  • Properties disappear in CSS Designer panel intermittently

    I am experiencing the properties for a CSS rule dissaperaing intermitantly from the CSS Designer Panel but not reappearing  in CC since the latest update. The only way I have been ableto fix this has been to quit DW and re open. Sometimes happens 3 to 4 times in a row then maybe not for days. I am using fluid grids for this project. Has any one else experinced this and is there a fix.
    Very anoying bug - seems the last update created more than it fixed

    The link to the latest page this is causing a problem on is...
    http://www.branchingoutcairns.com.au/services.html
    .....there are others from other projects which leads me to believe it is a DW bug but have a look you might pick up something for which I would be grateful
    The issue comes around when ever you try to alter padding or margin or corner radius and not all the time - as I said could happen forur times in a row or not for days

  • CSS Designer panel does not appear in my current version (12.0)...why?

    I am currently taking a Dreamweaver class, online course, and I cannot find CSS Designer panel anywhere.

    Here's how things stand.
    CS6 version 12.0 is the last product Adobe made available for one-time purchase. It doesn't have all the latest features like CSS Designer panel, or improved support for HTML5 and CSS3.
    CC version 13 is by subscription only.  It contains the CSS Designer panel and other features that are not in CS6.
    CC version 14 is the current version offered on the Creative Cloud.  It's by subscription only.  It contains the CSS Designer panel and other features that are not in either CS6 or CC 13.
    If you are a qualifying student, you can join the Creative Cloud full plan at a discount (60% off).

  • Is the classic css panel only available in C6? I hate the dumbed-down css designer panel

    Im currently testing Dreamweaver CC 2014 during the Trial period. So far I like the interface but I HATE the css designer panel. I've been using Dreamweaver for 7 years and the classic css panel was one of the key components I use on a daily basis. For me this is a deal breaker -  Im in the middle of a major design project and dont have the time or the patience for this cluttered and dumbed-down css designer panel. Can the people at Adobe at least give the seasoned users the option to have the classic designer panel? Or should I just stick with the old CS6 and keep using it until something better comes along?

    For a while, we had the choice of panels, but it looks like that option has been removed, have a look here https://books.google.com.au/books?id=nfDpAQAAQBAJ&pg=PA94&lpg=PA94&dq=dreamweaver+cc+class ic+css+panel&source=bl&ots=Lut…

  • Try to browse for a background img in CSS Designer panel, and it closes the window

    Using CSS Designer panel, when I try to select a background image, I use the little folder icon (browse) and when I click on my Images folder the window closes. Anyone get this result?

    Hi All,
    This issue has been fixed in the latest Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 update, which is now live.
    We would encourage all of you to give it a try and would love to know your experience around it.
    Please read this post (Dreamweaver October 2014 release is now live! Read this first.) before you proceed with the installation.
    Cheers,

  • CSS designer panel missing

    I have just installed dreamweaver cc but there is no css design panel, only the old css styles panel. Why?

    Not sure exactly what you were expecting but I doubt if you can ever
    design a CSS!  You can style your page using CSS by applying the styles
    you have created but I doubt very much you can have anything in DW that
    allows you to design a style.  Perhaps it is the terminology in DW
    because DW says "CSS Designer" but it is all about creating your style
    to apply to the HTML tags you might have on a page.
    Can you clarify what were you expecting in DW CC?  I don't use CC but
    there are many people here who are (e.g. John Waller or Ben Pleyser if
    they are not watching the "ashes
    <http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/24942665>") so they can tell you
    how to go about doing what you are looking for.
    Good luck.

  • Where can I find the CSS Designer panel

    Been watching this video:
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/creative-cloud-for-web/adobe-dreamweaver-cc-overview/
    If you go to around 23 seconds, you will notice the 'Biggest update' 'CSS Designer Panel'
    I notice he is changing rounded corners on the fly.
    Where is this in Dreamweaver CS6?
    I can only see the transitions panel.
    Am I missing something?

    Your workspace might be different than mine.
    But the CSS Styles Panel is usually on the right.  See screenshot.

  • Unable to Edit CSS style panel to change Wiget background colors

    Hello my name is Gabriel and Im designing a website using the Sprymenu Bar: Menu Bar 1 that I found on the adobie free template 1.
    I was able to edit the spry menu bar to drop down sub menu's but I was curious hoy to bring up the CSS Style panel so I can change the colors of this Spry Menu bar. How do I bring up the CSS style panel? Could you point me to a color menu so I could change the Colors?

    Hi,
    they work with an background-image, look for example here (it's from widgets of this
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/menubar/MenuBarSample.html):
    #MenuBar6 a.MenuBarItemSubmenu {
    background-image: url(images/star.gif);
    background-position: 5% 50%;
    #MenuBar6 a.MenuBarItemSubmenuHover {
    background-image: url(images/star-hover.gif);
    background-position: 5% 50%;
    background-color: #FF0;
    color: #F00;

  • Problems with css-designer Panel

    can't display CSS selectors/properties  - just gives me an empty grey area. When I click in this gray area, dreamweaver crashes.
    Does anyone have similar problems and can help?
    Thanks in advance!
    (OS X 10. 7. 5. / macPro)

    very strange - I installed Illustrator CC and then I had no more problems with Dreamweaver! No more crashes when close or create files and no more problems with the CSS designer. Error messages during create fluid grid layouts are also gone ...
    Congratulations "pcepp" that you too have found a solution.

  • CC Interface - CSS Designer Panel and Other Panels - do not close

    I do not know what I did, but if I am in Code, Split, Design, or Live view the CSS Panel I have docked on the right does not minimize.  It used to but no longer.  I did not explicitly change any preferences. I just know it is something simple but I am stumped for now.
    Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks!
    Jerry

    Hi Jerry,
    Did you try resetting the workspace in the application toolbar?
    Please read more about customizing the Dreamweaver workspace

    Else you can try resetting preferences for Dreamweaver as well.

  • Cannot create or attach CSS files in CSS Designer panel

    I'm not getting any action with create or attach options in the Sources dropdown menu. Only 'Define in Page' seems to work. What am I missing??
    I've created a simple HTML5 doc with a few page elements and saved it before trying to create my external CSS. I know I can code this, but wondering if this is a bug or I'm just overlooking something.
    EDIT TO ADD: Choosing Format » CSS Styles » Attach Style Sheet... crashes DW.
    ~ DW 13.0 OS X 10.8.4

    I cannot get it to work with any file (old or new). DW is up-to-date plus I've restarted and deleted preferences… no dice. Maybe a re-install is in order... Odd.

  • Confused With Dreamweaver CC and the CSS Styles Panel!

    Hi all
    I'm relativley new to the CC but I'm having alot of fun learning how to use dreamweaver, But now comes where I get confused. I'm learning from Lynda.com "Dreamweaver and WordPres Core Concepts" and as I follow the tutorial regarding the actual structure of wordpress themes I have different panels to the tutour.
    As you can see from the pics I have a different set up and this makes it very hard to follow the tutour.
    I have tried the windows menu but there is no CSS Style Panel, plus I have media, sources, selectors, and properties. Apparently the tutour is also usin CC.
    Can someone please guide me on how to learn dreamweaver with up to date tutourials....

    I'm not familiar with the Dreamweaver/WordPress videos on lynda.com, but if the tutorials are showing the CSS Styles panel, it means that it was recorded on Dreamweaver CS6 or earlier.
    The CSS Designer panel replaces the old CSS Styles panel in DW CC. Since you have access to lynda.com, I suggest that you take a look at James Williamson's CSS Designer overview in Dreamweaver CC Essential Training.

  • CSS code completely fouled up by CSS designer

    I'm having a bunch of bugs with Dreamewaver CC. Inserting images in code view or in design view always places them in the wrong place. For example inserting an image using Cmnd/Ctrl + Alt/Option + i with the cursor placed before paragraph 1 will insert the image after the last paragraph in the document or some other random place in the page. The only thing that kind of works is that the insert stays in the right div.
    That's not the worst of it. I made a few edits to a fluid layout using the new CSS design panel and all of the line feeds and line breaks have dissapeared making the code extremely hard to read, troubleshoot and edit. Has anyone seen this?
    Here's what the code looks like now:

    Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this and turn it back into readable code without going through each line and looking for natural breaks?
    What a mess.
    Mac, OSX 10.8.4, Dreamweaver 13.0  Build 6391
    NOTE: If I use something like Styleneat to clean up this code it seems to break the styles for the Mobile and Tablet layouts and causes Dreamweaver to crash every time I turn on or off the fluid grid layout display.

    Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this and turn it back into readable code without going through each line and looking for natural breaks?
