Unable to find WLAN in phone menu

i've got a nokia 5800 but i can't find the WLAN setting in the menu.on my phone this is what's in the menu-menu>settings>connectivity.this is what's in my connectivity menu-network,bluetooth,USB,destinations,connection mgr,data transfer,video sharing & admin settings.what do i do?pliz help.

Welcome to the forums! 
Please find the Wi-Fi options in Menu > Settings and Connectivity > Wireless > LAN. If you cannot find it here, I advise you to perform a soft reset on your phone: type *#7780#. Default lock code is 12345.

    With a backup yes, no backup then no.

    Thanks to both of you for attempting to help.  I finally figured out what was wrong . . . it was a Permissions problem.  Very frustrating, but after scouring the troubleshooting tips I finally found the one that solved my problem.  I had to add a User and give it Read/Write privileges to Lightroom.  The file I had to add the User to was Hidden on my Mac, so that added an even bigger challenge to the mystery.  Only a few days left on my trial version!  I hope I have time to try it out!

    If calc manager was installed after the web configuration, re-run the web comfiguration step. You may also need to cycle the OHS service on foundation afterwards.

    Just got the same error message today.  My phone went to the black screen of death with the error message at the top.  Contacted Verizon via chat.  Was online for 1 hour and 15 minutes only to find out that nothing could be done which I could have told them based upon what I had read on this site.  Of course my phone is out of warranty since I have had it for 1 1/2 years and I am not eligible for an upgrade.  How convenient!  I was told to contact Nokia which I did and they gave me a download to try to reset everything.  It looked like it was working but after almost 3 hours it got to the end and nothing happened.  It just froze even though it said it was done.  I rebooted the phone and am back at the same black screen of death.  Guess I have to buy a used phone and then will have to reconsider whether or not to stay with Verizon going forward.  I have not had any issues with the phone in the past - keep it in an otter box, never dropped, never got wet, etc.  But all of a sudden it goes haywire like this that seems like either a hardware or software problem but something completely out of my control and all I get is sorry, you're out of warranty!

    The problem here is that there is no Device Pack for CUCM 8.0.3 that supports the 8831 :( The ReadMe below is for the last/latest 8.0.3 device pack;

    I am unable to find New Business Components Package.

  • Help, Unable to find connected phone

    New here so please be patient with me lol.
    I have just installed the pc suite, downlaoded the latest version and also downloaded the software updater!
    Ive connected everything and all seems ok, however when starting the software update it jeeps saying unable to find phone!
    Down at my toolbar the pc says found N73 then when i start searching for the phone for the update a new message apears at the bottom tootbar saying n73 disconnected, then the message of the phone cannot be found appears.
    I'm really frustrated as i dont know what to do, i still have the little data symbol on my phone!
    Can someone please help me before i throw the phone and comp out the back door and jump on it!

    Yeah, Pc suite connects, but when the update is searching for the phone the phone disconnects then once the search is complete and it says there is no phone found it automatically reconnects, all very weird!
    Ive disabled firewall and antivirus, im running on Xp and funnily enough on a Dell desktop!
    Hope you get your problem sorted too, looks like im stuck with the older software which is annoying cos the nokia web says an update is available for myphone code......bummer

  • [SOLVED]Unable to install grub "couldn't find /mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst"

    Ok so I was trying to install windows after I had arch installed, used an ubuntu cd to use gparted to create a partition, tried to go to the windows installation but it would endlessly send me back to restart the installation even after succesfully writting all files...
    So now I decided to not install it, went back into ubuntu/gparted, deleted the partition and rejoined the space with my main arch partition and then selected the "boot" flag to boot...
    Cannot boot, grub its still on /boot/ but the MBR its obviously tempered with by windows ( which coincidentally couldn't even find itself after writing mbr to its liking....*sigh* ).
    So I try to use my arch install cd to reinstall grub but i get this:
    "couldn't find /mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst is grub installed?"
    I tried to use the select packages thing to make sure the cd is mounted and mounts fine but it keeps getting me that error message. I managed to boot to my system just fine with arch root=/dev/sda1 but obviosly the kernell does not has my nvidia module which means I can't get into x which means i am using links and since my grub is not loaded i can't even get framebuffer so this is rather inconvenient.
    Im sure im missing a very simple and stupid thing but im so annoyed my brain must be saying "ok im done somebody else figure it out". I still have a backup copy of my grub menu.lst I made before. Do I just delete /bood/grub/ and try again? Am I missing something on the install procedure to be able to rewrite grub? Can I just do it from the command line or with pacman? Any help appreciate it thanks.

    If you can get into your arch and cli then you should just be able to reinstall grub with
    install-grub /dev/sda
    or reinstall grub with
    pacman -S grub
    if the package is messed up or missing.

    I am trying to install tomtom 5 for mobile on my 9300i. Installation is fine but when I try to launch the application it gives the following error.
    system: unable to find the specified object.
    I am not able to find any work around this. Any idea please share.

    I have managed to get TOMTOM mobile 5 working on my Nokia 9300i.
    I think its just that the TOMTOM software was writen before the 9300i was released so it does not know whether the 9300i is series 60/80 or 90.
    So change the file extension names of the file system/apps/ttmobile/ttmobile.app to ttmobile.appx
    If your doing this in the phones file manager you may not be able to see the system directory so press the menu key when viewing the memory card directories in the memory card in file manager, then change the view seetings under the tool pull down menu.
    Then once changing the S60 file extension name go into the system/apps/ttmobile80/ttmobile.appx to ttmobile.app
    This will mean that this file shortcut will now appear on your desktop for Series 80 and not the series 60 version.
    You will need to do the same for the Contacts program.
    Change system/apps/TTnavcontacts/ttnavcontacts.app to ttnavcontacts.appx
    Change system/apps/TTnav80/ttnav80.appx to ttnav80.app
