Unable to enter Add Contact screen

Hello,
My daughter recently upgraded her Blackberry and gave me her old 8900 after she had transferrred all data to her new phone. She was on a Vodaphone contract.
I removed my Pay-as-you-go sim card from my old Motarola and fitted it, everything fine, 8900 up and running. All my contacts appeared but when I go to add or edit a contact , I cannot enter the Add Contact screen, I can open any of the contacts (edit dos'nt work either) but cannot open said Add Contact screen!!
The phone is unlocked and Orange are indifferent to the problem.
Any ideas anyone?

Since I've had a vast amount of reponse from this Support Forum, I've eventually cured the problem myself.
When I inserted the Orange sim card I neglected to wipe the hand set of all previous sim card data,
To do this:-
1. Remove sim card and media card
2. Go to Options/ Security Options/ General Settings
3. Press menu button,and select "Wipe Handheld" and click yes to confirm
You then end up with blank empty phone which if you've done a Backup you can then restore all data back into the phone. Sorted!!

I Want to make a screen similar to Add Contacts screen in iphone. I've not been able to create the first row which has a Add Photo (Image View) and a cell for name against it.

Unable to enter CFMX7 Administration Screen

I have made sure all updates have been applied, restarted all

Unable to retrieve full contact screen by clicking track pad/ Facebook app update coincidence?

Recently I discovered that when I navigate to a particular contact (it just happens to be the people I talk, email, text with most often) their information doesn't open up when I click on the trackpad. This only seems to be happening with specific contacts and not the majority of people in my address book. At this point I can only get my frequent contact's specific information (phone numbers, email addresses etc) by clicking the trackpad to find their contact name, clicking again on the menu key (I cannot click view either) and then selecting email, call, sms, mms etc and only then can I do the specific task. This is a new problem so I'm wondering if I've turned off some feature on my frequent contacts when I updated my FAcebook app on my phone. Help!!

Doubtful.
I assume you're speaking of viewing those contacts from navigating to the Address Book?
Try a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner:

How may I change the format to enter new contacts? I need to add a business name and would like to change the defaults to work rather than home.

Troubleshooting a start up script can be difficult. There are some third party programs that also keep logs of start up programs, however for Firefox this may be different.

In the control panel there is also Administrative tools to view event logs, but this may be something a local technician can walk you through.

What if I purchase a device that is still linked to the previous owner's account?

Screen enlarged and unable to enter passcode

Hi Jon-Ren: I had recently updated my Iphone 4s software to the latest one. and prior to this update, I did have the same issue of not being able to add or delete to my contact. I don't want to use my Icloud because it will overwrite the new contacts that was in my iphone. my icloud have old contact info which I don't like to overwrite into my iphone contact. I have tried that before and it mess up my iphone contact which prompted me to restore everything from scratch. it's a pain in the butt. I hope someone can find a solutions to these issue. I've viewed all the commenst above and I have done them all without any resolutions. I've been contemplating to give up on buying apple product(s) in the near future because of these issues. Hope somebody can share their experiences and help resolve this issue. I'm sure I am not the only one having this problem. Thanks...

Unable to add contact

I have just discovered Skype To Go.
I have put two people on my contact list and made a very satisfactory call to one of them.
All attempts to add a third contact fail:-
I click 'add contact' then enter the name, country and number and click 'save'.
The window closes and re-opens but the new contact is not there.
I have plenty of credit.
Can you help?

Choose which account to add contact

I have an iPhone5 with ios 8.1.2. I have 2 gmail accounts on my phone, a personal account, and a joint gmail account with my husband. The "default" account for notes and contacts is the joint account, so both hubby and I can see a contact change or share note information. However, sometimes, I want to add a note or contact (from a text message) to my personal account instead of the joint account.
Is there an easy way to do this?

Perhaps I wasn't clear. Here is an example.
I got a text message from someone that is not in my contacts, so the message says it is from "888-555-1212" (number used for illustration purposes)
After determining who the sender is, I want to make a new contact for them, so that the next text message comes in from "Apple" (name used for illustration purposes)
On the Text message, I click on Details
On the Details screen, I click on the
On the Info screen, I click on Create New Contact
On the New Contact screen, I enter Apple under the company name and click Done.
However, this creates the contact in my default address book (my joint account). What do I do different to create the contact in my personal account (which is NOT the default address book)?
