Unable to export Groups and users list

Hi,
We have just upgrade BO from XIR2 to V3.0. We need to create an Excel file wich shows links between all users and all groups. Is it possible to query the repository ? Does it exist a functionality in the CMC interface to copy quickly all the links between all users and all groups into an Excel file ? We have to many links (1000 users and 40 groups) to do it manualy.

you can have this from the audit schema if you have your audit services is enabled for some specific servers.
then you can use query builder to query the audit schema about users, groups , reports and all the objects related to the business objects system.
dorp me some mail i will guide you to some good third party software which do all those things for you with easy and fast way,

I am creating a community emailer portlet for emailing the users of a community. I want to use a pt:tree that lists the groups and users who have membership in the community. I want the individual users, groups and users in groups to be checkable. I've been playing with the pt:tree for a while now without success. Can anyone help? Powershell script for security groups and users for multiple share folders

Hi scripting team,
I need your help with powershell script for the below queries
1. List out the security groups for more than one server share path and output it to a file ( csv )
For eg.
If the are are two share paths
\\servername\foldermain\folder1
\\servername\foldermain\folder2
So I needs the list of security groups for each share path
And the output needs to be under each any every path.
2. Grab the users belongs to main security groups and it nested groups for more than one security group and listed the users under each and every group. No need to display nested groups. Just users belongs to main group and users under nested.

1. grab the security groups from the share paths
if can grab the share path from a separate txt file than copying it to the <your path> location
so i can modify the txt file
once run the script
if can the output like below to a CSV file
\\servername\foldermain\folder1group 1group 2group 3\\servername\foldermain\folder2group 1group 2group 3then i know which groups belongs to which share paththen i can remove the duplicate groups and keep the common groups to grab the users belongs to itso with the second script same as the first copy the security groups to a txt file and the out put as below.what I needs is the users full name and the samaccount name ( user id )group 1user1user2user3

Is it possible and does anyone have experience with being able to create an automated load of new groups and users in Adobe Connect. We have an On-premise deploymentwill be setting up the application to be open outside our company to train channel partners. We have a separate database of channel partner contacts, email addresses, passwords, and training groups that they should be in based on their partner company or product knowledge. We would like to be able to create a front end database that would create a group based on the partner company or based on product knowledge. Then we would like to add users to these groups. Any knowledge of whether this is possible and if anyone has done it?

There are also size limitations or rather suggestions for particle size. If I were creating an animated 3D shape using Form or C4D and wanted to use it as a particle I would keep the size of the particle about 1/6 to 1/8 of the comp size. You would create a new comp for your particle, animate it, then nest the particle comp in your main comp, turn off visibility, and then use it as a particle in Particular.

Migrating groups and users from QA to Production

I have to migrate security setup with Groups and users from QA to Production box .
setup is in Unix.
Note: my production already have some other projects related groups and Unix.. and when I say migrate, i just want to add the groups from qa to append or add to production with exsiting setup and not to overwrite..
any help is greately appericated

Use the migration wizard and set it to merge, the deltas should be added ok and anything that exists in both systems should get a number added at the end.

Groups and users are not showing up in Hyperion workspace

Hi There
I am having problem with the workspace when trying to give access to reports.Problem is its not showing up groups and users in workspace.But when i tried logging to shared services its showing up all the groups and users.Its trying to communicate with native directory but not with the openldap.
Please help me.

How to list users under multiple groups and users sub groups

Hi, I am stump, which is not hard to do. i have a list of groups and i want to list the users in those groups and then in the next column lists all the citrix only groups for each user. hopefully im describing that correctly. Heres what i have but it is

Synchronize MSAD and essbase groups and users automatic

I know it is not possible to import to Essbase users and groups directly from MSAD or LDAP. All users are deffined with external authentication. There is a way to create an application which make this synchronization possible ? May I have some samples? Thanks. 

If you are using LCM and groups are native and users are external provisioned against the groups then you will need to export the groups, if you want the provisioning against applications then you will also need to take that across.

How to stop users not in any group and users from other groups accessing sites they have no permission to access on top link bar?

    Using SharePoint 2010 Server and UI, a web application
was created with subsites.
    The subsites have unique permissions and Owner, Member
and Visitor groups.
    The problem is however even if a user does not exist
in a group that user can access the top link bar/navigation
bar and its sub sites.
    Also any user in any group can access any top link bar/navigation bar and its subsites.
    How do you enforce that if a user is not in a group
they are denied access the top link bar/navigation bar and its
subsites?

If you are using the built in SharePoint navigation links, SharePoint will automatically hide links to sites that a given user doesn't have access to.
The problem is, it sounds to me like you have a fixed top link bar that lists the content and if a user doesn't have access, the link still shows up.
You may want to look at how the top link bar was encapsulated in the design of the page. If it isn't wrapped in the permissions provider code, that could be the problem.

SSRS - Intellisense for Security (Groups and Users) and email subscriptions

When I add a new user to a SQL Server (In SSMS), I can add an AD Group or user, and SQL server will verify their login name. It will reject if wrong and let me search Active Directory and verify names. In MS Outlook I can start typing an email
address and intellisense will help me complete it.
Is there Intellisense on the Report Server, so when I make a role assignment (giving permissions like Browser to a user) it checks their login or even completes it for me.
Is there Intellisense when I add email address to a subscription?
Was wondering if this is a setting I can turn on, or if it is just not available.
Any workarounds? How do I know I am entering a user correctly, what if I misspell?

According to your description, you want to check the if the e-mail address is valid when creating e-mail subscription. Right?
In Reporting Services, The report server does not validate e-mail addresses or obtain e-mail addresses from an e-mail server. You must know in advance which e-mail addresses you want to use. This is a feature by design. However, if you send a subscription
to an invalid e-mail address, the sender (your service account) will receive an e-mail which tells you the destination e-mail address is invalid.
If you really need to check the validation of the e-mail address before sending the subscription, we suggest you provide Microsoft a feature request at
https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer
so that we may try to expand the product features based on your needs.

I have 300 users and 100 reports in BW system, I want to know the complete list of users and what reports they are using etc...

In which table is the relation stored between purchasing group and user?

it seems to be that a purchasing group is related to an user in the client system i am working for now. I cannot find these relations in HR.
In which HRPxxxx is the relation stored? With which transaction can i change the relationship?

CSSimport.bat error: while migrating the Shared Services groups and users

Hi,
I am trying to migrate the shared services native users and group from 9.3.1(on server A) to 11.1.1.3(on server B)
- I have taken the export in CSV format from 9.3.1 using CSSexport.bat.(export.csv) -Successful.
- I have copied this on the 11.1.1.3 server and changed lil details like removing the admin user etc.
- When I am trying the import this on 11.1.1.3, I am getting the below error:

- I have made the necessary changes to the impotexport.properties file on 11.1.1.3 before starting the CSSimport utility.
Can you please let meknow what should I do to overcome this error.

First thing I would try would be on the 11.1.1.3, try and run an export, if it works then run the import on the same file, this way you will make sure you have the version 11 utility working.
Once you have done that then you can move on to the 9.3.1 export file.

Export "groups" and emails from Mail in OS 9

Hi, I recently zeroed and formated my hard drive to OS 10.4.6 and thought I had lost all of my mother's emails (which were in OS 9.2.1 and OS 10.2.6) and addresses. But as fate would have it I have classic on my iBook G4 (OS 10.3.7) and I found that the files on OS 9 actually contain the emails and address book! I saved a Contacts Export, Microsoft User Data, and Mail (application 5.02).
I was wondering how to export the messeges in sent and inbox so as to upload them onto the OS 10.4.6 version of Mail?
Also is there anyway to know what the "groups" are that were in the Address Book? Because I have the (email)addresses in the program but with like 10,000 email addresses I'm told that they are useless without the groupings they were in. And yes, I mean 11,814 email addresses. Yeah, I know.
Anyway please...PLEASE help.

This is from another topic but it has relevance to what we are talking about.
I'm not sure if this is a "big discovery" or not but I actually did copy the system folder and applications (Mac OS 9) from my iBook G4 running OS 10.3.7 to my iMac G3 running OS 10.4.6. I buurned it onto a CD and to my amazement it works!
I went into Classic in preferences and it found the Macintosh HD (I had restarted a few times, while going through to each step)
I put the system folder and application of OS 9 in to the Macintosh HD just like they were on my iBook.
When it was in Classic and it found the folder, I started it up, it said something about needing to update the folder, and it wouldn't affect boot folder (or something of that nature), so I clicked OK and it started up and I was running Classic.
That is only the half of it. And I had called up a person in Tech Support at Apple earlier in the day and they told me I would need to "Install" off the original 2nd CD (additional software)and that would give me Classic. But I bypassed that and just took the folder from my iBook and put it onto OS 10.4.6.
I restarted.
The whole reason for me doing this stuff with classic was to be able to use my mother's "Mail" application (Outlook Express 5.02) and get her emails and address book back with all of her "groupings" (she has like 10,000 email addresses).
So what I did from there was to get the copy I made of my mother's stuff (I had made a copy of Microsoft User Data, Contact Export, and the Mail application). I then proceeded to swap out the Microsoft User Data That I had on the new OS 10.4.6 with that folder from the OS 9.2.1 and put the old one in documents with the new one on the desktop.
I went to Classic in System Pref. and started it up.
I then went into the Identities folder in the Microsoft User Data (old one), Main Identity, then Messeges (outlook express file). Clicked on it and it said something like "rewriting strings" or something along those lines. It said something about starting up the email again and I ignored all of it because at this point I could see that I successfully got my mother's mail back in classic.
I looked and saw that her address book was there with all her groups. (I should note that I already knew the mail would work because I checked by uploading the same files/folders onto my iBook with Classic's help).
But now I had an operational mail off of my iBook and back onto my mother's computer.
I then decided to press my luck and see if the computer could boot off the OS 9 system folder. I went into Start Up Disk in System Pref. and sure enough OS 10.4.6 was there along with the new OS 9.2.2 system folder. Hmm, should I try it will it work? The guy online I think said it wouldn't work and the "pot-head" guy in Apple Tech Support (he did sound stoned) said I won't be able to do any of this. F*ck it.
I restarted on OS 9.2.2.
It actually booted up and I was on the desktop and I went to see if I could actually use Outlook on this desktop and clicked on it, there was an erroe that said I needed to copy the identities folder from Users:my name: basically just get the identities folder, and move it to the outlook express folder. I did so by copying (option key).
I went back to the outlook express, clicked on it and started it up. It worked, it works, just like it did originally (I should note I already had the Mail set up in OS 10.4.6 to our ISP and it is a POP account, it was set up before I tried any of this). I sent myself an email to anotherr account and it worked.
I had talked on the phone with tech support people for at least a couple of hours, coming to the conclusion that I had improperly backed-up my data (emails,etc.) on both (my iMac G3 was running OS 10.2.8 and OS 9.2.1 before I zeroed and formatted it to OS 10.4.6) OS 10.2.8 and OS 9.2.1 and since I didn't have Classic in OS 10.4.6 I coudn't look and see what had and would have to reinstall from the original install CDs then upgrade to 9.2.2 and then "upgrade" to OS 10.4.6 to even have a chance of seeing what I had; and even though I told them what files I had they couldn't tell me if it was correct. My mother was freaking out on me, I won't go into details but she was extremely upset with me. I felt horrible I couldn't even load the stuff from OS 10.2.8.
I thought I had failed and resigned that it was lost. Then a couple of days later I thought "hmm, I see that my comp has Classic I wonder if it would work if I uplloaded it onto my comp" I found out that both of the back ups I made worked, and that I could import the stuff I had in OS 10.2.8 into my Mail (1.3.9) on OS 10.3.7 on my iBook G4.
I am absolutely ecstatic about the fact that Classic works beyond the bounds of what you guys and everyone else said. I would have wasted a lot of time reinstalling all the OSs onto the computers just to have CLassic and now that I'm upgrading four Macs in my house to OS 10.4.6, I can now have classic without absolutely taking HOURS to upload the installers and do damage control. But thanks to you guys who helped and actually I still need help with exporting and importing messages and exporting my address book in OS 9 but now it is easier and alleviates future problems with other systems (I think ). Thanks anyway.

ISE is unable to retrieve groups and attributes

Hello guys,
I have Cisco ISE installed on EXSi in a lab. I was able to join the ISE server to my test Active Directory server, and under the OU=Computers, I can see my ISE hostname.
However, when I go to Administrator > External Identity Sources > Active Directory > Groups > Add > Select Group from Directory:
I have my domain entered in Domain box and an * for filter. When I clicked the "Retrieve Groups" button, I always received "Number of Groups Retrieved: 0 (Limit is 100)"
It seem like ISE is unable to retrieve the groups that I have on my AD. I checked the status of my ISE server and it says that it is still connected to the domain. When I search for attributes, it keep saying that the user is not found.
I disabled my AD's firewall and still getting the same results. I ran the detailed test connection, and it was a success and the port connections are all good. At this point, I am pretty much stuck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am sorry Jatin. I have another question. I am working on Motorola RFS7000 WLC and Cisco ISE v1.1.1.
I am not sure if I should create a new thread about the new issue I am having now. I have successfully added my RFS controller and one AP7131 to ISE Network Devices. And I am able to login to these devices using my AD account. However, it is not allowing me to manage these devices. I believe I am at exec mode. I SSH to my RFS and I can't even get to enable mode.
