Unable to Export Movie (Error code = -32766)

I get this error message when I try to export as .flv a short (10 sec) movie created in iMovie using three photographs (for use as flash slideshow on a website). Here's what I'm doing: Share>Export Using Quicktim>Export Movie to Flash Video>Save>Error Message.
Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

No it is not answered, but since no one has any comment, just forget I ever posted it.
Bye.

I am exporting using quicktime on my MacBook, Movie to MPEG4, options H.264, Data Rate 1700, image size 768x576 SD, frame rate 30, Key Frame Automatic.
iMovie opens a window that says Exporting project, the line shows progress until it gets to the end, then the error comes up.
Any idea what this error is and what is happening?
    Thanks

What is error -43?  The error is not very descriptive.
    Thanks, Jim

I have my souce movies stored on an external 500gb drive, with 35gb free. The drive in the laptop has 30gb free.
I was able to get imovie to use the external hard drive to store the movies by creating a symlink from $HOME/Movies to /Volumes/Movies.

  • Error code = -32766

I have iMovie version 7.1.4 and QuickTime Pro Version 7.5.5 (249.13) on Leopard.
When I try to Export Using QuickTime i receive Error code = -32766 message.
    Any help please ?
    Thanks
    Jorge

    Jorge,
Welcome to IMovie. If you happen to be editing a file other than avchd you could use IMovie 06 which you can find on the apple website for free. Other than that I have to say I have '08 and '09 and it still is broken. Luckily I have Final Cut Studio as well. You know you could save your money on '09 if you just want to edit video and just get Final Cut Express if you want to edit AVCHD.

Unable to empty trash error code 8003 appears ?

I had the same problem - tried all sorts but nothing worked. Eventually I used a tool called Trash It! which did the job (though apparently it is only to be used as a last resort).

  • TS1424 ipad: Rental movie downloaded 98%.. "unable to download movie" error

    Good Afternoon,
I purchased a rental movie to watch on a plane ride today.  Unfortunately the movie hadn't finished downloading before I left the house.  I've tried 3 or 4 different internet connections (including verified very fast connections at the hotel and starbucks) and I get the "unable to download movie" error.
I can't find a way to delete the rental to try and start the download over, nor does syncing help.  Please assist!
    thank you,

Move movie from iTune to iPad

  • HT1097 Unable to export movie "because file _ has been moved"?

I just made an entire movie in Imovie 08. When I try to export it, I get a box that pops up that says "searching for File (some number like 8 or 10)", at which point the only button I can hit is "stop". Then another one pops up about how it is unable to locate the file because it has been moved, and then I have the option to Search or Cancel. I've tried "searching", but I have no idea what "File 10" or "File 8" are. I have thousands of video files, and none are labeled that way. So I have to hit Cancel and then the whole export is cancelled.
Its obvously saying my files have been moved, but I have no idea where to...nothing has been moved since I started the project.
Help. I've never had a problem like this before.

The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred. (-41)"
error-code# -41 indeed indicates a vague 'memory full' error.
in case, you're using an ext. HDD - is it 'Mac'-formatted? Or fat32, ntfs, etc.?
but this doesn't mean alone the target-disk, but the internal, 'MacOs'-disk too.
    things to test:
    • simply relaunch your Mac - maybe some 'pointers' are simply .. kaputt ..
    • did you partition your internal drive? - if so, the 'macOs'-partition needs at last 20-40 GBs free for any conversion-process.
or is it a 'solid' single partition with some tons of free disk-space?

  • Unable to Publish Project - Error Code -108

I am trying to publish a project (photos only) that is just a little over 1 hour long. About 75% of the way through I get the -108 error. An error code search indicates "error -108 iMemFullErr or memFullErr: Not enough room in heap zone" .....but I have 14gb RAM and a free 1TB hard drive. Any ideas?

I experienced this error code when I was trying to export a movie using the QuickTime option and H.264 format.
Tried a slew of different video settings without success (meaning after a few minutes of trying to export, iMovie would give me error code -108.
Then, I started suspecting the audio format. So, first I exported the movie without the audio tracks and it completed successfully. Then, I tried exporting with the AAC audio encoder instead of the default Linear PCM option, and it, too, successfully exported the movie, with audio.
So, try a different audio format output for your publication.

  • Gkbisd Unable to collect cdhash error code 100024

    What is process/daemon gkbbisd ?
What is cdhash? What means "error code 100024" ?
    One example message:
07/03/2014 9:17:24.443 PM gkbisd[246]: Unable to collect cdhash for /System/Library/CoreServices/Install in Progress.app (error code 100024)
    I have hundreds more
    "/System/Library/CoreServices/Install in Progress.app" ??

It looks like gkbisd is used for verification of code signatures for GateKeeper (the thing that asks you if you really want to open an app when you open it for the first time). It was only added in 10.9.4.
I was getting the same log messages, and found that removing its database and restarting the process stopped the messages from occurring.
Open Terminal and do the following:
    sudo killall gkbisd
    sudo mv /private/var/db/gkbis.db /private/var/db/gkbis.db.backup
    sudo /usr/libexec/gkbisd &
You'll be asked to enter your password to run these commands.
This will kill the gkbisd process, move the database (so it has to build it again), and then restart it.
If you're comfortable with the command line then there should be no harm in deleting the database rather than moving it.

  • Canon HG10 - Export Movie Error -2125?

    HI,
My workflow is basically, Plug in camera, import the clips from hdd (which takes ages since it converts from AVCHD to Apple lossless and takes up much more space than the original movie) - I drag and edit the clips to make a small movie then choose export video and set the quicktime options to 720p - it sits there quite happily spending hours rendering the movie and promptly quits with an error code, why does iMovie doe this, and is there any way to actually export from iMovie 08 at least HD content? (after all it DID import HD content....)
    -M

I have the same error. Tried everything. The project is quite large, so I tried to split it in smaller parts and then sharing to external HD via QT or just export movie with default settings as "large". After ~300 minutes (that is, in fact, 5 hours for just one part) of exporting it says that it could not export the movie due to error -2125. That error number should mean something, shouldn't it? Something to give a clue what is wrong (with me apparently)...
And, no, iMovie 06 will not work either, because it does not support that sony camera.

  • Exporting movie errors

    Hello
I've seen references to these errors in the forum, but no clear indication as to what the fix is or what caused it.
    Export to 1080p I get error -108
    Export to 720p I get rror -50
I am able to export to quicktime....
The movie is 1 hour long. My hard disk has 90GB left, should be enough? I have 4 GB of ram, and am running snow leopard with the latest update, dito for imovie 11, all the latest updates.
I want to burn it via idvd, so I'm not sure if exporting the movie to quicktime is the best way? Quality wise? I'm not a video expert.
Does someone have a clear idea what causes these errors? I can't find a definitive error code listing from apple.
If I can't export this movie in 720p, I will cry myself into dehydration.
    Thank you all

    Update:
I called apple support, and they were very helpful. The jist of it is, in my hour+ long movie, and have many many small clips with many small audio clips as well. This is likely too much for the finalizing process. The solution is to do one of the following:
    1. chop the movie up into quarters, and export them mpeg4 with the h.254 codec
    - reimport them as events and create a new project with the 4 clips
    - finalize them or export them to whatever format you want and need.
This should work just fine. Will give this a go, but running out of time today so will try later on.
    Hope this helps someone else.
