Unable to extract 5.2 and install.

I downloaded 5.2 to a folder on Drive C. I ran the .exe and received a message fro Photoshop Lightroom 5.2 installer that says " A problem occurred while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and write privileges on the destination folder." I am the admin on the system and drive C: has 717GB of free space. This message also appears if I use the default install to the desktop.
In the folder on C: I see:Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 folder Install Lightroom5.exeLightroom 5 Readme.pdf
In the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 folder, I have:Setup32.exe 145,218kbsetup64.exe 0kb.
I am running Windows 7 32bit
When I run the setup32.exe, I get:Error 1152 reading setup initialization file.
On my last try, I disabled the antivirus and downloaded a new file. Everything extracted properly but when I ran the install and got an error. I tried running the setup file directly and got the same error. I've also tried copying the install file from my laptop (where the install worked) and had no luck also.

Win XP Unable to format hard disk and install

Recently my system has got error about system hive error
"C:\windows\system32\config\sysem file missing"
So when I tried to reinstall the system the winxp setup says

Thinking that the hard disk(Seagate Barracuda 160GB SATA) might have corrupted I used Seagate seatools to check for error and the test failed. So I replaced the hard disk with brand new WD 160GB SATA hard disk and started installing the winxp. Again I'm facing the same problem. Even I checked with the new connection port.
I'm using AMD Sempron Processor. MSI K9MM-V Motherboard. dynet 512MB RAM.
As the problem is existing even with the new hard disk I think there is no problem with the hard disk or cable. the problem must be something else.
Please help me find the problem and rectify it.

I've used the same hard disk on another system with MSI Mother Board but it's working fine. Windows XP installs without any problem. I've replaced the hard disk in which the Win XP already exists(Win XP installed on another system with same configuration MSI K9MM-V Mobo, AMD Sempron Processor, 512MB RAM) But it hangs the system and when I restart the system it says,
"Windows Could Not start because the following file is missing or currupt:
\Windows\System32\Config\System
You can attempt to repair this file by starting windows setup using the original setup CD-ROM. Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair."
I've tried this some 10-15 times every now and then this problem is popping up.
So I think this is not the problem with Hard Disk. It must be the problem with Mother Board. So please help me resolve this issue.

Have a minimised system when you install Windows.
A cloned copy of Windows can do this, for example one that a back-up program made.

I am unable to uninstall old itunes and install new itunes 10.7 64bit

When I start up my computer DELL desktop Precision 3500, I immediately get the message that i need to install the new itunes.
I also am unable to open MIcrosoft Outlook in order to get my email.
I go to itunes.com and try to install the new version of itunes 10.7 64bit and it appears to install but will not run until I uninstall the old itunes.
I go to uninstall itunes and it says i do not have persmission to uninstall.
I have been attempting to get this repaired for the past 3 days wilthout any solution.

Unable to uninstall old version and install 9.2

Help!!! When trying to install itunes 9.2 I get a pop up saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable". It then goes on to say..."Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below". I can then browse to a path but nothing seems to work. When I click cancel another pop up says..."the older version of iTunes cannot be removed". Please help

These sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes 9.2 again. Does the install go through properly this time?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Burning and installing 8i Personal Edition after download

I downloaded the Orcale DB 8i Personal Edition (nt817personal.zip) for WinNT/2000/XP.
I extracted the zip file and burned the contents on a CD ROM. During the burn software file scan, I got a message saying that the directory depth exceeds the ISO limt (8), and it could cause problems reading it on old operating systems. Since I intended to install it on Win2000, I chose to continue.
When I tried to install from the CD, the installaion stopped with no error during "analyzing dependencies" stage.
I copied all the files from the CD to the HD and tried again, but encountered the same problem.
Only after I downloaded the original file again, extracted it localy and installed from the HD did the installation go through.
I would like to have a CD copy of the installation file, what should I do ? should I burn the zipped file and extract it locally each time I need to install ?
BTW - I used EZ CD Creator to burn the CD.

The problem is that Personal 8i isn4t compatible with Windows ME. But don4t worry. There4s a solution. Before you install it, modify the WIN.INI file, in the section [Compatibility95], adding Jrew=0x00080000. Reboot your system and try to install it again. Good luck.

When Leopard won't archive and install

I thought I'd relate my experience for those of you that have not yet upgraded. When I first attempted to install Leopard on my daughter's Macbook, the installer wanted to force me to do an erase and install and did not give an explanation as to why. I assumed there was a problem with the disk, so I aborted the install and used Disk Utility to try to repair the disk, but DU could not repair the disk. Next, I restarted in target mode with the MB connected to my iMac, and used Carbon Copy Cloner (file mode - I didn't want to copy a bad block) to clone the MB system to a folder on my iMac. Next, I re-formatted the MB disk and used CCC to reinstall the clone to the MB. Now, with the disk repaired, Leopard allowed me to do the archive and install and all went well.

Well i did once on the new macbook 2.2ghz. When i cannot find the Boot Camp in Utilities, I tried to reinstall it Using restore disk 1. There 3 option to choose 1, upgrade (unable to choose) 2 archive and install (unable to choose) only Erase and Install. When i used the retail pack it let me choose all 3 but then i never proceed. I used terminal to find where is the Boot Camp discover it hidden in the recovery disk. If in that case most of us here facing same problem on different scenario. ;(

Please try again after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already taken.
Step 1
Reset your computer’s PRAM.
Step 2
If your model has user-replaceable memory, and you've upgraded the memory modules, reinstall the original memory and see whether there's any improvement. Be careful not to touch the gold contacts. Clean them with a mild solvent such as rubbing alcohol. Aftermarket memory must exactly match the technical specifications of the machine.
Step 3
Back up all data to at least two different storage devices, if you haven't already done so. One backup is not enough to be safe. The backups can be made with Time Machine or with Disk Utility. Preferably both.
Erase and install OS X. This operation will destroy all data on the startup volume, so you had be better be sure of the backups.
Step 4
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider to have the machine tested.

Sounds like you transferred programs from another drive? This isn't a very good way to do it. Yes, re-install the Adobe apps.

You should not have to uninstall Premiere Elements 12/12.1 in order to install and run Premiere Elements 13 on the same computer unless your computer is overloaded and the computer resources are compromised. Just use one program at a time.
Can you still use 12/12.1 on this same computer that will not let you use 13?
What specific Window operating system are you using?
Let us go through the usual drill...
1. Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
2. Are you using a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse?
3. Did you install the program with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
4. Disable the SLCache Folder found in Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit

and in the Adobe Folder should be the SL Cache Folder that you delete or disable by renaming the Folder
from SLCache to SLCacheOLD.
5. Are you running the program as Administrator and is the latest version of QuickTime installed on the same

When I try to update I get an U44M1I210 error message, "Unable to extract the downloaded files" - help please, applies to latest Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CC

When I try to do a CC update I get an U44M1I210 error message, "Update failed - Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press retry to download again. (U44M1I210)" - help please - re-downloading makes no difference, applies to latest Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CC, others seemed to update without problems. I can see the disk image files in AAMUpdater folder but they will not open and come up with "couldn't be opened - resource busy" message.

Yes Jeff, I did all those several times to no avail.
I've included a small error snippet from two installs here. In Creative Cloud when updating the Apps, all 3 get to 50%, then the failure occurs. Retrying starts at 50% and fails the same way each time.
This first one is a segment from the Indesign updater - I have always had the all hard drive folders with read and write privileges allowed and I checked again, this is still the case so I do not know why this particular error message is arising. The second snippet if from the Illustrator update.

Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:
