How do I overcome this problem? If possible please answer in simple point form.
Error getting license. License Server Communication Problem:
E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12
Is it possible for you to correct it from your end without me ?
Your help will be much appreciated as I cannot get library ebooks or Kobo ebooks.

If the book is PASSHASH enabled then it will prompt for Unlock Code. Please check with your distributor and get the login credentials to unlock.

you can check this at:
1. Open the file in Adobe Digital Editions.
2. Select the book that you are trying to transfer.
3. Go to File -> Item Info
4. Check Location.

Try an older version (1.7.2) of ADE, especially if you are on XP.
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

To remove the book simply touch and hold the cover on the main page. A little pop up will ask, remove? Say yes. The book content will de deleted. The cover will remain on your main page with a little down arrow so that you can redownload it if you wan in the cloud view. In the device view, it simply disappears.
Note at the bottom of the page are a couple of switches, labeled cloun and device. The device switch shows you books on your device. The cloud page shows your whole catalog, and the down arrow allows you to bring down anything in your catalog to the device.

Do you have a Linux version download of Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 Installers ?

Hi I am running Ubuntu version 13.10, I can't find a version for Linux to download for Adobe Digital Editions.
Is there one that exists ?
Or do I have to go to windows to get this ?

If you look at that thread posted above you will discover that in fact the answer is NO. There is no Linux version of Adobe Digital Editions - there is an OLD Windows version that you can run in Linux using WINE. Adobe Digital Editions sucks. DRM sucks.
From June UK residents will have a legal right to make copies of ebooks for personal use, and 'format shift' these if they so choose, hopefully this will encourage publishers to abandon this hopeless crippled and crippling technology - the analogy I like to use is to imagine if you could only read a paperback if you were wearing a particular pair of glasses.

Have you activated Digital Editions with an Adobe ID (or a Vendor ID)?
Go to the Help menu and select Authorization Information...
A window will appear to display your authorization information. If your computer is not authorized, you'll need to do that before you can read any DRM-protected books. If you don't have an Adobe ID, you can create one here.

Why is EPUB not downloading to adobe digital editions anymore?

I have Adobe Digital Editions and have downloaded EPUB from online bookshops previously but all of a sudden they won't download and the following message comes up "Connection Error Detected - Digital Editions couldn't connect to the fulfillment server, Please make sure you are connected to the internet" - I AM connected to the internet. I looked for updates to the digital editions but couldn't find any.
If anyone could help - The online bookstore say the problem is not at their end.

I looked at the link and it didn't work. I have uninstalled digital editions and reinstalled it and it still didn't work. I clicked "unblock" on the properties of the file concerned and it still didn't work. Any further suggestions would be appreciated if you have any.

Can no longer download to Adobe Digital Edition

I used to be able to borrow books from the public library for my eReader. I would download them to Adobe Digital and then transfer them to the eReader. I can no longer download from the library. A get an error message that "Windows" does not recognize the file. What is the problem?

Since iPhoto and Aperture use the same library format now, do you see your missing photos when you open the same library in iPhoto again? Did you upgrade both Aperture and iPhoto? Have you checked to see if you've entered any text into the various search fields in Aperture? Have you checked for any hidden search filters?
As for transferring digital photos, when you say it's difficult, do you mean that the process is complicated, or that there seem to be actual problems transferring the images?

I tried Borders support staff and Adobe's. It appears that the preview flash player downloaded but still wasn't able to download the adobe digital edition. the message saying it needed the flashplayer continues to come up.

Adobe Digital Edition freezes after downloading a book via -acsm file

Three hours ago I have downloaded the Adobe Digital Edition (ADE) so that I can read a book for my studies.
I use Win7 on my netbook.
I fully authorized it, downloaded the .acsm file, unblocked it in the properties and opened it with the ADE.
A smaller window popped up saying: Fulfilling[book name] and a progress bar went up to 100%. Then it dissapeared and the ADE froze in a fashion that it can be moved around and minimalized, but nothing else.
Eventually, after about 30min I closed it via task manager.
I've already spent three hours digging through the forums instead of studying so any help is appreciated.

Have tried from two sources buying and downloading Adobe e-books and each time when I download them, Adobe Digital Editions starts up and then it just crashes without finalizing the book. When I then reopen the ADE again the book title is there, but with no author name or any other info, and I can't open it or transfer it to my PRS-505. Has anyone else had this problem and/or know what could be wrong. I just downloaded and installed the new 1.5 version of ADE so it seems that likely is not the problem.

...well I guess it was something wrong with my computer that caused this, had problems with my firewall/virus program also and when I got that fixed then the book download worked as it should also.

I select the supplied link to the Adobe site, select download, and I am given the option of windows or Mac OS. I wandered through the site and even googled an iOS version with no luck. I thought maybe the Mac OS version might be universal to apple products so I downloaded it and tried to open it in One Note, One Drive, and Google My Drive with no luck. The .dmg file is not recognized. So, I'm back to looking for an iOS version. Is there one?

You can find an iPad version of Adobe Digital Editions in the app store on the iPad. I was able to download it and install it tonight. I followed the instructions in the included User's Guide to copy a book that I had first downloaded to my Mac over to DropBox. From the DropBox app on the iPad, I opened the book with ADE successfully. You might also look at the BlueFire reader; I've seen that recommended a number of places. I was just able to open the same book from DropBox in BlueFire. For both ADE and BlueFire, you will have to authorize your iPad to Adobe with an Adobe ID and pw. Good luck.
