Unable to export Keynote '09 document to QuickTime

I have been trying to export a keynote document to quicktime. I choose the manual transition but when it exports there are no controls that allow me to skip through each video. The manual function works, in that I can click through the presentation but only once each video is finished. How can I rectify this problem?

The movie controls are made visible in QuickTime -- from the Window menu, choose "Show movie properties...". Click on the Presentation tab.
But it won't change the behavior. QuickTime won't respond to any mouse click or keyboard entry until the video segment concludes. Of course, you can physically drag the movie slider.

Cannot Export Keynote to Quicktime

When i try and export a the keynote into quicktime, the result is not as intended. i have recored a video inside of keynote, with animations and different timings. the video is around 8 mins long. when i export it to quicktime, i get a video of 4 seconds in lenght. this is the screen shot of the options i get when i click "File", "Export to", "Quicktime".
any help would be much appreciated

The export options show that the QuickTime export will take the timings of the transitions from the "recording"; every time you press the enter, spacebar or right arrow key, Keynote will advance to the next event.
The recorded timings are wrong, you therefor need to clear the timings and record them again:
1 - Inspector > Document > Audio > click the clear button
2 - click record
3 - click the red start record button at the bottom left, wait for the countdown to finish then press the enter key every time you want to advance to the next event.
4 - when your reach the last slide, click the record button again, then click the X button top right
test the timings are correct by playing the presentation from slide 1

QuickTime movie in Keynote 3 want to export Keynote as QT

So I have a Keynote presentation. It is mostly images but 3 slides play small Quicktime movies. Interviews I did on DV, converted to 320x240 using Sorenson V3 and IMA 4:1 audio. In Keynote 3.0, they now have controls. They play great.
But I need to export the presentation so others can use it without keynote.
The only option seems to be exporting it as as a Quicktime movie.
Actually, with trial and error, the Quicktimes in the Quicktime play great. BUT are missing controls!
So anyone viewing the interactive Quicktime from a CD-R has no choice but to watch each clip. Longest is 17 minutes so a pause or stop is an option that is needed.
Does anyone know how to get those QT controls (or at least stop or pause) into the movie inside the exported interactive Quicktime from Keynote?
Is there a 3rd party solution? I'm desperate.
Alternatively, if anyone knows how to do same but as a Flash file, that would be fine too.
This was problem in Keynote 2.0 as well. My presentation size is big enough.
Considering the convergence of audio and video all over Apple product line, I just don't get why this was not considered for the 3.0 update. I want to export my lectures for students to self run. I'm probably not the only university professor who shows video and would like Apple to deal with this ASAP.

If you have Qt Pro, you can open the file and turn on a controller, then resave the file.

Unable to Export the document in PDF

Hi,
Can any body guide me what general authoriztions settings are needed for a user to export the markeing documents in PDF.
bcz the user at remote location client is unable to export the douments in PDF.

You need to go the authorization windows and in the search box please type "PDF" that would take u to the option that u are seeking then u can assign full read only or no authorizations as per your requirement .
also make sure that the path has been correctly defined for pdf files

Same thing happening to me.
Seems like it's a quicktime bug.
I see some discussion at http://www.jem-thematic.net/en/node/871
It seems to indicate the only way is to downgrade from QT from 7.5 to 7.4.5... and, if you use iMovie, this will also break iMovie, you'd need to reinstall... UGH.

Exporting Keynote to Quicktime - complete loss of sound

Hey,
I’m facing problems when it comes to exporting Keynote to Quicktime.
For a tutorial, I recorded a Quicktime movie of my screen (including my voice as audio). This Quicktime movie is placed on a slide and runs during the whole presentation. I use animations for showing text blocks that give additional info while the movie is running.
In Keynote everything works just fine. But when I export it to Quicktime, *the sound stops as soon as the first animation is started with a click*. From then on I can see both the embedded Quicktime movie and the animations but without audio.
Sometimes it even happened that after doing the first click I could see the animations only, but no Quicktime video / sound.
I’ve spent the last nights with trying changing export settings and so on, searched this forum up and down, but couldn’t find a solution…
Any suggestions?

I just posted this on another similar inquiry. THis may help. I posed a similar question so check the thread "Bottom line...etc." If you follow the guidelines below it should work. The final result is one QT movie with all slides and music. The product was so much nicer than the iPhoto slide shows (although they are OK too. (I don't know about the video in the Keynote might work as described in the initial post here.)
Here is what the final answer was, at least for my situation:
"YESSSS!!! Even after meeting with 4 Geniuses and 1 Creative the answer was still a definite bottom line, "Maybe." Until, I finally realized that the one setting that I was not using correctly was in the Export> QT> Playback. I had been using "Manual" and not using the "Fixed Timing" out of fear that it would change the custom settings that I had on each slide. However, that is not the case. The settings on each slide remain the same even though in this option there are settings for slide duration and build duration. I do not know what those options do but the bottom line is I now can Export to QT and then import to iDVD with both sound and video as one file and they work fine both as an isolated QT file as well as a QT/Slideshow in iDVD. Thanks for the help from all the contributors both recently and quite awhile ago when I first faced this challenge.

Exporting Keynote to Quicktime movie with audio

I am struggling to get this to work although I have done so previously. I have a fully functioning keynote with an embedded quicktime movie and an audio file. The Keynote works fine.
When I try to export it I just get the audio file!! I am opting for 'manual' even thought the Keynote is a looped production without the need for any manual input.
Any ideas? thanks

Exporting to Quicktime with sound seems to have been restored ok in Keynote 09 as I have just tested it on the trial download copy. Up until then I have been importing into Garage Band without sound and adding it there which is successful but I think the quality of picture is better with only one step i.e within Keynote itself.

Unable to export presentation to Quicktime

Hi there,
I was wondering if you could please help me out. I've created a Keynote presentation and, since I know I will have to use a Windows machine (boo) to present the slides, I have tried to export the file as a Quicktime movie.
However, when I open the movie I can only view the first one and a half slides before the presentation loops back to the start!
I've tried over and over again but can't work out what's going wrong - it's worked before on the same machine so I'm at a complete loss!

Tech support helped me solve the issue - uninstall QuickTime and reinstall the newer version of QuickTime

Problem exporting my short Keynote-animation to HD-QuickTime

I am having a problem with exporting a short Keynote-animation to HD QuickTime. For four days I am looking for a solution, but could not find it, so I so hope anyone can help me, please.
I made a short animation in Keynote 5.2, and used 'animation in', 'animation out' and some 'actions'. I looks beautifully, smooth.
When I tried to export is to QuickTime, het images are choking.
I exported in custom settings (1920 x 1080 px), full size, compression: animation; frame rate: 25 (that is what the client wants); key frames: all, depth: millions of colors and quality: best. In the result the images are choking. I work on Mac Pro 4.1 OSX 10.9.
I have tried a lot of other export-combinations, but it keeps being jerking.
Has anyone the same problem and found a solution? For me it seems the problem must be in the exporting. I am desperatie after all these efforts.

The animation codec will not play smoothly on a Mac Pro, the data rate is far too high for this. The Animation codec is an editing codec for use in top end post production suites using Adobe After Effects or other comositing software, it is not designed for general playback using QT player.
If your client wants the Animation codec, supply that but also provide a version using a less demanding codec (H264) for playback.

It's possible to do it but it requires using a script. You can't do it by using the built-in Export Form Data command.

I've unable to Export iMovie project in everyway I have attempted for the past 2 weeks.I have a late 2012 iMac with 8gb of RAM and 700 gb of free space on the hard drive. The video I am trying to export is 48 mins long with most of the source footage from a NIkon D3100 and several other cammcorders. I've been exporting with Apple Intermediate codec because that was the only one that has work so far but it only worked once and since then I have had to make changes to the project and now I'm unable to get it to work. For all Quicktime exports in H.264 or AIC (my prefered format for this export since I figured it'd offer the highest quality when I import it into Encore for making a dvd out of it) Which just stops exporting in the last few minutes without explination as to why or it crashes and quits. It either leaves a partial file or nothing at all. When I do "export movie" I get a "not enough memory Heap zone error"
I don't know what to do any help would be greatly appreciated!
By the way I happen to have Adobe CS6 Production Premium but didn't know how to use it as well when starting the project and now really regret not using it because it appears to be 10x more stable and capable of handling all the tasks I want it to do.

Free Space on Start-Up hard disk. How much ? (other disks do not count)

Are your event clips in h.264? If so, you can solve this by Right clicking on your Event Name and choose "Optimize Media". You can choose Full for 1080P or Large for 960P according to your preference.
After you have optimized your Event, you should be able to Share with no problem.

-108 mean you are running out of (free) RAM.
Try restarting the computer just prior to sharing. That frees up RAM.

Final Entry
Ok - after much cutting, trial and error and days of work I have never really established a root cause for the -108 error. Nothing I did resolved the issue to the orginal project.
The only work around I have found is to split the Original Project into two.
What I found was that anything around the 60 mins mark and above just failed to render in HD and showed the -108 error.
What worked for me was creating two project files - one around 57mins long - the other a part 2 - around 17 mins long. All using exactly the same source clips, photo's, music and transitions as the orginal.
This now works. I guess having it split in two makes it a little easier to work with as I wont have to keep rendering the first part which does not change but really wish Apple would throw some light on this.
Anyway - I hope all of the above at least proves useful for others.

A Web Intelligence report is created using images to denote alerts. The report works OK in Web Intelligence but when exported to Microsoft Excel, the images do not display.

Create a simple Web Intelligence document.
Add a blank cell and within that cell link it to an image. (Either set as background for the cell or Image URL.)
Save and export to Excel. The image will not be displayed.
Cause
Web Intelligence export engine does not support the export of images to excel.
Resolution
In BI4.0, Web Intelligence export engine does support the export of images to excel.
Workaround 1 :
Most image formats are supported in PDF export. Users may be able to use that as an alternative.
Workaround 2 :
If images are required in the final Excel document, the user would need to recreate those image links manually in Excel.

Unable to Export Spaces

I'm trying to export spaces using WebCenter Spaces Administration but I'm getting this error "Export has failed with errors. Error determining if a scope in the export set has document library provisioned". I don't know where to start.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create user scott : and make user WebCenter Administrator (Refer Admin guide)
2. Browser Firefox: Login as weblogic and create Group space: testexport
3.Browser Firefox: Add user scott as moderator member to group space.
4. Browser IE: Login as Scott on another browser and edit the group space.
5. Browser Firefox: As weblogic user, try and export.
Cause
The error indicates the group space is or was edited by another user and the user has not closed/saved the edit mode. This can also occur when user goes in edit mode and then closes the browser.

How to identify which user has got the lock on the page ?
1. Login as Weblogic and Edit the page.
2. A message will be displayed who has got the lock e.g.
On TOP of page this is displayed "This page is also edited by:scott"
Unlock the Edt mode:
3. Login as the user who is holding the lock.
4. Re-edit that page and click on "CLOSE".
Solution 2
1. Apply Patch for 11.1.1.4:
Patch:12808858 UNABLE TO EXPORT A GS WHICH IS IN EDIT MODE
Patch does not exist for 11.1.1.5 as yet.

Trying to export / save Pages1 document to HTML.

Are there any new ways round the difficulties of exporting pages documents as HTML documents? I have Pages 1 and do not want to spend 80 dollars on Pages 2 and after that another 80 dollars on Pages 3.
Will Apple come out with a fix for users with Pages 1 or is there already a fix / best method for exporting Pages 1 documents as HTML documents?

Consider using Keynote instead. It offers more options to export files (File - Export) containing audio and video objects. The extent to which such content will play in the target file format depends. Play around with the different export options and see which is best.
I tried just now in Pages to insert audio (mp3) and video (3gpp - the only format I have that's got small file sizes) and then export but it doesn't work.
Pages does give the option to save media with the file provided one saves - not exports - the file, but that helps little since the resulting file format will be .pages which is not very portable.
