Unable to export a pdf in Safari

I wanted to select pages from an online pdf file and create a pdf of those on my MacBook Pro.  Safari returned a message that it could not export a pdf.  I think it worked recently, so the error message is new to me.  Is there a circumvention?

I'm having the same issue.  I tried print to file (PDF) and got a blank one page.  Neither are working.  This is frustrating.  New Safari update to blame?

  • InDesign is unable to EXPORT TO PDF or to PRINT TO PDF.

It is able to do so with other files, but unable to do so with a large poster (36" x 30"). It stalls/gets stuck at 13% everytime, and just stays there. The poster has a large map from ArcGIS as the background, which might be the problem (large file size). The map is placed in indesign as a PDF. I have searched all the forums and seen that many people have had similar, but slightly different problems. I have tried changing the preset from high quality o smallest file size. I have tried everything I can think of. No error messages appear; the background task just keeps running. I can see that it is still doing something because it takes up a lot of CPU. How can I resolve this?
My system: Win8 PC, 12GB of RAM

I may be wrong and I know very little about the subject, but is this a Geospatial PDF?
Does it have an attachment; an XML data file that is used internally by the PDF?
I tried several methods of Optimizing a PDF for the USGS that was 22.75x29 inches.
Not much luck. But I tried exporting as a TIF at 300 ppi.The resultant TIF looked OK, but you should inspect it to be sure elements aren't missing.
When I tried at 1200 ppi it threw up an error message.
Since this is only being used as a background.maybe 300 ppi would be enough.
Normally I would never recommend rasterizing a PDF, but this seems like an exception.

  • Unable to export to pdf in Form Central

I am attempting to export either a form or a report to pdf, everytime I try I get this error: The file was not saved because either you have cancelled, or a previous version of the file was open and could not be overwritten.
I am the only one testing this right now so I am not sure why I am getting the error.
I am using IE8, only one allowed now by my company.

    Hi,
This behavior has been reported before when a user upgraded their Flash Player version prior to working with FormsCentral in IE8. The issue was resolved by signing out of FormsCentral and closing the browser. Could you please try that?
    Thanks,

  • Unable to export to pdf from crviewer

    Hi
I have a code scripted in visual basic 2008 (sP1) where a report gets loaded and displayed in the the crystal viewer. My report display's  in the cRViewer, however when i try to export the report to  a pdf i got the following error message:
Method 'ISCREditableRTFExportFormatOptions_reserved5' on type 'CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel.EditableRTFExportFormatOptionsClass' from assembly 'CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel, Version=11.0.3300.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' is overriding a method that has been overridden. I have tried to export from the 'export button' as well as programmatically using the 'ExportToDisk' option. with no luck
Has anyone else come across this error or any workarrounds?

Looks like you are using .NET 2008 with CR XI release 1 (11.0). CR XI release 1 is not supported with .NET 2008, only CR 10.5 (Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008) and CR 2008 (12.x with SP 1) work and are supported in .NET 2008. Please see [this|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/CrystalReportsassemblyversionsandVisualStudio+.NET] wiki for more details.

  • Export as pdf from safari does not save correctly

I used to be able to print a page and save it as pdf. When I do this the page saved is blank. What is going on? This is since updating to Mavericks.

It happened in Firefox as well and the preview image in the print dialog box was blank. Trashing two adobe pdf plug ins from the /libraryInternet/plug-ins fixed my issue. I am not sure if this will cause me issues in Adobe Creative Suite but so far it looks okay. I am not sure what you mean by /applications/utilities/console How do I get look at the console? I opened the application and I have no idea what to make of the Console.

  • Exporting to PDF from PageMaker 7.0 in Classic

Since upgrading to 10.4 I have been unable to export to PDF from PageMaker 7.0.1. Adobe tech support says there is a problem with the Adobe Postscript driver. I have downloaded and installed a new Adobe PS driver but still get a message that says Adobe PS cannot be used because of an internal error. There is a code (-30581). Anybody having this problem?

Did Adobe say your copy might be corrupt, or there was a general incompatibility between AdobePS and your Classic version, or what please?
I don't happen to know a specific solutioni, but you might try this workaround, even though it sounds rather klunky until you're used to it:
Use Apple's own Desktop Printer Utility to built a virtual Desktop Printer using Translator Postscript, which will automatically be set as the default Classic printer, even though it doesn't actually appear on the Desktop, and should be accessible through either AdobePS or Apple's own LaserWriter driver.
Tell that to print to File, which should produce a .ps file that will double-click open in Preview, which can convert to PDF.

  • Unable to view flash in PDF in Safari

    Hello,
We recently upgraded to PDF Reader XI and Flash player on our MAC computer. We have PDF files with flash content embedded. When we open these PDFs using Safari browser on MAC we are unable to view flash content in PDF. However if we download then we can see flash content in PDF Reader XI.
How do we view flash content within Safari directly?

  • Unable to View PDFs in Safari on iOS 8 devices

Ever since I updated my iPhone and iPad to iOS 7 they have been unable to open PDFs in the Safari application. All I see is a blank grey screen with no indicators that the page is loading or anything of the sort. I recently purchased a new iPhone 6, which is now running iOS 8.1.2 and the problem persists. New device, new iOS, same problem. I have been using an iPad (3rd gen.) since 2012 now and it still cannot open PDFs in Safari. I have been unable to figure out a solution anywhere and nearly everyone online that provides an answer says to simply reset all settings. I've done that several times. The fact that the problem carried over from my old iPhone 5 to my new iPhone 6 tells me I must have some setting set wrong. Any help with this would be great.

Copy cannot be disabled to my knowledge. Did you try quitting Safari and resetting your iPad? To quit an app double click the Home button to reveal the row of recently used apps. Flick up on the page preview and it will fly away and disappear. That quits the app. Then Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

  • Safari will not properly Export as PDF. Files have zero bytes.

Safari will not properly Export as PDF. Files have zero bytes.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
