How do I clear error download in Itunes downloads on my iphone?
My phone will download other music but keeps leaving 2 particular albums in my down load que.
Yet the music is shown in my libary as purchased and downloaded.

I am also having this same problem.    I have no videos in the video app as they have already exceeded their rental period.  In ITunes, I show the "More" button has two waiting to be downloaded with an error "download error, tap to retry".  I retry but I get the same error message.  They remain on my phone taking up memory too.  HELP?

I bought P!ATD most recent album and all but the first two songs downloaded on to my phone. and I've tried to retry downloading them but it keeps saying I they can't download them at this time. The whole album downloaded perfectly fine to my iPod 4th generation though

TRy to close all open apps by tapping the home button 2 times then try to download again. If it doesnt work, turn off your ipod then on after 30 seconds. Then try to download again. If both things fail then call apple support and request to be connected to itunes

Just purchased the new iTouch for my daughter and set it up by restoring from a back up of her iPad.  She can download any app with no issue, however, every time she tries to download a song from iTunes it starts to download, then says processing and finally fails.  This happens every single time.
Don't want to connect her iTouch to her iTunes account on the laptop as that defeats the object of doing things straight from the device.  This is very frustrating and it's apparent by surfing the web, the problem is common.
Her iTouch has plenty of spare disc and hitting the pause button quickly ( as suggested on many sites, makes no
If anyone has any good ideas I would be grateful if you could post a reply.
    Many thanks

Thanks for the reply.  However, been trying since Christmas Day and still no luck.  Am trying again as I write but still fails.  Oddly, anything from the App Store is fine, the issue is always with downloading from iTunes straight to the iTouch.  One very frustrated daughter I have fright now.

  • TS1424 I have purchased a film and an album in iTunes. They all appear under downloads but state 'download error, tap to retry'.  When I retry a box appears quoting the title of the film/song and ''unable to download at this time'.  Help pls!!

Recently rented a film and bought an album on iTunes. The items appear in my purchased items and in my download items however they have a download error tap to retry. When I retry I box appears quoting name of item and unable to download at this time. What do I need to check? I have had no problems downloading before and my Internet signal is strong. Help please!!

    For the rental:
Select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History on your computer.
    For the music:
Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • HT203167 Download error. Tap to retry.

Hi.  I purchased a movie (Hugo) and in iTunes it says all my purchased movies have been downloaded to the device, yet under the download tab it shows that the movie still needs downloaded.  When I tap to download, I get "Download error. Tap to retry.". When I recap, I get a popup that says "unable to download movie.  Hugo cannot be downloaded at this time.". I then can either click done or retry.  Round and round I go to no avail.  Any help?  I've made other purchases and have no issues downloading and seeing the movies in my library.  I'm stuck!

Before upgrading to iOS5, I downloaded 2 different podcasts everyday for months to my iPhone via my wireless network and it was flawless. I did not have to get on my computer and do a two step download. Now since the upgrade it happens everyday and the podcasts will not download to my iPhone. I get the same error as noted in the comments above. So I do not think this is a network problem. I think it is a problem with the upgrade.
Having to do a 2 step download everyday when before I did not have too before is kind of a step back.
If anyone knows how to get the download straight to my phone, please post.
    Thanks

  • My songs from iTunes won't download, I went to the downloads tap and all seven of my new songs say "download error, tap to retry" and when I tap on one a message pops up saying " this song could not be downloaded at this time". What do I do?

My songs from iTunes won't download. I recently just purchased 7 songs and they took my money but now the songs won't download to my phone. I have gone to the download screen on the iTunes app and under each song it says "download error. Tap to retry". When I tap to retry a song a message pops up saying "this song could not be downloaded at this time." And it gives me two options. Either done or retry. I have tried to download them many times. I signed out and signed back in on iTunes, restarted my phone, and even checked for any updates. Nothing seems to be working. They charged the money from my card but now my songs won't download. What do I do?

    Hello Bdev15,
I would be concerned too if the songs I purchased from iTunes were not downloading to my iPhone. You have taken some great troubleshooting steps already, and thank you for providing the details of the steps you too.  I have a few additional suggestions to get it downloaded to your iPhone.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.

If the songs still do not download, next I recommend downloading the songs when connected to another network.  For example, if you are using the cellular network, you could switch to Wi-Fi, or you could try an alternate Wi-Fi network.  Follow the steps in the section titled "iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch > Music" in the article below to download the songs:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

If you are still not able to download the songs, you can report an issue with these purchases using the steps in this article:

I'm trying to download some purchased TV shows to my iPad Air.  I keep getting the dreaded Download Error Tap to Retry Message.  I've signed out of iTunes and back in.  I've updated my software.  I have plenty of room for them on the Air.  We are taking a long flight this week, and I wanted to have something new to watch.  I've read through lots of threads on this but I can't seem to find a good solution that I haven't tried.
If I can get them to download them on my iMac computer, can I then transfer them to my iPad?  How is this done?  (Please pardon an older lady's ignorance, and thank you for any assistance!)

  • Download error tap to retry on ipad

For some reason all my music disappeared from my iPad. i am attempting to download it again from iTunes. 2 songs downloaded and all the rest say Download Error. tap to Retry. I have made several attempts and no other songs will download. They are all just sitting there with the same error message.

Same problem here on my iPhone 5S running iOS 7.0.2.

  • Download error. Tap to retry.     Why? I have a wifi and still the same message?

Download error. Tap to retry.... Why? I have a wifi connection and still the same message, and even connected to desktop the same for ipad. Help :-)

I'm getitng the same thing.  I'm beyond sick of this iPad.  It's a third generation Retina Display and it turned into a pile of cat turds after iOS 7.  It got so bad I restored it and used iCloud. It was still god awful.  I restored it and didnt use the iCloud backup and hoped that whatever was wrong would be avoided....nope.  IF I can get a download going it nearly kills my entire iPad.  I will open the cover and wait over 30 seconds just for the screen to light up.  I will hit the home button to close an app and wait nearly a minute in some cases for it to actually close.  Then to top off all the annoyances it just fails and loops over and over.
I bought Apple products to avoid stuff like this.  Very unhappy.

  • Download error, tap to retry on song in download list even though has downloaded and plays on iPhone 5s

I recently downloaded a song through iTunes on my IPhone.
The song downloaded and can be played on the phone but iTunes is still say that the song hasn't fully downloaded. Comes up with 'Downloaded error, tap to retry' that I can't get rid of.
This is strange as the song has completed downloading and can be played on the iPhone in its entirety!
