Unable to generate page using Oracle Web publishing Assistant

I am getting the following error ( seen using event viewer) while generate the Web page using Oracle Web publishing Assistant in Windows NT 4.0:
1. Couldn't find fiber to delete .
Event 5038
2. Page Generator initialization failed.
Event 1010
3. Could not unmap view of the template file, due to error #0 .
Event 6011
null

I'm experiencing the same problem - any help would be greatly appreciated

Oracle Web Publishing Assistant...

Hello everybody.
I4m using the Oracle Web Publishing Assistant. I4m trying to do the TUTORIAL 1 (using the generated defaul template).
I did all the steps, but I can4t to view the page. My conecction with the database is good.
Theese are the steps that I did:
1) Enter database login information (Login=SCOTT, Password= TIGER).
2) Select the Build a Query from a Database Hierarchy method for creating a query.
3) Click Local Database, and navigate to SCOTT > TABLE > EMP
4) Select EMP, and click Next.
5) Select the Once scheduling option. Select any day and any time in the future to generate the web page.
6) Select Generate Default Template File.
4) Click Finish.
After that, I can to see the File name, Location, Schedule and Modified (Not Available).
I press the botton "Generate" but never the botton "Preview" is enabled.
Somebody know why?
I hope that someone can help me!

Our iPads work just fine behind a firewall and the Lightspeed filtering solution in an education environment. If your proxy solution cannot be configured to support IOS maybe you should be looking at another vendor. Products such as 8e6 and Lightspeed can be deployed without the use of a traditional proxy set up.

Invoking a web service not created using oracle web service lib

In order to call out from the database process, is SQL (or PL/SQL) you need to generate some client code, that understand the details about the specific of the service you want to invoke and can produce the correct SOAP request. Once this proxy is uploaded in the Database, you can use it.
There is a set of Database Web services samples that should help you get started. You can also take a look at the developer's guide - see Developing a Web Service Client in the Database.

Report server url to use Oracle BI publisher desktop

Hi,
I have installed Oracle 10g database and Oracle 10g developer suite.
I want to learn to use Oracle BI publisher for making reports.
Today i have installed Oracle BI publisher desktop for making reports in ms-word 2007. when i try to log on in BI Publisher option in ms-word. It ask for username, password & report server.
In my system having java environment and OC4J with Oracle 10g developer suite.
Should i need to installed the BI Publisher Server to fill up the report server url details?
please advice.

Take a look at data templates. You can use the "BeforeReportTrigger" option using a PL/Sql function to accomplish this. Look at the Report Designers guide for information about datatemplates.

Forms6i Server (9iAS R1.x) loadbalancing using Oracle Web Cache

Hello,
I have read that it's possible to use Oracle Web Cache as a software load balancer between multiple Application Servers.
We are running Oracle9iAS R1.0.2.2.2a, with Forms/Reports6i servers on 2 Win2k boxes i.e our Forms6i application is deployed on two seperate boxes in two distinct locations. Users at each location, use their respective App Server url.
Since the application is the same i.e. Forms6i code/fmx is the same for both locations, I am looking into loadbalancing and failover capability that Web Cache might be able to provide.
So basically all users from both locations will point their browser to this Web Cache and the Web Cache will direct each connection to either of the two boxes. So, if either of the boxes dies, Web Cache will divert the requests to the other box.
My concern is whether Web Cache supports this for the Forms requests that it will receive from the users. We are using Servlet Deployment of Forms.
Has anyone done this or has any ideas as to whether it's going to work or not?

we tested this but came across problem with Webcache that have to do with the jsession Forms uses. This is fixed for Oracle9iAS 9.0.2.x. So if you want to run Forms with Webcache in front, then please do this using the latest version of Oracle9iAS V2 Webcache. For Oracle9iAS V1 and Forms Services we recommend not to use Webcache but do the load balancing via JServ.

Login to BI Server using Oracle BI Publisher Desktop 11g

I have been trying to login into Bi Server using Oracle Bi Publisher Desktop. Once I try to login, a credentials error pops-up saying 'Please Contact your administrator for userid/password'. I am sure the credentials are correct because I used them on a different computer of the same specifications as mine for another user. Please help me.

Just found a solution that worked for me:
uninstalled BI Publisher Desktop 11.1.1.6 32-bit
manually deleted old installation directory
renamed all .exd files on harddisk to .exd.bak
deleted all temorary files
installed BI Publisher Desktop 11.1.1.5 as administrator
started word 2010 as administrator

In alert log file it is showing

When I am trying to create a document using Oracle Web ADI Responsibility and using "Ben Ri Process Bnf" integrator, it is showing me error

Help about web publishing assistant...

I have installed the Oracle8i Enterprise Edition in my PC(Winnt) and created some tables. I wanted show the result of query in webpage using IE5. But the web publishing assistant only products the .htx platform files rather than .html files which are needed. It also tells me "Ok" or "Successfully", but the "modified" is always "unavailable". What shall I do?

After installing all the software in the disc driver, then you should be able to publish your application. To begin, take a look at this Developer Zone tutorial http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4791 which shows how to correctly publish your application. In specific, make sure the LabVIEW Web Server is enabled to allow users access to the front panels on the Web.
If you are still having trouble after following the tutorial, please post back more details of your application. Is this a Real-Time application? What version of LV are you using? Are you working with an executable? What error messages do you get when you try to load your applicaiton on the web? List the drivers installed on the cRIO.

Oracle Web Publisher: NullPointerException when starting Java Applet

Hi there,
I'm using Express Server 6.3.4 and Web Publisher 6.3.2 and have created a very simple web briefing -- just a basic web page to see whether it works.
Now when browsing the sample page, an applet is loaded and tells me that several Oracle java classes are loaded. But in the end it fails:
java.lang.NullPointerException at oracle.olap.webAgent.express.Express.execute(Unknown Source) at ....
Does anybody know any solution?

Yes, I tried a sample "application" -- the same error. I'm using IE5.5. To locate the "bug", I did the following:
I saved the generated HTML code (including the applet tag and all parameters) and loaded that "static" page using SUN's appletviewer. After a short error message (something like "Error in xwd_init: you provided extra input '\'") the applet was loaded and displayed properly. So I know that there's neither a classpath problem nor classes are missing.

I have a function requirement that I need to build a web site using UCM and publish it on an idependent production server using publishing utility. Till this point everything is fine, but i have a dout regarding login functionality. As my whole site is static except login.
What i understand till now is, once web site is published using publishing utility, the whole site is compiled to htm (static site), then who can i integarte login functionality in static page??

UCM workflow can take metadada values and / or other derrived or injected values to trigger wf events and routing. this applies to email triggers and templates as well.

Unable to open page in oracle app server but able in tomcat

I am able to run my webapplication (survey) using tomcat and MySQL to do my web application (Work at home). However, when I copy my source files(.java and .jsp) to my existing program at my workplace, (I uses "window .open" to open my survey in another window) I encountered a blank page. I have added a controller(servlet) and have amended the web.xml file to include the controller. Would really appreciate is someone can help. Do i need to restart my application server if there are additional controller and amendments to the web.xml files? I am using Jdeveloper, oracle application server and oracle DB. Thanx!

It is not clear how the application is packages, but to deploy a Web Application on OracleAS, you should package it in a WAR (Web Archive) Have you done that?
You should not deploy by simply "copy file", but packaging the WAR, and use Enterprise manager (or command line), take a look to your server http://server:port/em
