Unable to edit a fill form PDF on my andriod

Why can I edit a PDF fill in form on my laptop but cannot edit the sync file on my mobile device? Certain blank fill in form PDF's will allow edits on both devices, but any PDF fill in form that I have partially completed will not allow me to then edit them on my mobile device. I have not purposely restricted editing, so I don't understand why some forms allow editing and some wont.
Thanks

Hi Ckenlan,
Please check in the document properties whether you have set some restrictions for editing.

  • Unable to edit the fields in PDF interactive form

    Hi,
We are in the process of developing an interactive form integrating Web Dynpro ABAP with Adobe forms.
As of now we are able to send the data to Adobe form from Web Dynpro.
But we are facing the following problem.
    i) Unable to edit the form data for entering/changing the contents of the fields in PDF document,  which is presented to user with a Web Dynpro application URL.
We have already unset the 'ReadOnly' property of the interactive UI element.
We are currently working on ZCI installation with SAP SP08, GUI patch level 20, Adobe Reader version 8.0
    Please advise...
    Thanks,

  • My client is unable to save the filled in pdf whilst I can ? Part2

I followed instructions as per my earler post and enabled the usage rights see image below.
I found the path was (thanks to jersey girl) at under Advanced select"Extend Features in Adboe Reader" in Acrobat 9.
The pop upbox below appears, I selected the "Save Now"
    1.  My query is the information in the pink circle, What does it mean it laymans terms ?
    2.  IT says certain functions will be restricted.....What functions exactly ?
    3.  It says editing document.....Is that the document you have just enabled usage rights to ?
    4.  If you are unable to edit the document after the change, what do you do is the client want to , say add a filed ? REDO THE COMPLETE FORM ?
    5.  The last line says "Will be restricted"  does that mean permanantly ? Or if somthing can be restricted it usualy be un-restricted ?
That pop up box leaves me with so many questions. I want to be good at creating Adobe forms but I need to knoe their parameters.  HELP please

In layman terms except for filling in the form, adding comments or adding a signature the pdf file cannot be edited or changed in any substatial manner. You cannot add field, edit text, you name it. HOWEVER, you can save a copy of the file and it will have the the extended rights removed and you can do to it whatever can be done normally to a pdf file. HOWEVER, the copy will not allow a user of Reader to save new information or edited information until usage rights have ben re-enabled.

  • Just paid $25 to upgrade so I can edit and fill in PDF, not working, redirects me back to pay again?

How do you use the edit function after you PAY $25 to use the form fill function

    Okay.
In that case once you purchased the EPDF service, open any pdf file which you want to convert it to doc/docx etc. Tap on it such that the tollbar is visible. On top tap on the second icon which are present on the right side. You will find an option "Export from PDF".
    Hope this helps.
You can easily fill form fields using Adobe Reader without exporting it to doc or any other format.

  • Editing and Filling Forms in PDF's

I looked around this discussions area and noticed one person saying that I can use Adobe Acrobat to edit PDF files. Will this also let me fill in forms? Here is my situation, I'm downloading several contracts in PDF format and it has blank spaces all over the place. Does Acrobat automatically know these are blanks to be filled out or do I have to go through and tell the application where I want text added?
Also, are there any free apps that will let me do this exact thing? Thanks.

The form boxes must be in the PDF document. If they are not, you can add them using the form tools in the full version of Acrobat. But the process is not automatic. You have to place them in the proper place.
Most image editing applications will allow you to put text boxes over an image file. This will work if you want to fill in those places yourself, but will not make a file that others can fill in.

  • Edit Fill-able PDF Form

How do I edit a fill-able pdf form I created previously?

My mistake, you're correct.  It was made in ms word.
The edit I want to make seems rather straightforward, but not only can't I get into the pdf, I can't figure out how to make the following edit; the form has several questions that require narrative responses that typically take more than a single line to answer.  Currently, the pdf breaks the answer line into two or three separate merge fields instead of one that encompasses several lines.  How do I create a single merge field that covers several lines?

  • Ipad app that will fill in pdf form and capture signature with stylus

Hello.  I am looking for an application which will allow me to read, edit and fill out pdf forms AND capture a signature on the pdf form with a stylus.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I currently am using an ipad, second generation.

hullo there, i would personally recommend writepdf, i use this myself and you can do all of the above more or less, you can also create customized signatures and insert them into pdfs. i think what i like even more about writepdf is that you can directly edit docs, anyway, definitely look for it on the app store!

Also, this is only for regular PDF files, not forms.

  • Fill in PDF forms and save/export as *un-editable* PDF?

    Hi all,
I have a client for whom I am creating an invoice template. I created the file in InDesign and have exported as a PDF.
Working with Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1.4 on Mac 10.6.8, I have managed to add text fields for my client to fill in with job-specific information. (Job number, item / descriptions / costs and so on).
Is there a way that he/she can fill in job specifics, and then save or export the file so that when opened by their client, it appears as UN-editable?
    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

I answered this here: Can I fill in PDF forms and export / save as un-editable file?

  • Fill a PDF form from Excel

    Hello to all.
I've been googling around for days to find some examples to solve my problem but was unable to find a good one.
I’m using Excel 2007 and Visual Studio 2010
Normally I report the data using Excel itself (a workbook). Now the request I have is to fill a PDF file containing a form with a huge number of lines. This means the data i have in the columns and lines of the Excel Worksheet have to be entered in the PDF form fields.
The PDF file was created withAdobe LiveCycle Designer 11.0 and has the ability to allow the creation and deletion of as many lines as we need.
I do even have a way to know the PDF form fields names...
Can someone please give me a clue of how can i achieve this using VB?
Thanks in advance for any kind help.
    Octavio

In that case the for loop would be:
        for (var i = 0; i < 8; i += 1) {
            sum += +getField("Total." + i).value;
So initially, the counter i is equal to zero, so the field name used with the getField method is:
"Total." + 0, which results in the string "Total.0". With each iteration, the variable i is incremented by 1, so the subsequent field names are the following:
    "Total.1"
    "Total.2"
    "Total.3"
    "Total.4"
    "Total.5"
    "Total.6"
    "Total.7"
The script gets the value of each field, converts it to a number, and adds the number it to the running sum.

Context coping & for accessibility  Allowed
    Page extract                                Allowed

    Hi Bryan,
I'm afraid you're in the wrong forum! This one is for acrobat.com, which is different from Acrobat (I know, very confusing). Here's the link to the forum you're looking for:

Good luck, and I hope the issue gets resolved over there.

  • How to fill up pdf forms & sign pdf contracts using digitizer pen & tablet?

    Greetings,
I travel a lot and bring tons of documents for clients to sign. As I am trying to cut down on travel weight, i fancied upon the idea of using a digitizer such as the Genius EasyPen i405 to fill up pdf forms and sign contracts so i wouldnt have to scan, save and email the forms back to the office thousands of miles away. I would like to know if it is possble to do that using such a device. If its possible, how? I use acrobat X. Any advise you can give would be greatly appreciated. Hope to hear from you soonest. Thank you.

Thanks for your response jallisy. I just thought about this because i read somewhere that the pen acts like a mouse cursor when you move it around the digitizer. I figured the pen could act as a mouse while the digitizer could act as a mouse pad, as such the size doesnt really matter, considering you need to press a button on the pen to engage the digital ink and you use the computer screen as your guide. I havent really tried one but am just starting to explore the idea as tablets like the Ipad are now allowing users to fill up forms and sign pdfs with a finger or a capacitive pen. Youtube offers all these interesting pdf signing and editing with the Ipad. I just really dont want an Ipad. I still think a solution is just around the corner. But i am not willing to buy an expensive tablet with limited storage and productivity features over a real laptop.
The genius site for the pen stated that i can sign microsof office docs but no pdf was mentioned. I guess they have a special software for that but the people at genius havent gotten back to me yet. Another way i was thinking about was converting all the pdfs to word, sign the word document and then save as a pdf again ... the document is prone to be edited though and formats could be accidentally changed so was really thinking about doing this directly with a PDF instead.
