin downloading your pre-order.

So basically my question is how can I download a preordered album on my iPad? It says that I have purchased the album but it did not download automatically and is not giving me an option to download it.

HT203433 Trouble downloading preordered album

I have the most recent version of iTunes. Recently preordered an album that was released on the 21st. I got a confirmation email saying it was ready to download. I enabled automatic downloads already. When I open the album in my library, it says I only purchased four of the songs. In the iTunes Store, all of the songs state that I purchased it. The album doesn't show up on my purchases list. This happened last week with another preordered album, but it let me download after I clicked the Check for Available Downloads tab under iStore. With this album, it says all downloads associated with my apple ID are complete. Any ideas what to do?

After all the steps that you have tried and are still not being able to get your downloads, then report the issue to the iTunes Store.

I Recently preordered an album and received an email saying it was ready for downloading but when I go to purchased I don't see the album there and it's asking me to pay if I want the songs. why are the songs not showing up?

Download a pre-ordered item

To view, cancel, or see the expected release dates for your pending pre-orders
Choose Store > View My Apple ID and click Manage Pre-Orders, which is located in the Settings section at the bottom of the Account Information screen in iTunes on your computer.
From the Manage Pre-Orders screen, click the Cancel button to the right of the pre-order you want to cancel. You'll be asked to confirm your pre-order cancellation.

Hi all. I just bough Sonic Firestorm from iTunes (the first one, not the second one, for some reason there are two identical albums in the store), and when it began to download, I got this message:
There was a problem downloading "Fury of the Storm / Sonic Firestorm / Dragonforce". An unknown error occurred (-50)
Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again.
The only thing is that my internet was working fine, then I reset it just to be sure, and got the same message for every song.
If for some reason there isn't anything I can do to download the songs, is there any way to contact iTunes to get a refund?
This problem is on my iBook g4, any and all help is appreciated, and thanks to all that reply!

I'm unable to download an album that I purchased last year!

So, last year I pre-ordered the "...Like Clockwork" from Queens of The Stone Age, and now, I can't download it anymore! I still can download lots of albums that I bought throughout the years, but not this one, and I really want this one!

What happens when you try to redownload it ? If it's no longer in your country's store (or if you've changed countries since buying it) then you won't be able to redownload it. If it is still in the store (and it's the same version that you bought) but it's not showing in the Purchased link then check to see if it's hidden : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases.
If it's no longer in the store then have you got a copy of it on your backup of your downloads/library ? Any item (album, app, film etc) could be removed from the store at any time, ideally you'd be keeping and maintaining a backup copy of all of your downloads.

Pre orders unable to download

i am unable to download preordered purchased content from the itunes store on my computer. the apple help/itunes help rep wants me to trash my user account and start over, which is nuts. i can buy and immediately download, just not "check for new downloads" keeps telling me the store is busy which is what it has been saying for days. i've asked itunes to return/credit me for my preorder and i'll just order but they have not responded.
help! anyone else with same problems. this started with the last software/firmware update. sari

I have the exact same problem, only I can't download at all, and the error is "The iTunes store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later". I can connect to the store, purchase (I even get an emailed receipt), just not download.

My preordered album says its purchased, however I have not received an email for me to download it

The album I preordered's expected release date was today, so I go on my ipad to see if it was downloaded and when it wasn't, I checked itunes, where it states that the album I preordered is purchased, but gives me no link to download it. I also checked my past purchases on my ipad and on itunes and the album doesn't appear, however, does show up when I click on manage preorders, I also checked for available downloads with no results. I then researched online and apparently you receive an email when the content is ready to download, however, even though my album says it is purchased, I haven't received an email yet telling me the album is ready to download. Is this what is supposed to happen? I have tried everything to try and download my preordered album which states it is purchased, however, I do not want to pay again for an album which is telling me is already purchased. Is it possible the album is purchased, however, the content is not ready to download yet?

Great job troubleshooting your issue thus far. The following Knowledge Base article offers up an alternative way of downloading your content if it already isn't in your library:

iTunes Store
Open iTunes and go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased in the Quick Links section.
Select the content type that you want to download (Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books).
Select Not in My Library to view purchased content that isn't on your computer.
Find the item that you want to download. You can browse using the menu to the left. If you have more than 2,000 songs, you will see Recent Purchases instead of All Songs or Albums.
Click the Download icon next to the item you want to download.
If an item is already in your library, the Download icon won't appear.
If you still are unable to download you purchase, then you will want to report your issue:

Songs and ringtones are different types of music files. The file extension of Songs is mp4 and that of ringtones is mp4r. They are not interchangeable. You need to download the ringtone you want or convert the file with a ringtone creator app of which they are many for free in the App Store.

Unable to download song message on my iphone 4 (only 1 song from an album)

I purchased an album from the iTunes and 1 song out of the whole album keeps saying "Unable to download song"
It also appears that that song is indeed already downloaded ?

I have the same issue, and reported it over 2 weeks ago, but if you read all the topics on this forum it is clear it is a widespread issue, and they don't know how to fix it.
Come on Apple, this is silly now, iPhone 5's are not cheap and too have no music at all is pretty bad! Even my 5 year old Nokia can do that!
