Unable to Download Song from Itunes
Receiving an error message on my iphone 4S when trying to download music from itunes. Have not had problems in the past. I have restarted my phone. I have the most up-to-date operating software. I signed in and out of my apple ID. Nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions? Thank you.
I have both a strong wifi and cellular connection.
I have restarted my phone.
No problem downloading apps. Same error with a different song.
Also checked to make sure I had memory storage left on my iphone - I do.

I see this is very old post, however only as of a couple of months back i'm getting a very similar fault.
I run an iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Mini 2 (cellular) and a Macbook Pro - all using the same iTunes account for my iTunes Match. When the devices are connected to the home Wifi (SKY BROADBAND) not a single problem with the service - However when i attempt to use iTunes match on any device via 3G/4G the devices will skip songs 99% of the time and also not be able to stream previews from the iTunes store.
I find if i have one of the devices on 3G/4G and turn iTunes match off and back on again, it may be able to stream a few songs ok. However this won't last for too long, and before long the issue will return.
From a very broad perspective, you'd think that the issue is with the Cellular Service Provider (EE UK), but i've been in contact with their technical team, and are unable to find any issues on their end, as the phone and iPad are both connected OK to the internet via 3G/4G.
I'm a Technical Analyst by profession, and have tried adjusting all settings, and turning accounts off and back on in different orders to try and find a pattern, but i'm left completely stumped.
Does anyone have a resolution for this?!

Hey everybody Amazon.com works perfectly and no problems so Bye, Bye Itunes fix your junk *** program and ****** customer service telling me it's my computer and connection. Oh is that also why my phone can't download them either on a seperate cell network. Nice try garbage In the time it took for them to run me around i downloaded the songs i needed via Amazon.

I have an iPhone and recently bought an iPod 4 touch what l am using the same apple ID for. The iPod won't let me download songs from iTunes it is asking me security questions which I don't think I have put answers to in the first place, because of this it won't let me buy any songs on iTunes
It's probably asking you to verify the security code found on the back of your credit card.

My ipod downloads songs from itunes and plays them just fine. However, when I added my songs from my CD's to it, they downloaded but don't play like they should. They either don't play at all or randomly play in the middle of the song. It has nothing to do with the start time either because they all say that they start at 0.00. I synced the CD's correctlly, so that is not the issue. The songs from the CD's never start playing when I choose them. What can I do to fix this issue?

If you are referring to the iTunes Store, then no, because all songs they sell are in AAC format. You can buy MP3s from other online stores, such as Amazon MP3.

I have had 4 mac computers and after years of downloading songs from itunes, I keep recieving a message that I need to set up an account. when I try to make a new account, i get an error that says i already have an account.
Have you tried checking the Store drop-down menu in the iTunes interface to see if you are signed in the existing account?

Probably but iMovie and I guess iDVD is fussy about in what format the audio
is in. It should be 48k/.aiff
If You in iTunes make an audio CD with the material You need in Your movie
and then Use this CD in iMovie it will work.

If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. What you want to do actually has nothing to do with iTunes Match. What you need to do is enable automatic downloads in iTunes. Open iTunes prefs > Store and select the option for, at least, "music" and click OK. Now any music you buy will be downloaded to your iTunes library automatically. But iTunes will need to be running for this to happen.

Unless you have an Internet connection you cannot access iCloud. You can download your music from iCloud to store permanently on your iPhone, but only when you have an Internet connection to do so.

This question is asked literally dozens of time a week in these forums, & I will answer, again. In order to purchase from any specific country's store, you will have to meet one of the following criteria:
1) Have a credit card from that country with a billing address in that country.
2) You may use an iTunes gift card purchased in that country, but the billing address rule still applies.
This rules are mandated by the record companies not Apple. The record companies do not care for cross-border sales.
As a new poster, just a suggestion, it might save you a little time if you use the "search" function in the upper right corner to see if your question has been asked previously. That way you don't have to wait on someone to come along to help you. -

You can try a couple of different things. First - restart the iPod and see if the songs will play.
Restart the iPod by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't help - delete the songs and then download them again. You can download purchased music again at no charge as long as you use the same Apple ID that you bought them with originally and as long as you live in one of these countries.
Previously purchased music is only available through iTunes in the Cloud in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, United States, and Venezuela.
If you are running iOS 5 on the iPod - You can delete songs by swiping across the song in list view to bring up a red delete button. Tap the button to delete the songs. Download the songs again in the purchased tab in iTunes.
