Unable to edit document using "Edit with Word" option

Hi All,
i am having an issue with Office web apps. i am using SharePoint 2013 and Office web apps 2013. all the configurations have been done successfully. but i have a different kind of issue.
i am able to open documents in browser
i am able to edit document using " edit with word/excel web" option
but i am unable to edit document using "edit with word/excel" option
i have Office 2010 installed on my local machine.
do we need to have MS office of 2013 version? or is there anything missing from configuration part.

According to your post, my understanding is that you could not use the "edit with word/excel" option.
I had tested the issue with the Office 2010, the option worked well.
You don’t need to install the Office 2013 to use this option.
What did you mean “but i am unable to edit document using "edit with word/excel" option
Did you mean the option gray out? Did the issue occur in other browsers?
You can use compatibility mode to check whether it works.
Open IE->Tools->Compatibility View Settings
You can also add the site into Trusted sites.
Open the IE->Internet Options->Security->Sites->add the site into the Websites, then check whether it works.
What's more, you can also use other browsers to check whether it works, such as Firefox, Chrome.

Just wanting to know if there is a way that I can save a indesign file or illustrator file that most aspects can be edited with word, mainly just the type edited with word? I have CS 5.5

Just to throw out the obvious (which isn't obvious to everyone, so I thought I'd mention it), but this isn't a "round-trip to Word to edit an InDesign file" thing. It's a "turn an InDesign file into a Word file" thing. Once it's a Word file, any edits you make won't reflect in the InDesign file. Although that would be handy, the way to edit text in a more word-processor-friendly environment without having to edit the actual InDesign file is to use InCopy.

Im unable to print documents using Adobe.
Ive uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader 3 times, since last week.
I can open the document, and select print. I get the 'progressing' popup, then I get an Adobe pop-up that says 'The document could not be printed' Then I click ok, then I get another that says 'There were no pages selected to print'
Ive checked for updates in Adobe, Ive turned anti-virus off while reinstalling, Ive reinstalled printer drivers. Still cant print.
Im able to print from another computer.
Does anyone have any suggestions? As this is a work computer and I need to print work requests often.

This can happen in following scenarios.
1) if the connection to the printer you are trying to print to is not established.
2) if the PDF is badly made or does not confirm to pdf standards.
3) if you are printing to a plotter then the workaround is to uncheck the auto-rotate setting in plotter preferences directly.
If still you experience the same issue, then provide us some more details like:
1. OS you are using?
2. Are you able to print with the other applications on your system?
3. Is the issue file specific or with all pdf's on your computer?
4. Printer model you are using?
5. Were you facing similar issues with the previous versions of Reader?

Unable to edit generated Word output

Hello all,
after generating printed Output, the Word document cannot be
edited. The entire content can be copied into a new document though
and then it can be edited. It makes no difference whether the
output into a single Word document or a master is selected. This is
Word 2003 and RH X5 (with Word 2003 patch).
Any ideas about this?

Using BDBSQL with BDBSQL_SYSTEM_MEMORY option

I have been trying to using the pragma BDBSQL_SYSTEM_MEMORY - but get get a error when I specify a segemt id . If I do not specifiy the segement ID then the shared memory segment does not get created.
Has anyone used this option - can you provide me details as to how this pragma can be used.
Does this option also work in a multi threaded environment with each thread having its on DB handle ?

I just verified that the BDBSQL_SYSTEM_MEMORY pragma is working on my Linux machine using the DB 5.2.36 release.
Could you provide more information about the failure you are seeing, including:
* Berkeley DB release
* Build options used with Berkeley DB
* Platform
* Command line you are using to execute the pragma (and any commands you have previously executed on the database)
* Details of any error messages you see
Does this option also work in a multi threaded environment with each thread having its on DB handle ?Yes - you will need to specify the pragma prior to executing other commands on every connection.

I've generated an ohw project which includes a search index. It matches search topics using the "match any words" option no matter which option I choose. The other options ("match all words" and "boolean expression") work fine when I use RoboHelp to view the help project. Are these supported options for ohw?

Unable to edit with iMovie

Hi,
I'm a new Mac owner. I think I made a good choice, but with anything new there is always a period of "getting to know you". That's why I'm glad to see such an active forum community here.
So, here goes... I have a digital camera that records .MOV videos, and I'd like to edit these videos with iMovie. I converted a few of these files using VisualHub. The .MOV files became .avi files. When I try to create a new project in iMovie, the view screen appears black, but the file name appears at the top of the view screen as: "My Movie.avi (MPEG-4)". Everything looks like it's working, but no video shows up to edit. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong, or not doing, etc.

Now the serious part:
You'll need to learn a little about codecs (and containers). AVI and MOV are both containers that can contain a number of different codecs (a .mov file is a Quicktime movie file, while the .avi container is usually used on Windows platforms).
Have a look at Karsten Schlüter's website for some more on codecs:

You say that your camera records a .mov file, but not in what codec. To find that out, try opening your file with QT, then hit Cmd+I to get the info on your video file.
I converted a few of these files using VisualHub. The .MOV files became .avi files.
I suspect that you have converted your files to DivX format (which is a flavor of MPEG-4). Instead convert your files to DV format, which is the native format for iMovie. Be warned, however, that every conversion makes for loss of quality.

Natively (and I may be wrong on this point), I think the only way to view those files is if they are an attachment to an email...once detached, an add-on application is required to view them. Many BB versions come with the Standard edition of the DataViz DocumentsToGo applications which can render these. Given what you describe, you need such an add-on application.

Unable to download Document using the GET_FILE service

Hi,
I have a custom component-custom service being called from a workflow,which downloads the file to an external folder every time a check in is performed with parameters matching the criteria of the workflow.
Now the issue is every time the file is checked in for the first time,the file which gets downloaded only has the binder information with the status message as:
"StatusMessage=Unable to download 'ABC022257'.Unable to find latest revision for item 'ABC022257'."
Can anyone point out to probable causes??

Windows 10 TP Enterprise Edition with the option to create an account for a child?

I've installed the W10 TP Enterprise Edition in a stable VMware Workstation and tried to create another user accout. But this fails because you can only create an account with an email account. This system should handle both: creating local user accounts
and domain accounts. Creating a local user account for a child in the enterprise environment is absolutely crazy and senseless. A technical preview should handle this. If the GUI fails - ok. But the functionality behind should work. Sorry, but this preview
makes sense like a hole in my head. I will delete it from the VM. Wellcome Linux.

Unable to clear documents using F-44

We have created a journal entry using FBS1 and the same was reversed using F.81
We are able to view these balance in this vendor account when we run FBL1N
When we try clear this vendor using F-44 and enter document number..We get the following error -" No appropraite line item is contained in this document"

Can one ODI procedure be used twice with different option in one package?

I have a procedure with three check box type options. This procedure is used twice in a package. I tried to set options differently in the package, but once I set up the options for the second call, the first one will be updated to the same as the second one automatically. Is the option supposed be used as parameter? If it is true, why I cannot call procedure twice by using two different parameter settings?

Create two scenarios of the same procedure. While generating scenarios change the options as necessary. Then in the package call the scenarios instead of the procedure. That should work.

Why do I not get an option to "Edit in Word"?

Team is using SharePoint online. When someone sends me a link to a document on SharePoint and I click on that link, the doc opens in read mode but only gives me the option to "Edit in Browser". There's no "Edit in Word"
option. I have full edit rights. If I navigate to that same doc starting at Sharepoint.com, and open the doc in Firefox (my default browser), I then also have the "Edit in Word" option.
Unfortunately, you can't easily tell where the file is located from the URL that is given, so navigating to it (as an work around) is not simple.
Suggestions?

Which Sharepoint and Office version did you use? Did someone send you a hyperlink via Outlook?
If you only use Firefox during open the link which someone sent you, Please try to use IE to test.
If you use sharepiont 2010 and Office 2010 or 2007, please check the KB if it is helpful.
