  • Unable to edit Outline in EAS WEB CONSOLE after JDK updated to 1.7.0_07

Our windows infrastructure team upgrade JDK to 1.7.0_07 company wide. After upgrade I can login into the EAS console and do operations like searching for members, opening & closing outlines, looking at rules, calc script etc. But I cant add new member in the outline.
When I try to edit the partition it gives the option to "repair or delete".
Everything works when jdk is brought back to 1.6.0_29
As per support matrix it says it support Oracle JDK 1.6.0_21+
Due to company security policy we need to be at jdk1.7+
Anybody has come across this issue.
    thanks

Yes there are problems with EAS and JDK 1.7 so you will probably need to stick with the supported version.

  • Unable to edit Document in WEB UI, when the status is Closed.

    Hi,
I am working on Service Request Transaction in WEB UI. When the status of the document is set to closed, I am unable to edit the fields. Could you please help me why the system is behaving in this way? Any configuration is involved in this?
    Thanks,

Some standard system statuses are preconfigured to disalowe certain activities when the system status s set. You can try setting in your status profile for that status the business transaction "Change document" to "Allowed".

  • Unable to edit Web Clipping repository.

    Hi,

I got this error message, I thought that portal_admin had those privileges... Any idea what I can do?
Error : Insufficient Privilege. Please contact the administrator for privilege in Default Provider Builder Instance.

I opened a TAR and they said that it was impossible with this version to navigate to an external web site through proxie needing a password, BUG. Supposed to be ok in the next version or patchset.
That surprised me because many companies with web access have proxie user/password for evident security reasons. I don't understand why Portal developers haven't thought about that...

  • WebElements - Unable to edit WEPlatform

    Hi,
I am new to WebElements and wanted to have a look at the functions to see how I can use in my reporting suite.
I am using CR11 and seem to be unable to edit the WEPlatform element to select the Crystal Reports version that I use.
I notice when I open the WebElements 246.rpt that it advises me that the report was written in a later version of Crystal.
Is this why I cannot edit the WEPlatform element ? If so how can I obtain a version of the web elements thjat will work with my Crystal version ?
    Any help will be great.
    Cheers,
    Matt

    hi Matt,
the users guide isn't really clear on this...i will make sure that this gets changed for the next release.
as webelements are Custom Functions you have to disconnect them from your repository to edit them. if you right click on the platform function and choose disconnect from repository then you can edit the function to match your platform.
once you've changed the function, you can add it back into your repository overwriting the existing one...that way when you  build a new report using webelements you don't have to keep changing the platform function each time.

  • Lync 2013 client - part of Office 2013 Pro Plus - unable to edit or remove picture, option is grayed out.

    Hi Team,
Lync 2013 client - part of Office 2013 Pro Plus - unable to edit or remove picture, option is grayed out.
Using Exchange 2010 Server and Lync 2010 Server at the back. To the best of my knowledge, this option is only available when using Exchange 2013 rather than Ex 2010.
Can somebody confirm this as I am not 100% sure about it.
    Appreciate your help. Thanks

    Hi,
The photo precedence in Lync 2013 is high-resolution photo from Exchange 2013 -> Photo from web address -> Active Directory photo. The "Edit or Remove Picture" button is available if you integrate Lync Server 2013 with Exchange 2013.
Since you are Lync server 2010 and Exchange 2010, you can choose the following two options:
The thumbnailPhoto attribute on the user's object in Active Directory Domain Services
A URL configured by the user

  • Unable to edit document using "Edit with Word" option

    Hi All,
i am having an issue with Office web apps. i am using SharePoint 2013 and Office web apps 2013. all the configurations have been done successfully. but i have a different kind of issue.
i am able to open documents in browser
i am able to edit document using " edit with word/excel web" option
but i am unable to edit document using "edit with word/excel" option
i have Office 2010 installed on my local machine.
do we need to have MS office of 2013 version? or is there anything missing from configuration part.
    Please help me.
    Thank You,
    Bhaskar.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you could not use the "edit with word/excel" option.
I had tested the issue with the Office 2010, the option worked well.
You don’t need to install the Office 2013 to use this option.
What did you mean “but i am unable to edit document using "edit with word/excel" option
Did you mean the option gray out? Did the issue occur in other browsers?
You can use compatibility mode to check whether it works.
    Open IE->Tools->Compatibility View Settings
You can also add the site into Trusted sites.
Open the IE->Internet Options->Security->Sites->add the site into the Websites, then check whether it works.
What's more, you can also use other browsers to check whether it works, such as Firefox, Chrome.

  • Unable to edit XLSM files in SharePoint using hyperlink?

    Hi All,
Unable to edit .xlsm files using hyperlink, please guide me.
    Thanks
    Ramanjulu Naidu N

    Hi Ramanjulu,
Did this happen to all users?
Did the "Read Only/Edit" dialog pop up when you click the .xlsm Name link from SharePoint 2010?
Could you see the yellow message bar with "Edit Workbook" button when you open the .xlsm file in your Excel Application?
You can check if the following kb article could solve yellow message bar missing problem, set "Browser File Handling" as Permissive for your web application, or update the registry for client Office application.
Also check if the add-on "SharePoint OpenDocuments Class" is enabled in your IE 32-bit browser.

  • Unable to edit Hosts file in Win7 Home Prem 64bit.

Clean install.  Administrator account.  Unable to edit the permissions of the hosts file. There is one in the drivers\etc file, which I cannot edit. There is supposed to be one in %systemroot% \SysWOW64\drivers\etc   but there is no etc folder in the drivers folder.
Turned off DNS Server. gpedit.msc not found when calling it in "run".  This is the first time I've used 64bit anything, so a bit of a newb in that respect.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
As you would know, some of the Windows 7 users can’t save the host file how they like it. The host file itself will simply vanish what the user had done with it.
In my scenario, I was unable to fix this even after all the instructions provided in above posts. Hence, I have come up with my own idea and luckily it
    worked.<o:p></o:p>
For those users who experience this problem, here are the instructions to fix it.
First of all, you should have the administrative privileges to edit the host file. In normal case, if an admin user directly go to the host file in system 32 and add his preferences
and then save it, it should keep the changes. However, in some wicked scenarios, it will not. I had done a detailed research on this through all the available online forums and even contacted Microsoft several times with no luck.
So, here you go with a correct solution for this problem.
Note: If you are not comfortable with Windows OS and don’t know what you are doing, this process can mess up things.
Hence, do not attempt if you are not 100% sure you can make it.
    Login to an administrator account.
In the run command (Windows key + R) type, “control folders” and hit enter.
Click on the tab called view.
Select the radio button for Show hidden files, folders and drivers –ON.
Uncheck the ‘Hide extension for known file types-ON
Click on Apply and then OK.
Type “drivers” in run command and hit enter. It will take you to where the folder “drivers” located in System 32.
From the “drivers” folder, double click the folder named “etc.”
Now you can see the “host” file along with others.
Now, in the search area in start menu, type “notepad.exe” and open the notepad.exe as administrator. (In order to do this, you can right click on the notepad.exe shown and select
“Run as Administrator.” If UAC prompted, click YES/OK)
Now, you will have a notepad open with administrative privileges.
At the top left side of the notepad click on “file” and then select “Open.”
A box will appear which will allow you select the file to open. Carefully, navigate to the location where the “host” file is located. To do that, select the drive where you
installed Windows. If you have the Windows installed in C: select ‘Local Disk (C :)’ > Windows > System 32 > drivers > etc. At this point, you might not have another option to proceed or select from. The window would be empty. To proceed further,
select the option “All files” from the drop down menu which is located above the “Open” and “Cancel” button. You can now see all the files located in etc folder.
Select “hosts” from the menu and click on “Open.” Note: You can either click on open or double click on the file.
Now, you will have the host file information open in the notepad which you had already initiated before with administrative privileges.
Make whatever changes you as you wish. (Example: If you need to block a web site called
    www.block123.com you can type 127.0.0.1
www.block123.com right under the local hosts.
Make sure you do not change any other letters or characters which are already saved in host file.
This will completely mess up your computer. For more information on the information about host file, refer the Microsoft web site:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034 . If you
have accidently delete/edit anything from host file, please delete the complete information stored in host file and copy and paste the host file information from Microsoft which is appropriate for your Operating System.)
Click on “file” again and select “Save as” and save it in etc. If the path is showing correct to etc folder, save it to etc. If it is navigated to somewhere else, follow the
instructions provided above and select etc folder and then save it.
Now, go back to the actual host file location which is in System32 > Drivers > etc (You would have it already open if you had followed the instructions just like the way
    I have provided)
There you can see 2 host files. One which has already been there and the other one you just saved.
Among the two, one is called “hosts” and the ‘type’ would be ‘file.’ This is the original host file. The other which you have just saved will be named as “hosts.txt” with the
    file type as ‘Text Document.’
Right click on the original host file and select rename. You can even click on that file and press F2. This will enable the option to rename the file. Rename the original host
file as “hostold” and hit enter.
Now, select the second host file which we have saved as a text document and rename it as “hosts.” Make sure that you DELETE the .txt file extension in order to change the type
“Text Document” to “File” and hit enter.
Now, you have successfully saved the host file with your preferences.
You can now delete the file which we renamed as “hostold.”
We are done. You would need to do this process all over if you need to edit the host file again. I know it is difficult, however, it is our own requirement and we have to invest
    few minutes on this.
Enjoy your computer with a great feeling that you have finally edited the host file as per your wish and take it from here. Wish you luck.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

    Hi SidduSekhar,
Based on your description, I need to verify the things below:
Which browser did you use? Did this issue occur with all the browsers?
Is the cookie disabled in the browser? If yes, please enable it.

  • Unable to Edit Photos in iPhoto '11 on when Original is Missing iPhotoDiet

When the Original is missing after running iPhoto Diet, iPhoto '11 is unable to edit the image at all.
This is unlike the behavior of iPhoto '09 and previous versions, which would make the current copy the new "Original".
Can this be fixed by iPhoto or is there an way to manually make new "Originals" based on the current rotated photos?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TA22873?viewlocale=en_US

When the Original is missing after running iPhoto Diet, iPhoto '11 is unable to edit the image at all.
That is correct - you must NEVER make any changes of any sort to the content or structure of the iPhoto library using third party programs that are not fully i{Photo aware and tested - and you certainly should never do any operations on the iPhoto library without a backup
This is unlike the behavior of iPhoto '09 and previous versions, which would make the current copy the new "Original".
iPhoto has NEVER done that to the best of my knowledge - iPhoto diet may have and may not with iPhoto '11 - that is a subject for iPhoto diet support - not iPhoto support
Can this be fixed by iPhoto or is there an way to manually make new "Originals" based on the current rotated photos?
No you must either put the library back exactly like it was, load your backup or start over
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TA22873?viewlocale=en_US
What part of this warning did you not see as important?
    To prevent this issue:
*Leave the contents of your iPhoto Library folder alone, and allow iPhoto to manage the images as designed.*
Update to iPhoto 5.0.1 or later. This update will prevent the loss of non-RAW images, but it does not eliminate issues with RAW files.
*Minimize the risk of image loss by keeping good backups:*
Export your current library as a backup copy.
*Back up new photos as soon as possible after taking them.*
If you already have good backup habits and copies of all your images outside of iPhoto, then obviously there is no need to export your current library. _*For those of you who haven't been backing up, exporting your current library will start you on the right path.*_

highly motivated to get this solved.
Attached is the code and the stylesheet. the contentleftdir
is the div I am concerned about. The style sheet passes validation
    John

I tested your source code in Contribute CS3, and the div
seems to be editable after doubleclicking it. This is caused by the
combination of Contribute handeling css and the settings for
contentLeftDir, more specific the height setting and overflow. When
you remove these, the div can be edited normally.
    #contentLeftDir {
    width: 318px;
    padding: 30px;
    float: left;
    height: 525px;
    overflow:auto;
Maybe you can solve this issue by placing two editable
regions inside of each of your placement divs (contentLeftDir and
contentRightDir) instead of placing the divs inside one editable
    region.
Or you can tell the client to double click the div of
    course.
