Unable to find my iPhone on iTunes

I recently downloaded an update to itunes. Afterward, whenever I connect my iPhone, the device is not recognized by iTunes. I can see the device on My Computer but not my iTunes. I uninstalled and installed iTunes and restarted my phone and no success. Any other suggestions? thanks!

You have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer ? If you do, and your phone doesn't show on the left-hand sidebar of it when connected to it (you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), then see if these troubleshooting pages help :

Unable to sync my iphone with itunes over wi-fi

This might be me be being extremely dumb, but I am unable to sync my iphone with itunes over wi-fi. I have itunes 10.5 on windows, have iOS 5. When I plug my phone into my computer I have ticked the box on the device summary screen enabling wi-fi sync but when I go into my iPhone menu, the "sync now" box is greyed out and it just says that it will resume sync when my computer is available.
Any suggestions>??

It's a 64 bit windows 7, FWIW, but the other iPhone 4 talks nice to a 64 bit windows 7

Unable to sync my iPhone with iTunes all of a sudden...

I'm presently unable to sync my iPhone with iTunes for some odd reason. It says "Syncing is disabled on this computer." I checked the iTunes settings and it said under "Syncing" in the preferences that it was in fact enabled so I don't see why all of a sudden I'm having these problems. Any suggestions?

I first reset the sync services in the (Applicantions - Utilities) Terminal: killall SyncServer syncuid SystemUIServer
Then I went to *User/Library/Application Support and dragged the SyncServices folder to the Trash.
Then I logged out from the Apple Menu.
Then I logged back in.
Now all of the syncing services are working correctly.

I am unable to register my iPhone on iTunes

After 3 days I am still unable to register my iPhone on iTunes. Everytime I try to start the process I receive the message "An error has occured: please try again later".
I have done all of the software updates for iTunes, iPhone, confirmed updated terms and conditions, tried to register as if I didn't have an Apple ID, etc....all to no avail. Help.

It IS a camera.
Turn on the side bar in iTunes, if it is not already on by typing Cntrl + S.
The iDevice should then display in the side bar.

The app is for iOS devices. If you want to access Find my Phone on your computer you need to do it through iCloud.com.

Unable to find rented movies from itunes

Once I download the rented movie, I am unable to find it on my mac book pro. The library only lists TV shows, podcasts, music. My purchased TV shows are listed, but where do I find my rented movies? Thanks!

Unfortunately, rental movies do not appear in Front Row. I believe this is because of the inability of Front Row to alert you (and have you click "okay") to the rental agreement requirements. It may also be because Front Row does not give iTunes feedback about when you started playing the movie and/or when you're done. If you would like to see rental movies in iTunes, as do quite a few people who post in this forum, I would suggest you send Apple some Mac OS X feedback (since there's no form specifically for Front Row):

i dropped my iphone on its back... the phone is still working - when i call it, it rings,,, however, the screen is blank and black... i tried to restart it using the home buttom and top button... still didn't turn on.
i'm trying to sync my iphone via itunes on my windows pc - however, because i have a passcode lock on my phone, itunes sends an error message saying that it cannot sync my phone until i unlock my iphone by entering in the passcode.
i tried to do it, even with a blank screen, but it didn't work.
what can i do?

So I attempted to restore my iPhone 5c but everytime I try to connect with it and do so on iTunes, an error pops up asking for a passcode I don't have no idea about. This is probably going to be an easy fix, and I'm going to feel extremely silly after, but I'm having an issue with my iphone recently. For whatever reason, I can't connect it to iTunes (as obviously stated in my topic name ) I have uninstalled, reinstalled itunes.exe, other apple products, attempted to turn off specific apple services in my advanced settings, ect. (as some of the apple support pages suggest. I may have skipped some steps, I am unsure...) But no matter what computer I go on, it always immediately leaps to autoplay and will only recognize as a portable/storage device after plugging my phone in. Is there something I'm missing? I'm using a windows 8 Laptop, if it helps.

Unable to find CD info on iTunes 10.6.3 when uploading a cd

So, I finally bought a Mac and decided to finish uploading my CD collection into my iTunes. But, when I go to try and do so, EVERY CD says it cannot find the song names for this CD online. I have some odd-ball stuff, but P!nk, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, etc. should probably be out there. I have checked, and all of the programs are updated (OS X Mountain Lion and iTunes 10.6.3). I have also checked and it is set to automatically check for this information. I do run Norton, but have not been having trouble with internet connectivity due to it. Does anyone have a fix for this? Or suggestions? Or is this just "one of those things" that Windows iTunes did and Mac iTunes doesn't?

I don't have an answer for you. But I experience the same issue and I share your pain. In my case, I have to keep ejecting the CD a few times and then put it back in and eventually iTune will find the CD song names to import.
I also notice that sometimes if I quit iTune entire, then put in the CD, then iTune will start and at that point, it will query the Gracenote database for songs' titles. Sometimes, if I start a Safari browser or Chrome, click on a new link, then iTune may work again. But every CD I put in, the very first time may work. But then if I immediately put in another CD, it will complain about the problem in finding the song names. Then I will start the cycle of ejecting the CD a few times and/or close out iTune entirely and then start again. It works sometime, but not every time. I have even tried to use other USB DVD drive and it does the same thing. So this is definitely iTune for Mac issue.
I don't have any issue like this when I use the Windows version of iTune. This is very very annoying on the Mac side. This is also my first Mac. So I don't know how other folks are tolerating this.
Hope Apple will fix this because this is ridiulous and it should not be this difficult. It almost likes that iTune is not accessing the online database to get the names.
P.S. you do want to verify that you are connected to the internet when you are importing your CDs.
