Unable to email from within Adobe Reader 7.1.0 (File, Email)
On a Windows 2000 Terminal Server, some users get the following error message when they open a PDF file and then click File, Email:
Microsoft Exchange: The object could not be found
I have no idea why this is happening for only certain Terminal Server users ...
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the same problem with Adobe Professional after updating to version 7.1.0
Then I reinstalled the original 7.0.0 version and its OK now.
But I can not update to version 7.1.0, otherwise I wil have the same problem. And we missed all the other updates, because they are no longer available.
There must be a bug in version 7.1.0.
OS = XP
Outlook = 2000
Adobe Professional = 7.1.0

Emailing from within Adobe Reader XI to Outlook 2010 32-bit bounces
I have a wierd one going. The problem appears to be with Adobe Reader XI. If I email from withing Adobe Reader up pops Outlook 2010 and away we go but the email bounces. It says the destination address does not exist. If I open Outlook and browse for the attachment and send it without touching Acrobat Reader it works just fine.
The problem sure appears to be sending from Acrobat Reader. Any clues?I am going to have to ding Adobe. The problem does appear to be on their end. Adobe is detecting the default storage and then using the account associated with that storage.
That is totally incorrect and a very sloppy, inaccurate job on Adobe's part. They need to detect and use the default account. Nicely done Adobe! -
Unable to see a font in Adobe Type Kit from within Adobe Muse
While I am able to install a font, Fertigo Pro from Adobe Type Kit, am unable to see the same font in Adobe Type Kit from within Adobe Muse.
Unfortunately, that is not the case. From http://help.typekit.com/customer/portal/articles/1189216-introduction-to-desktop-fonts-fro m-typekit: You are now able to sync fonts from Typekit to your desktop via Adobe Creative Cloud and use them in all your applications for web mockups, print design, word processing, and more.
Using of a font for web mockups is not the same as using it as a web font on a live website. The two uses are covered by different font licenses.
You can use a desktop synced font in Muse as a system font and export it as an image. But to use a Typekit web font in Muse is not currently supported (though you can try the Muse Insider workflow referred to in the other forum post I mentioned above).
Hope this clarifies things a bit.

Unable to open bookmarks in Adobe Reader 11 that were made in Adobe 10
We are unable to open bookmarks in Adobe Reader 11 that were made in Adobe 10.
The OS is Windows 7.
Thanks for your help!Actually, my reply is clear as mud. I'll try again.
If you link from H:\Drawings\System Drawings (Drawings by LOB's)\Network Services\Scada-Wan Drawings\_CAD Files
to H:\Drawings\Site Dwgs\site name
you will get a relative path of ..\..\..\..\..\Site Dwgs\site name.
Clearly this will not work if you move the source file anywhere.
You MUST do one of the following
1. Force an abolute link by linking to a file on an entirely different disk.
2. Maintain at all times the relative relationship between source and target (this doesn't necessarily mean working on live files, but requires COMPLETE coplies of development and live files, with links made within the development files only). -

What is "Error 2379" which is preventing me from downloading Adobe Reader?
I operate on Windows 7.Pat,
I can find no such folder on the C: drive.
I have managed to restore my original Adobe Reader by restoring my system to its condition a couple of weeks back before the problem occurred. (My problem occurred when I tried to update the Adobe Reader.) This original version of Adobe Reader works O.K. again so I'm loath to risk uninstalling it - which is what I was asked to do when I tried running your suggested program' below!

I post documents to our Intranet site and found out recently that Adobe Reader does not recognize certain file names in PDF files. For instance, when trying to open a PDF file with the name
filename10.5.11.pdf in Adobe Reader, the web browser will not open the PDF and the display is blank. When I'm using another computer with Adobe Standard 9, I do not have a problem opening the file.
I would like to know if anyone else has had a similar issue and why Reader will not recognize the file name and Standard does. The version is Adobe Reader 10.1.0 I will request the latest version
and let you know if that fixes the problem
Actually I had changed the name of the file so our associates could access
the file (changed the . to a hyphen) It still made me wonder why Reader
wouldn't open it at that time.
Thanks again for you assistance and I will let you know if this resolves
the issue.

Susan

Hi Susan,
Thanks for providing the information.
Could you also let me know what is the exact version of Adobe Reader on
your system. You can check the same y clicking on Help > About Adobe
Reader X.
In case its not 10.1.1, please try updating to the latest version and see
if the problem persists.
Also, does any other PDF with a different filename open in Internet
Explorer correctly?
Thanks
Ankit

My daughter is running Adobe Reader 9.4.5 and Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X
on a Dell Dimension 4400 system with
Windows XP Home Edition version 2002 Service Pack 3.
During a full system backup using Seagate DiskWizard version 11.0.8326
each time folder C:\Windows\Cache\Adobe Reader 6
is accessed the pc freezes with the Blue Screen error
IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL ERROR 0x0000000A
(0x00000166, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804E5443).
Each time the Adobe Reader 6 folder is opened manually, the system presents a spinning
CD icon superimposed on the cursor and attempts to access the CD drive.
The access ultimately fails since there is no CD loaded because there is no intent to install
anything at the moment.
Through a manual process of backing up each of the the files in the Adobe Reader 6 folder
individually, one at a time, I strongly suspect the problem file to be instmsiw.exe.
Can the folder C:\Windows\Cache\Adobe Reader 6 and the files it contains simpley be deleted?
Are there any registry entries or issues that must be addressed before deleting these files?
What is the best way to free up space on the C drive that is apparently being occupied by
files left over from the install of a prior version of Adobe Reader?
The folder C:\Windows\Cache\Adobe Reader 6 contains the following files:
0x0409.ini 5KB Configuration Settings 2/18/2003
abcpy.ini 2KB Configuration Settings 3/24/2003
Adobe Reader 6.0.msi 2198KB Windows Installer 5/19/2003
Data1.cab 23334KB WinZip file 5/19/2003
instmsia.exe 1669KB Application 3/11/2002
instmsiw.exe 1780KB Application 3/11/2002
Rdr60ENU.itw 16KB ITW file 5/11/2003
Rdr60ENU.mst 4KB MST file 4/16/2003
Setup.exe 212KB Application 5/19/2003
Setup.ini 2KB Configuration Settings 5/19/2003
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and uninstall Adobe Reader 6. That version poses a security risk to your system and should be removed a.s.a.p.
After you remove it, reboot and then delete the "Adobe Reader 6" folder at the location you mentioned above.
Then go to http://get.adobe.com/reader/direct/ and download version 9.4
After that installs, download the latest patch for it by opening the program, then go to Help | Check For Updates.
As a precaution, download the free version of Malwarebytes from here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free and then run a full system scan. -

how do I tell Adobe reader to open a file instead of being prompted to save the file?

Adobe Reader could not open "file"
Adobe Reader could not open "file" because it is either not a supported file or it has been damaged. All files and programs on the desktop are shown as Adobe Reader ikons. When I remove the Adobe Reader program, the desktop is ok but when I reinstall the Adobe Reader it makes a mess again on the desktop and in all programs. It seems that the Adobe Reader is somehow a default program for all applications. How do I solve that problem? Best regards Helle D.
For your first question: are you sure that 'file' is a PDF file and that it is not damaged? And you may find this useful for your second question:
