I have installed CRM 5.0 SR2 and i gave connection to portal, i am able to see the Easy acess but i am unable to see the i view of sales manager leads, can any one suggest me what configurations i have to do on CRM side what i hv to do on portal side......urgent...

Hello Lakshmi,
Check whether you have the proper autorization for the user through which you are connecting to the backend from portal.
The connection test for WAS has some bugs. If its connecting to the backend properly, don't worry about the result of the test.

Create SAP Business Workflow for Opportunity from Lead
Use
A lead is a business transaction that describes, stores, updates, and manages the potential business interests of a business partner, and the interactions based on this over a period of time. The goal is to provide the "sales" area with the information gained in the lead, in order that it can be used as a basis for deciding whether to create an opportunity.
The information gathered in the lead is transferred to the "sales" area via the workflow "create opportunity from lead".
In the workflow, you decide whether the opportunity is generated manually or automatically.
If the lead-specific attributes Priority and Lead group fulfill specific criteria, the workflow automatically generates an opportunity. Otherwise, the workflow sends a work item to the sales employee responsible, for manual creation. Once he has checked the data in the lead, the sales employee can either reject this lead or create an opportunity from it.
The workflow is automatically started when the lead is saved.
The sales representative entered in the lead is first taken as the sales employee whose task it is to create the opportunity based on the information in the lead. This person can be determined using partner determination in CRM, depending on the prospect in the lead, and can, for example, be a manager of a sales area. If no sales representative is entered, the workflow takes an organizational unit assigned in the workflow template, and sends the work item to all users assigned to the organizational unit.
Prerequisites
u2022 The type linkage for the start events AttributeChanged and SetErrorFree for the workflow WS10001011 are deactivated as a standard procedure, and, if you wish to start the workflow template, they have to be activated again in Customizing. The workflow task processors must also be maintained. In Customizing, choose Customer Relationship Management Basic Functions SAP Business Workflow Perform Task-Specific Customizing.
u2022 The workflow template uses the user statuses SAAC (accepted by sales) and SARE (rejected by sales) of the status profile CRMLEAD. If you have defined several user statuses, the data flow for task TS10008154 (set status) must be adapted accordingly.
u2022 When the opportunity is created, the workflow template uses the opportunity transaction type OPPT. If you have defined several transaction types for the opportunity, the data flow for task TS10008151 (create opportunity) must be adapted accordingly.
u2022 If the sales employee rejects the lead, the workflow resets the qualification level to value 02 (warm). If you have specified your own qualification levels in Customizing, you need to adapt the data flow for task TS10007918 (change qualification level) accordingly.
Process of Workflow WS10001011 (create opportunity from lead)
The workflow "create opportunity from lead" is started when a lead is saved with qualification level Hot and status Error-free. The system uses the lead-specific attributes Priority and Lead group to check whether an opportunity can be automatically created, or a sales employee first needs to decide. If the sales employee decides that an opportunity can be created, the lead status is set to "accepted by sales", and an opportunity is created in the background. If necessary, this is forwarded to the sales employee to check. If the sales employee rejects the lead, the lead status is set to "rejected by sales", and the initiator is informed by mail.
The workflow is ended if no opportunity is created and
o the lead is deleted or
o the qualification level of the lead is changed to a value other than Hot or
o the status of the lead is changed to a value other than Error-free.

I have this problem: I have two portal federated.
When I create an iView BI7.0 from the consumer portal , that points to the producer portal , when I execute it I obtain the error :

I have configured FPN with EP and BI, both are on same SP level.The connection and the producer registration is successful.
The producer contents can be navigated in Consumer and I can able to copy and paste the producer content in the consumer.
But when I see the preview the content it shows error "

I have checked with same user in both consumer & producer portals, In that case its working fine.
If you checked with other consumer users its asking password.
For this I have tried usermapping with producer id under goto personolize -->remote iviews --> select default alias -->enter id/pwd and save for other consumer id.
How we manage for all consumer users, is there any option to mapping to all users at time.

A client originally purchased 10 Professional seats and 10 CRM-Sales seats. There is only one system defined for this installation. Needing more transaction capabilities, the client recently upgraded one of the CRM-Sales seats to Professional. Effectively, the goal is to reduce the CRM-Sales to 9 and increase Professional to 11.
After purchasing the upgrade, the Contractual Information in the License Key Request section of the portal shows:

In order to deploy the additional professional seat, I've requested a new license with 9 CRM-Sales and 11 Professional. However, I get a "number of licenses users exceeded" message and only a temporary license is issued.
I have searched the Notes and the licensing documentation, but cannot determine how to claim the "Upgrade CRM Sales --> Professional" contract category so as to enable the additional Professional seat.
Any help would be appreciated.

M, I don't believe you need to delete the production system in order to generate a permanent license. When I first generated the license with the additional user, and then found that it was only a temporary license, I was able to regenerate a permanent license by simply reducing the professional seats back to the original value.
Peter, yes, I confirmed that the license was indeed a temporary one. We're now pursuing it as an administrative issue with SAP.

we have enterprise Portal 6.0 with CRM Business package and BW3.5 with CRM Business content. Our perticular interest is CRM Sales and to enable the analytics related to Portal Role "Sales Manager".
The following( some examples) are the BW Web template accesses by the Portal and any detail info/understanding/ BKM is welcome in this.

How do I know which query or Query view this Web Template is referring to?
I didn't find the CRM web templated through the help.sap.com and also in the service market place in the "Analysis scenarios' I couldn;t open the document for the sales analytics. Can you help?

Currently we have a requirement where in agent uses ERP Sales order functionality in IC WEB UI for creating sales order. Incase of any incompleteness in order or any pricing error an activity should get created and should get assinged to Back office guy(CRM User).
My approach is as follows, we will call a custom FM in CRM from the user exit associated with Sales order transaction, This logic gets executed on save of ERP sales order.This custom FM will create an activity in CRM and assing it to back office guy. Other approach is to use the IDOC linked to the VAO1 transaction which inturns calls the custom fm.
Can you please suggest if you have any better approach to this.

Calling a Customer Specific R/3 Transaciton was quite easy in CRM 4.0 / 5.0 in the PC-UI Framework using Object Links. You can do that all by customizing and creating a custom method for a BOR Object in Transaction SWO1.
I think I've used CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to update the Document Flow. The subsequent activities where created by BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CREATEMULTI. I've wrapped all that standard functions in a RFC enabled function module.
It would be possible to provide also a link in the E-Mail to the Manager but the client is using a Citrix environment to provide access to the Portal. But Outlook runs locally. So we decided to use the standard Portal iView to display the Alerts. When you fill the Alert Container with the elements OBJKEY_GUID, OBJKEY_BOR_OBJECT_TYPE, OBJKEY_CRM_OBJECT_TYPE, OBJKEY_METHOD and OBJKEY_LOGICAL_SYSTEM using the Function Module SWC_ELEMENT_SET that provides a direct link to the specific document too.

Unhappy to find out that I was lied to to get the sale
On January 9th of this year I went to my local Best Buy to look at computers because mine had crashed and I had decided to replace it since it was an older model. I was greeted by an associate and I told him specifically that I was looking to spend around $500-$600 and that the computer had to be able to handle a SECOND hard drive. He showed me a couple of different ones and I mentioned the second hard drive several times because I wanted all my data to go onto a the second drive. He continually assured me that the ones he was showing me would be able to handle a second drive. I finally settled on the HP Pavilion 500-424 and went home. Now that I can afford to purchase a second drive and began to look around for what would work on my computer I find that it CANNOT SUPPORT A SECOND DRIVE AS THERE IS NO SPACE FOR ONE. I'm extremely upset about this as it is too late to return the computer and I know that I should have looked into it more but as someone who doesn't know a lot about computers I would at least appreciate it if my local Best Buy wouldn;t lie to me just to get a sale. I would have spent a little more money or even waited till I had more money to get exactly what I wanted. Now I'm stuck with a basically, in my OPINION and for MY NEEDS, a useless computer. And since it seems the only to voice this is on these forums that's what I'm doing. The associates at Best Buy either need extra training or maybe be a little more concered with their customers NEEDS and MONEY. I don't have a lot of money as I'm sure many people do in this ecomony and I don't appreciate being lied to.

i'm unable to get the values of payload. When i use

Thanks!!I think the problem is UME related. I had the same problem once. Try using a system user for searching, instead of the logged on user.

Unable to get the item value in cursor
I have function which returns organization_id for each item selected in Sales Order window.
From this function I will populate warehouse value in shipping tab whenever i am tabbing out from ordered item in Sales Order Form.
But my cursor is unable to get the item id value (Ex: FOR cur_rec IN cus_l (l_item_id)). It is directly going to last return statement and displaying default value.
Please help me out.
