Unable to export: an internal error has occurred

Hi, everybody,
Just when I was trying to convince myself that I should NOT go back to LR2, no matter how ugly the new import interface is, I tried my first export and this is all I get:
- ping
- UNABLE TO EXPORT: AN INTERNAL ERROR HAS OCCURRED ?:0 ATTEMPT TO INDEX NIL VALUE
I am using Vista up to date on a 64 bit system
Anybody else having this problem? any solutions?
Why, oh, why, did I not stick to the old efficient and working LR2, the noise reduction filter lured me into this mess

Solution - try to limit the number of files you are exporting.  I came to this forum as I was running  into the same problem, but I worked it out for myself.  It appears the ability to export multiple files  is limited, either by number or by memory.  I'm running Vista with 4GB,  and I was limited to around 100 files at a time.  So I broke my export into a  number of smaller exports of around 100 files each, and it worked.
I tried the other solutions - syncing metadata, writing metadata to files, no plugins, etc., and none of those propositions worked.  The only thing that worked was limiting the scope of the export.

  • When I try to export from LR I get an internal error message :  An internal error has occurred ?:0 attempt to index a nil value

All of a sudden when I try to export images from LR to my HD...I get the following error
    Unable to Export:
An internal error has occurred ?:0 atempt to index a nil value.  What does this mean?  How do I fix?

    Hi,
Same problem here. I am trying to export files from RAW format to JPEG. I am setting the output size to 2000k. I get the error message:
Attempt to index a nil value
The behavior is a bit random. If I export a large number of photos, some will work some won't. If I retry a picture that failed, it sometimes works or keeps failing. The input images are fairly similar in sizes.
In some cases, there is no error message but the new reduced-size image is not created.

This export operation was working previously (i.e., previous version of LR). I installed the 5.5 version on June 28 2014. The bug is probably in the new version of LR.

  • An internal error has occurred. I am unable to open any pdfs???

I just upgraded to the Adobe Reader XI. I can open pdf's on my harddrive, but not in oulook.  Any attachment sent with an email gives me the error message: An internal error has occurred.

What is your operating system?  What is your Reader XI version?

  • When I try to import, I receive the following message: "An internal error has occurred: not enough memory".  I always download my photos onto an external hard drive.

Yesterday,I downloaded an update for Lightroom 5.  Now when I try to import, I receive the following message: "An internal error has occurred: not enough memory".  The message comes up right after I click import, before I choose a file to upload. Here is the information I can think of that might be needed to answer this question:
    - I always download my photos onto an external hard drive. It is about 10 % full.
    - It says I have Lightroom 5.6  64 bit
    - I am working from a newer laptop (Windows).  The internal drive on the laptop has 289 gb and I am using 61 gb total memory.
    - I have edited 2794 photos in Lightroom and it is all in one catalog.
    - I did not have this problem until I made the update.  I did have my first "bug" earlier this week when one of my photos had a line show up through the middle of it when I exported it. I was able to export it a second time without the line.
If there is more info. needed, let me know.  I do photography as a hobby and know enough about Lightroom to edit out blemishes and adjust color balance, but not too much more, so forgive my ignorance if this is an obvious fix.
    Sincerely,
    Adrianne

Not Enough Memory typically refers to RAM.  How much RAM do you have on your 64-bit OS computer?  Do you have other programs running that may be using most of the memory?

  • 'Abnormal program termination. An internal error has occured.'

Hi all... i have a problem when i'm in the middle of infra installation (74%) and then this popup message appears and stop my installation 'Abnormal program termination. An internal error has occured. Pls provide the following files to Oracle support:

    "/oraias/oraInventory/logs/installActions2010-08-18_11-03-52AM.out"
i have tried several ways and many times to reinstall, to solve this error but still the result is still failed. i've tried to follow metalink suggestion by Edit the PATH, CLASSPATH, and LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variables so that they do not reference any Oracle home directories, try to transfer again the software installation to directory server and extract from cpio files(i thought maybe the software might be corrupted) but the result is still same, stuck at the same place..! if any of you have experienced this before or have any idea on which setup do i have to look again, pls reply me ya. pls help and your help is very much appreciated.thanks in advanced.

    Hi, welcome to the forums!
Have you already added the new node to Clusterware?. Have you followed all the steps detailed on the documentation?
The note *How to Add Node/Instance or Remove Node/Instance in 10gR2, 11gR1 and 11gR2 Oracle Clusterware and RAC [ID 1332451.1]* is a must read, which points to the public documentation.
If you already did that previous steps, you can enable a more detailed logging for the addnode execution with the parameters "-debug -logLevel finest", and setting this variables before running it again:
    export SRVM_TRACE=true
    export SRVM_TACE_LEVEL=2Regards.

  • An internal error has occurred

    Hi there,
I get the following error in Lightroom 2, Mac OSX 10.5.4
    An internal error has occurred.
bad argument #3 (boolean expected, got number)
When I try to export a photo, regardless of whether I click the "Export" button, use the file menu or right click > export.
If I use the "burn to full size JPG" preset however, it does work.
Extremely frustrating at the moment, i've tried to reinstall lightroom, no joy.

Ok, might have cracked it by going to ~/User/Library/com.adobe.lightroom and deleting all the preferences files.
I had LR1, LR2Beta and LR2 preferences files all in there. I'd assume it was reading a bung preference in the beta file?

Check that WS-Management service is installed and running on server SCVMM01.dom.local. For more information use the command "winrm helpmsg hresult". When we want to create a template of a virtual machine, we receive the following error. The environment has the following components and servers:
    * Windows Server 2012 R2 U1 with Hyper-V role enabled
    * High available Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 RU2 (two virtual servers on Hyper-V 2012 R2)
    * High available Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 Library servers (two virtual servers on Hyper-V 2012 R2)
    There're a few things I've already checked:
    * Self-signed certificates in the Trusted People store --> OK
    * Windows Firewall turn off --> OK
    * Re-added a Hyper-V host to the SCVMM environment
    * Reboot the VMM servers and the library servers
    * Export port usage and conflicts with netstat -a -b --> OK, no conflicts
    * Free disk space on the VMM library servers --> OK
The job is starts fine, but step 1.2 "Store virtual machine W2012R2TMPL from HV01 to CLSCVMMLIB01" Failed. So it looks like the sysprep fase is going well. When VMM is trying to store the virtual machine in the library, it fails.
Who is familar with this issue and can help me find a solution for this?
    Thanks in advance!!
    Mark

Have you installed AppController on the same machine with VMM?

  • An internal error has occurred: db statement finalised twice

Since updating to 5.6 I have regularly had the message "an internal error has occurred: db statement finalised twice". On earlier occurrences, I have clicked the box, and the message has gone away. I have optimised the catalogue, but that doesn't help.
The latest occurrence was when I was exporting 150 photos. The message popped up, and I cleared it, then it came again, and again.... It was obvious that it was going to do it 150 times, so I had to kill LR.
    Anyone any ideas or solutions?

Rob is probably more knowledgeable than I am, but I'd check the LR catalog before doing anything else, just in case.
Go to Edit menu, catalog settings, and set back-up to "When lightroom next exits", and make sure you check the option to test integrity.

  • "An internal error has occurred", what is causing this problem?

Hello, really looking for some help on this issue. A few weeks ago i noticed that i was unable to open any pdf files. I tried the basic troubleshooting methods. I tried to reboot the cpu, deleting current adobe reader and replace with new download (this led me to another problem). So when i was trying to download a fresh version of adobe reader through the DC reader i encountered a new problem. The Adobe Reader DC dialog box was not functioning the way it should. There were no graphics to the load bar, the X box (to stop the download) was not complete, and there was an odd "Adobe Reader DC:warning" title to the box. At the bottom of the box i could select two options, cancel download, or continue. I chose continue and it changed the "Adobe Reader DC:warning--to--> connecting, but would never start to load.
So i have been researching this for the past few hours and am still stuck. I have made some small steps in my troubleshooting. I found out that i can create another user account on my computer and download the client just fine, open adobe, and pdf files. When i log over to my original account i am no longer able to use adobe, and get the "an internal error has occurred". I have also tried to clean up (c:). I did a virus scan, defrag, and deleted other old files. Can anyone help me out with this annoying issue? I am on a Windows 7 64x computer. Please let me know if i need to provide any other information for potential help, thanks in advance
    Alex

There's a suggested fix in this thread:

And more references to the problem can be found by doing THIS.

  • "an internal error has occurred" in trying to open newly installed Adobe Reader 10.

unable to open Adobe Reader 10.1 ; says "an internal error has occurred", I'm using windows Vista 32 bit. Any know fix, or must I go back to using an older, more stable version like 8.1.2.  What's with Adobe if they can't create a better, more stable program? I've seen other have had the same problem and they and I both have trouble trying to find a FREE fix, and nothing found on Adobe site as a clear answer either.

I was frustrated by this problem as well. I even uninstalled and then resinstalled a fresh download: SAME Problem.
Now the problem seems to have been RESOLVED on my Windows Vista Laptop.
Instead of trying to open by double-clicking on file icons, I opened the Adobe Reader from the Windows Explorer. On the first screen appeared the usual Adobe Licence & Terms that I had to ACCEPT. This screen NEVER showed up before after either upgrading to the Adobe Reader X or after reinstalling. After accepting the License and TERMS. this problem does NO longer reproduce.
I have successfully opened fewer than 10 PDF files without the annoying error so far. I hope others will reproduce this "FIX" before claiming this was the root cause of the problem.
Hopefully Adobe will display a more meaningfull error message for such a problem.

"java.io.IOException [Failed to open agent server wallet]"
i think there is a problem with the secure of the Agent<->OMS.
    go to $agent_home/agent_inst/
    execute ./emctl unsecure agent
    after this
execute ./emctl secure agent (insert the OMS Secure PW by prompt for PW)
    now the agent must work.

  • FW  "An Internal Error Has Occured"

Talk about frustrating!!!  Adobe Support? What is that?
I am a newbie, that doesn't mean bend me over?  I have been working on not only learning the Adobe Web Premium software "which is a totally different conversation" but WTF. Back in October I started this new website I am rather passionate about, down loaded Trail Versions from the web. Yea, I know I have alot of programs out there I could have chosen but I wanted the BEST, well that was my thought anyhow. After starting completely backwards I finally got on track to start using the software as it was designed. No thanks to Adobe I found my way through many different articles and blogs and videos. You would think that if they are willing to sell you something for $2,000 they would at least give you direction on how to use this software. Yes I was amazed there was nothing too. Never the less I muddled through it and got beyond the BS. Got through AI with little to no problems then came Fireworks.
Since, November I have watched all the lessons on how to use it and not once did the the issues that came up ever, and I mean was never  discussed. I got up to maybe 20 pages. I counldn't tell you the exact number because the file won't open. Of course restarted the web design a few times when I found tips on how to make things better. Never the less I WAS IN LOVE, I told everyone I knew that this was the sweetest idea to come along. Develop Complex Graphics in AI and Photoshop and Design Pages with a Master copy in Fireworks all before exporting the whole enchilada to Dreamweaver or Flex Builder. Then it happened.
About 2 weeks ago a friend of mine call me up and ask me to make a quick Sqeeze Page for him, it took me about 6 hours from start to finish and I was done. Then that same evening I went back to my Original Project. Tried to load it up. HMMMM not enough memory??? Whats that? I have been working on this file and never had problems before. So stupid me thought Hey I know I will just get in contact with the ADOBE SUPPORT TEAM.  Hello, thats where I purchased this program RIGHT? Chirp Chirp Chirp.
Gave them a complete description of what I just explained here and I got a response back.  It took them 2 days to respond and the response was " CAN YOU SEND ME A SCREEN SHOT OF THE ERROR" your kidding right. OK, I sent them a screen shot "Not enough memory to open file". Again 2 days later I got another response " Have you checked the Forums for your answers yet?" What is That? Are you kidding me. Has ADOBE gotten so big that they are unwilling to help their customers who spend a boat load of money on their software.
So Here I am. The proud father of a six month endever to sit around and wait.... After reading some forumns and learnig about all the things ADOBE didn't want to know. After searching and deleting fonts I know get FW "An Internal Error has Occurred" while trying to open the file. I know this happened to me awhile ago when I was still using the Trail Version and I just opened a smaller file first and then opened the file without any problems. So I tried that and the earlier version of my file opened just fine. But when I tried it this time, opening the Latest Version the Final Draft of all my revisions countless hours of modifications I simply get " An Internal Error Has Occurred" Simple yet effective, no other information or debugging information just an "Error"
This is what I have done so far:
I have moved/delete and modified the following:
    1. FW Preference file
    2. Restarted my stupid machine to clear memory.
    3. Moved or deleted the Adobe Fonts that where installed.
    4. Even Ran My Vista with 3gigs of memory in a lower performance setting to hopefully resolve this problem.
What am I missing besides buying a really great software from a Company that doesn't have time for its customers that keep them in BUSINESS.
Seriously, I have NEVER purchased a program that I was ot able to fix nor was not able to get the Vendor to fix. New experience for me.

P.S.S. I would like to send this file on an open forum like this one. However, I don't think it a wise idea to openly share any web concept openly (bad business). Any other ideas?
Put your .png on a Web site or document file share (I like drop.io, myself) and then send a link to the file in a PM to Linda, Michel, or me. I'm still using CS3, so I could have a go at separating your pages. (That would be new for me, though, as I don't use the pages feature.)
Linda is an Adobe Community Professional and Michel and I try to help out when we can. You can look back in the forums for posts by all of us.
I've been designing sites for...well...years. I have my own styles and ways of working. I might admire your work, but I won't steal your art. When I want to browse other designers' ideas, there are many great (and guilt-free ) places to go, starting with Smashing Magazine and Design Meltdown:

  • Adobe Acrobat, An internal Error has Occured

As per usual with this product, when ever you need it most an extremely annoying issue happens!
All I am trying to do is open a damn .pdf and every time I attempt this, I get the same ol' issue "An Internal Error has Occured"
Seriously, I thought this may have been sorted out by the plethora of people working at Adobe by now.... But No!Even if I try to open Acrobat Pro, it does the same shite!
    Ok,
So after an Adobe uninstall, Adobe system clean followed by re-install I can now get Acrobat to run but ONLY when given administrative control. I still am unable to get .pdf's to open on their own with out the 'internal error has occured' pop up! However, I am able to open Acrobat then drop the pdf into it, which then opens it!!! Kind of *******' annoying really!!!

Not sure if you've found a solution, I have not.
Not sure what else I can do aside from reformatting the drive and reinstalling the OS an load software from scratch.  I've restored the system to last October, removed and reinstalled Acrobat Pro X to no avail.  This problem is only affecting my install of Acrobat X Pro as all PDF files open without error in FoxIt Reader.
I'm not a systems guy, so I wouldn't have a clue about what to look at in the registry.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks!
